Logitech's Keyboards have been leading the competition in every way. Their model 967740-0403 continues the trend and with a great price, to boot. The 104 keys in standard qwerty order are as welcome as an old friend. The eight programmable function keys at the top will make sure you have easy access to favorite programs and functions like volume controls. The keyboard is designed to last, and its spill resistant design is going to keep accidents to minor annoyances. This is the keyboard to get for a price that is out of its world.

This is a great keyboard. The media keys are nice and convenient. They worked without any setup on Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux (v6.10). The keys have the right amount of spring that I like. They are fairly quiet. Just a little louder than my laptop keys. The flat black with glossy black trim is easy on the eyes and matches my Logitech mouse.
The keyboard also has a diamond symbol on the ctrl key and a diamond symbol followed by the shortcut function on the z,x,c,v,b,s,f, and p keys (undo, cut, paste, save, find, etc). That is nice if you have older parents or if you just can't remember shortcut keys.

Solid, no-frills USB keyboard

Pros: It works, no muss, no fuss, no driver mess. Has hot keys. Key action is good. Solid platform.
Cons: Keys feel a little soft. Play is not as crisp as I might like. Long stroke, spring is a little heavy. Need external software to remap hot keys (no driver).
Other Thoughts: Dependable USB keyboard, with no baggage to deal with.

Pros: Cheap, USB connector, function keys are useful and work without the need to install additional software.
Cons: The shift keys sometimes do not work and sometimes one of the other keys will act as if they've been pressed twice when they've only been pressed once. It doesn't happen often enough to make the keyboard unusable but it's enough for me to dock it one egg.
Other Thoughts: My speaker's volume control has a short in it and has problems raising/lowering the volume but now with this keyboard and its volume controls I can now control the volume and can put off buying new speakers.

Low quality keyboard

Pros: Calculator key; multimedia keys
Cons: Shift keys don't work consistently.
Other Thoughts: I have purchased many of these keyboards, both for personal use at home and for use at work. Every single one I have used has a problem with both <Shift> keys - they don't register unless you apply an inordinate amount of pressure on them. For someone who uses the keyboard for 'normal' computer functions this is incredibly frustrating; it makes the keyboard completely useless for word processing by a touch-typist.
