Pros: Small, thin, lightweight, comfortable, cheap price. I've been using these keyboard for a while now, and prefer them to any of those old fat ones any day.

Cons: There are no special function keys such as volume, back, forward, home, etc. Linux generally doesn't make use of such things, so for me it is better off that they don't clutter up my keyboard. So, this might even be considered a positive.

Other Thoughts: The keyboard has the compacted home/end buttons like laptop which is a little strange getting used to. Yet, I feel that this layout is better now that I'm used to it.

Non standard keyboard

Pros: Nice looking. Works like it should.

Cons: I am more than slightly annoyed at the HOME, END, INSERT, PGUP, PGDN, and DELETE key layout. The layout makes for a nice compact design, but I can't seem to get used to the above mentioned key locations. Makes it difficult to use these keys that I rely on for copy, paste, & delete shortcuts. My fault for not realizing this at purchase.

Other Thoughts: Stick with a standard keyboard layout if you use many different computer systems/keyboards.

Pros: 1) It's Logitech
2) The clicking of the keys is much more quiet compared to my other keyboard.
3) Take's up less desk space because it's "compact" (which may be a con for some people with very big hands).
4) The price. Why spend $80 on a "gaming" keyboard when you can get this?

Cons: The cluster where the home/end keys are takes getting used to.

There are no volume control buttons. I am not knocking down an egg for either of these. However no volume control buttons may be an inconvenience to some.

Other Thoughts: If you can live without volume control buttons and a weird layout for the home/end key cluster, then GET THIS KEYBOARD! You won't regret it.

It's the best $12 I ever spent next to getting Chinese food from a local restaurant. Yummy!

good key for great price

Pros: -cheap
-good looking
-solid feel for an inexpensive keyboard
-no useless "multimedia" keys (it does have ONE Windows button)
-small footprint

Cons: -page up,page down keys are laptop style (doesn't bother me, but worth mentioning

Other Thoughts: For the money (this thing is dirt cheap), I feel this is a good,solid keyboard. Of course it's no $100 gaming/professional keyboard, but that should be blatantly obvious. I'm a fairly fast touch typist, and this thing feels pretty good to me,not too mushy or stiff. It's also pretty sexy looking.
Everyone has their opinion of what makes a good keyboard, but without trying it yourself, it's almost impossible to say if you personally would like it or not. That said, this keyboard should be perfectly adequate for most people, I think.

Stupid keyboard layout - stay away

Pros: Cheap, works as a keyboard, slightly smaller than standard 104-key layout keyboards.

Cons: The keys feel weird when pressed;

The keyboard uses a non-standard layout when it comes to the (Ins,Home, PgUp, PgDn, Del, End) key block - VERY annoying.

Other Thoughts: The product tour says "Standard 104-key Layout
The Logitech Classic Keyboard 200 features the standard 104-key layout for broad compatibility with computers."

I find this misleading, as the layout is definitely NOT standard when it comes to the (Ins,Home, PgUp, PgDn, Del, End) key block between the numeric block and the regular letter keys.

I have 5 computers with different keyboards, and all the other keyboards use the standard two row layout for the (Ins,Home, PgUp, PgDn, Del, End) key block. This one doesn't, and it leads to constant problems when changing between computers. I guess I should have had a closer look at the picture on the box when I purchased this ...
