Other Thoughts: This combo is really good and I must say that I'm impressed. Haven't lost the signal once and the receiver is sleek with all the indicator lights one would need.
I keep the receiver and the end of my desk at about 2-5 feet from the mouse and I've been as far as about 8-10 feet with no problems losing signal, so I'd say this is perfect if you're buying it for the office.
I haven't really used the The F-mode feature on the keyboard. Not really what I bought it for.

Beware of the rebate offer

Pros: Fast shipping from Newegg. Works great even 6 feet away, haven't changed the batteries yet. You can't see the laser unlike the bright red light of an optical mouse.
Cons: If you buy this product on a rebate offer don't expect to get it from Logitech. Logitech sent me this email regarding my rebate... "Invalid Reason: Exceeds limit: Logitech Cordless Desktop There are either no valid rewards or there is a $0 check reward"
Other Thoughts: The only reason I gave this product 4 stars was the fact that I did not receive the mail in rebate from Logitech. Otherwise the quality of this product gets 5 stars.

Pros: Great combo for the price. Easy to set-up and appears nicely made. The LASER mouse is a real plus.
Cons: The range on this thing is AWFUL! It will work great if you have the transmitter/receiver sitting on a desk really near to the equipment. I got it for a computer attached to my HDTV and had the transmitter/receiver no more than 5 feet from the keyboard/mouse and they glitched all over the place. The transmitter/receiver was not behind stuff or hidden in any way. It was sitting directly across from the keyboard/mouse in unobstructed line of sight (ya I know it is RF and not IR.) But please, 5 feet?? I tried moving it to different spots to eliminate RF interference but no luck. I put fresh batteries in (It came with a set) and that was no help. This thing is just amazingly low powered. Desktop use only! And I hope you don't have a very big desk!
Other Thoughts: 3 eggs off for this one. Come on Logitech, I own lots of your stuff and it has been good as gold. This was a real bummer exception.

Pros: * Excellent range, it's amazing in fact. * No interference with other components. * Light weight. * Seemingly firm build quality. * Reasonable price. * Mouse works on just about any surface and tracks extremely well. * Instant wake up.
Cons: Not bluetooth! The location of the back up and forward buttons on the mouse are bizarre to say the least, but mostly in the way of the left click and right click buttons. That's a dangerous issue for us heavy forum users. Not much in this life will anger you more then typing 5000+ words into an email or a forum, only to click send or submit and have it all wiped out because you hit the left click and the back button simultaneously.
Other Thoughts: While I am seriously impressed with the range of this set, I'd recommend killing the mouse before it kills you. However, I've had both the keyboard and the mouse operating perfectly from 3 rooms away which equals about 30' in this case, not including wall thickness. Obviously, it takes two people to test this kind of range. But test we did, and it passed with flying colors in the range department.
But regardless of range, "I'ma gon kill that dang mouse".
All in all, I could not recommend this set to purchase. It would be fine if gifted, but I'd never buy it again.

Pros: * Good range * Solid signal * Mouse and keyboard are very comfortable to use * On/off button for mouse to conserve battery * Useful additional keys but not cluttered * Attractive design * Simple setup
This is exactly what I wanted out of a wireless keyboard and mouse. I was looking at Bluetooth to get more range but just didn't want to pay those prices. I opted for this after reading a few reviews that it has good range. I found that to be true. I can sit 10-12ft away and it works as well as if I were 1ft away. I haven't tested it from farther just to see how far it can go but 10ft is plenty for me.
I think the design is great. Very simply look but stylish. The mouse is very ergonomic for left or right handed users (I switch back and forth between hands to give one hand a break once in awhile or say if I'm eating or writing while using the keyboard).
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: So long as this setup continues to work as it is working now I am very happy.
