4 out of 5 eggsVery Solid

Pros: I bought this keyboard for a spare rig my friends use when they come over, and I'm thoroughly impressed by it. The first thing that struck me about this keyboard was how light the switches were. They are much smoother and easier to press than most rubber domes I've used, and feel absolutely fantastic. I never would have expected such stellar keyfeel from an eight dollar keyboard. I also like the design of the keyboard. It doesn't take up too much space, and leaves just enough room for everything. The LED indicator lights aren't too bright and aren't intrusive at all. I'm also quite fond of the USB cable. It's surprisingly rigid, considering the price of the keyboard it's being used on. So far it has been run over by my chair and is still going strong.

Cons: I can't say that I'm very fond of the keycaps. They're made of a lower-quality plastic that looked shiny out of the box. Keyboards I've used before in the same price range have had better keycaps than this, so I'm a bit disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Even though I'm not very fond of the keycaps, I refuse to take an egg off for it. This keyboard is so stellar for the price that it's nearly impossible for me not to recommend it to all my friends who need a new keyboard and are on a budget. I'd even go as far as to say that this keyboard is on-par with some 40 and 50 dollar keyboards I've used in the past. I even like it more than my Razer Arctosa! I can safely say that when my current keyboard breaks, I'll be replacing it with this.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly comfortable

Pros: I've been on a long quest to find a comfortable keyboard since my old Keytronic PS/2 keyboard gave out. Curiously, Microsoft has been the best I've found thus far.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsdissapointed!

Pros: its black
has all the keys I need

Cons: it's way too light! holding it is like holding a feather...I had to duct tape 20 dominoes to the bottom to weigh it down! horrible!
A few keys I have to press really hard to make work. I was expecting better from Microsoft.

Other Thoughts: buying something else real quick. will keep this in the closet for emergencies.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little keyboard for the price.

Pros: Cheap! Works like a champ.

Cons: The keys aren't padded with unicorn hide.

Other Thoughts: Interestingly enough, Microsoft makes really good keyboards IMO. They're supposed to be a software company but do a really good job with keyboards. I've owned several MS keyboards ranging from cheapo's like this one to higher end $60-$100 models and I've been happy with all of them.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap

Cons: some keys just dont work, happened since the first day, i have to press them very hard or two or three times in order for them to work.

Other Thoughts: well it was cheap, main reason why i don't want to waste my time and RMA it.

5 out of 5 eggsSeriously.

Pros: I refuse to spend more than 20 bucks on a keyboard, I don't care what it's being used for. Mine is gaming. My last keyboard was 6 dollars from Best Buy and lasted 5 years. I spent 9 dollars on this board and I expect it to last at least 5 years.

Cons: No volume controls. My 6 dollar keyboard from BB had volume controls.

Other Thoughts: MSI Z77A-GD65 MOBO, Intel Core i5 3570K Ivy, 16 Gig Gskill Ares, Asus GTX 670 2GB 256 GDDR5, Samsung 830 SSD, Antec 300 mid-tower, Corsair HX750 Gold.

5 out of 5 eggsNo frills, just what I needed

Pros: * Very quiet, but at the same time, very responsive
* No superfluous media or macro buttons
* No unnecessary plastic hand-rest included (I never use hand-rests with keyboards)
* Full-sized backspace key
* Rounded, bottom-edge, as opposed to a more traditional 90 degree angle edge. I like to place my keyboard at the very edge of my desk instead of far inland, so this rounded edge is really nice.
* Great price

Cons: * No PS/2 adapter

Other Thoughts: No problems gaming on this. I, like other people, prefer simple keyboards. I don't need $60 gaming keyboards. I decided to get this after going to a major B&M electronic store and finding their cheapest keyboard at a higher price than this. I'm glad I did. The wait was not long, either. Good 'ol Newegg shipping-times.
