pretty unusable keyboard
- Pros: 1. superb mouse (not regarding bluetooth connectivity)
2. key are very soft and comfortable.
- Cons: 1. the worst thing: no numeric pad arrows! the whole numeric pad is used only for number input - there's even no "numlock" key at all.
2. no right "window" key. i used to use it very often - locking my computer by "win"-L. 3. "insert" key is turned to tiny little thing and moved far far away. "delete" key is made bigger - all the time appears under my fingers. :( 4 . no "scroll lock" key - i got a number of programs, that uses it. 5. poor response of a mouse because of bluetooth - unacceptable for gamers (i compared with the same mouse "mx revolution" - RF works perfectly). 6. the keyboard's LCD could be useful, but not backlighted - it seemed to me first.
- Other Thoughts: i don't understand, why such a keyboard was made. it's totally inconvenient and hardly to use, especially for those, who've been working with PC for a long time and got strong keyboard habbits. i had been using this combo for just one evening, and returned it back to the store the very next day.
It's average. Not good, just average.
- Pros: I've been using this KB+mouse set for about three weeks now. It's average. It "looks" kinda neat, but actual functionality is lacking compared to previous Logitech wireless keyboards, of which I've owned nearly every model since the late 1990s. Does not suffer from the terrible Bluetooth problems that the previous MX 5000 had, if you can consider that a Pro.
- Cons: No OS X or Linux support (yes, I use Windows, Linux, and OS X). The LCD display has no value whatsoever -- it wastes battery and encourages you to look at the keyboard, which is a very poor habit to develop. The audio control buttons, which I would like to use often, are terrible. Very few programmable feature buttons compared with previous models. Small Esc and Insert keys, which I do actually use on a daily basis. The mouse charging cradle fits poorly and I often find that it's not resting in a position where it's making contact to the charging base. Finally, while the mouse is pretty good, I like it less than the previous model only because this one feels smaller, and so my fourth and fifth fingers are off the side of the mouse.
- Other Thoughts: Logitech is selling this keyboard on looks alone. If you were to value the keyboard on it's tactile usefulness, it's pretty poor. While it's average, works, and would be generally good as an average wireless keyboard, this is supposed to be their top-of-the-line. Definitely check out Microsoft modesl while you're shopping. I really want to like Logitech products, but they are making it really hard. The MX 5000 was a disaster due to the Bluetooth connectivity problems and the poor software (which has gotten better). This one is just average. Maybe for the next release, it will be as good as the old MX 3100, which I consider to be the best keyboard+mouse they ever made -- I own one and have a second, just in case they never make anything better.

Great Mouse, Bad Mouse
- Pros: Great mouse! I actually have just the mouse, not the keyboard/mouse combination, but the mouse itself worked like a charm, for about 2 months.
- Cons: After 2 months, the mouse refused to charge. I didn't buy the mouse on newegg (like I should have). I have contacted Logitech and they claim they can't RMA it until I give them a valid receipt. Arg! How can I get them a receipt if I don't have the receipt (who keeps mouse receipts?!?). So now I have an expensive mouse that no longer charges and I can't use it...this was my favorite mouse .. but no longer am able to use it.
- Other Thoughts: Besides the charging issue (the lights don't even come on when I set it on it's charging cradle), this mouse functioned better than any other mouse I know. Buttons, Buttons, Buttons!
Logitech warranty is terrible.
- Pros: Decent keyboard
- Cons: Getting Logitech to replace my dead keyboard has been a nightmare.
- Other Thoughts: Very disappointed in Logitech warranty replacement.
Several years ago I had the same problem with getting a mouse replaced. Finally got it after several months. This time they replaced my Revolution MX5500 after a week or so of emails but then the replacement died. After 50 days of emailing them they finally decided to replace my dead keyboard in awhile since their stock is low, mind you they have them in stock but won't send me one yet. Decent product when it works but when it dies it is like pulling teeth to get Logitech to live up to their warranty.
