- Pros: I like it, very responsive, notice a slight movement response time improvement in L4D2, turning the windows key off is awesome too.
- Cons: the white NUM lock LED is too bright...blinding even in daytime.
- Other Thoughts: it feels like a sturdier than average laptop keyboard but full size...some people may not like this.
Very nice!(2 month followup)
- Pros: This is a solid, durable keyboard. Lower profile keys mean a shorter keystroke and more surface area for your fingers. This looks incredibly nice next to my Razer Krait mouse and really makes my gaming setup look professional quality :P The anti-ghosting on the WASD cluster is heavily appreciated especially in command-heavy games like Battlefield 2 and Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. The keys have an excellent tactile feel and after 2 months of heavy gaming use they haven't lost their spring one bit. This doesn't offer any distinct advantages over any other keyboard and it won't magically make you better at games, but it certainly oozes that Razer style I love oh so much :)
- Cons: The multimedia buttons on the top right are covered by a thick plastic membrane and are slightly difficult to feel out and take some considerable pressure to push. This was a far cry from my beloved old Saitek Eclipse(RIP) that had simple raised buttons that were easy to find during an intense gaming session. I use the volume keys daily as the main volume control for my speakers and I am afraid that the plastic over them might crack from use. It already shows some slight stress and you can clearly see the circles where the buttons are. Plain old buttons would have been much better for this keyboard.
- Other Thoughts: Get this one over the original version unless you know your way around the keyboard by heart. I have a friend who got the one with black letters on the keys and you can't read them AT ALL in a dark room. Understandably, he hates it. But after he saw mine, he was all over getting another one with silver keys. Other than the questionable media buttons, this keyboard is flawless. I just wish I had gotten the Lycosa as it's basically the same thing with a back light. I could have afforded it too at the time but this one was such a good deal. Oh well this one will serve me well till the day it dies or the Lycosa goes on sale. At which point this will go to a more needy gamer than myself or the keyboard smash/toss at our local LAN parties :)
logitech to razer
- Pros: -looks real nice
-responsive
- Cons: -feels cheaply made
-loud when pressing keyboards -real light and feels like it'll break real easy
- Other Thoughts: Just received this in the mail today, bought this razer to go along w/ my new mamba. First impression when I opened it was "wow, this it looks nice" until I actually grabbed it. This feels real flimsy and light, feels all plasticky, this feel really cheap compared to the logitech I had, and keys are loud when you press them...Just feels really cheaply made imo; returning this back and going back to logitech
