3 out of 5 eggsAfter over two years of use...

Pros: Well thought out keyboard. It can be comfortable to use. It has all the additional keys that most people need.

The keyboard is the stronger point but both mouse and keyboard have drawbacks...

Cons: Prior to this K&M combo I had the S510, which I used for about 6 years and played a lot of games on. It was a work horse. I abused the hell out of both the keyboard and mouse and despite being wireless I never felt at a significant disadvantage while playing and they are still working. I am actually typing this review on them rather than the MK550, why? The mouse has decided to give up on me, a capacitor on the board is loose and sometimes decides to stop working.

Now, I have been using this combo for a couple of years now, about 2.5, but I haven't been super hard on it and I never really got used to the keyboard after 2 years. I really couldn't fully adapt to the layout or the wave. I feel like it is one of those ideas that is good in theory but not in practice and it's not for everyone.

Be warned and I will repeat: This set is not for everyone and I wouldn't recommend it

Other Thoughts: I know there are people out there that scoff at wireless K&M for gaming but I don't care. It works, however, this isn't a strong set for that. I'd especially recommend against usage for faster paced gaming, especially FPSes.

That's just an opinion, others may be happy with it, but I have not been. YMMV.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard and Mouse

Pros: This is a great Keyboard and Mouse set from Logitech. I have two of them, one at work, and the other in my home office. There are a ton of programmable keys on the keyboard for everything from adjusting the volume and magnification of the screen, to starting selected programs and locking the computer. The mouse has two click buttons and three programmable buttons and a wheel. The side buttons are good for browsing the web, as you can set them to be page back and page forward. This also comes in handy with viewing pages in MS Office and Adobe. The batteries last for ever, I leave them turned on 24/7 and they have not died yet in my home office set, and I have had it for over a year. The connectivity is strong and very responsive. I ain't sure it would work to well for FPS games since it is wireless, but it is perfect for everything else.

Cons: I haven't really found any Cons with this set as of yet. I will update my review later on if I happen to stumble upon one, but for now it works perfectly for me.

Other Thoughts: It isn't a con, but I do wish it had a back light for the keys. I tend to work on programming at night once my wife has went to sleep, so I leave the office light off as not to bother her, and sometimes it can be a hassle if I am trying to use a particular programmed key and can't see it. Sometimes it is hard to remember which key is which when it comes to the programmed keys since I use two different configurations at home and at work.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Set

Pros: I like the feel and look of this combo. The price was great also. I use it as part of my docking station for a ThinkPad.

Cons: The keyboard has had some lag issues. Sometimes it is slow to keep up with typing if it's been asleep. Once it syncs up then there isn't any issue.

Other Thoughts: This is a decent set for medium use. If you are a constant typer then you'll want to get an higher end set.

2 out of 5 eggsNice feel, poor functionality

Pros: This keyboard and mouse combo comes at a good price with the mouse performing just as expected. The keyboard feels nice on your wrists/hands and the keys are large enough so even my fingers can accurately hit keys while it sits on my lap! The keyboard has a lot of features on it, such as the volume control buttons on top, that make it pretty nice as well.

Cons: The mouse is excellent, no complaints there. But the keyboard is troublesome. This will sound exaggerated, but I tested this with a tape measure and was saddened by what I found. With the receiver on the usb extender, my keyboard would not function beyond 3 ft of the receiver. Not even that, if it is tilted just right 2 ft from it, it will lose all functionality. Key stroke lagging makes gaming very frustrating as well. There will be moments where I'm waiting for the greater part of 10 seconds for a key to be hit. That's a great amount of time in a firefight on a video game!

Other Thoughts: I have tried to reinstall the driver, making sure to completely uninstall the previous (including removing relevant keys from the registry) and checking to see if the batteries were low. I would recommend only getting the mouse. This wireless keyboard is ridiculously bad, no distance needed to lose connection and key lagging everywhere.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Comfortable contour, soft touch plastics, the feel of the keys and the mouse... everything is great with these. This is my favorite that I've ever used, definitely preferred over microsoft or computer branded wireless units.

Cons: No, there aren't any, this set up is great!!

Other Thoughts: Just buy this. I'll make it easy for you, I've looked at all of them. :)

1 out of 5 eggsJunk A Real Surprise from Logitech

Pros: Nice design and key layout

Cons: I did not buy this keyboard at Newegg (my mistake). This keyboard has very serious communication problems with the unifier. After over one month Logitech still has NO FIX. There is always a 5 - 10 second lag with every key press even if the keyboard is next to the unifier in the USB port.

Other Thoughts: I am very surprised that Logitech is still selling this keyboard.
