1 out of 5 eggsBad support - Worse product.

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: Cherry Reds, nice backlight, compact.

Cons: Terrible customer service, braided cord tightly wrapped.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this product on 9/12/2014. At first I loved this product, my first mechanical keyboard with the famous cherry reds. I purchased an Razer OrbWeaver and needed a compact keyboard to fit on my smaller desk. Anyways on 10/14/2014 the product stopped working. I immediately called Cooler Master and they advised I had to register my product online and request an RMA. I did and two days later it was accepted and I was on my way to a replacement! Two more days go by and I never recieved a return shipping label. I contact them once again and they advise they do not pay for return shipping after thirty days. Reminder this keyboard is ONLY 32 DAYS OLD! After argueing with their rep for about thirty minutes he said he will make a one time exception and I will recieve a return label within 24 hours. 38 hours later to my amazement I had no emails (yes I checked spam and junk.) I contact them for the third time and they say there was a mixup and they are sending me yet another label, again three days later no label.

I contacted the good folks at NewEgg and after showing evidence of my numerous attempts to resolve this issue and cooler master showed no participation. NewEgg than issued an RMA on my product and I will be receiving store credit for this 100$ piece of plastic.

I have never once bought a cooler master product and after this experience I never will again. When my logitech products break they send me a new one no questions asked, I don't even have to send them my broken product first.

If Cooler Master decides to step up and make this right I will gladly update this post. But for the time being I am posting this here along with toms hardware and other popular forums to warn fellow gamers of this faulty product and terrible customer support.

My apologies for any typing errors as I am typing this on my Samsung Galaxy.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Kevin,

I incredibly apologize for this issue. I have gone and looked up your RMA to see that a return shipping label has been issued to your account. If it is still not there, please contact me today on Livechat or call 888.624.5099 so we can quickly get this resolved for you.

Respectfully,

Robert N.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Durable Keyboard

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: Cherry MX Red Switches without the CLICKYNESS I don't like from the Cherry MX Blue Switches. Heavy Duty. Doesn't slide around the desk like my last keyboard did.

Cons: No wrist rest and sits a little high, but easy to get used to. Only took me around 3 days of use to get used to its height. Lot's of modes for lighting and key locks.

Other Thoughts: Note to self* When a zombie bursts into my house and I insist on playing my games, I have no doubt I will be able to take out a zombie with this keyboard. Then turn around and start playing again.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite Impressed

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: Really, Really smooth keys (the switches are like heaven),
the backlight is nice and bright, but can also be turned down,
the USB cord looks and feels pretty durable- I'm glad it's quality matches its price,
Great feedback,
I love the FN lock, and the winlock. theyre pretty awesome, gotta say

Cons: Only thing I really dislike is

LEDs for fnlock, the arrow keys, and the winlock button are indepenent of the rest of the keyboard, and it is to show whether they are active or not. While it is cool, I would prefer all my keys to be lighted up by default.

also, the only other thing is I was never really fond of compact keyboards, since i use both the numpad and arrow keys so much, but, its not a dealbreaker. just a new thing to get used to

Other Thoughts: I really have only had this for a day, and I'll probably write a review after I know how it lasts. But, I am really impressed with it. The each keystroke is like heaven- its realy smooth and responsive. This is a great gamer keyboard for someone who is looking for something that has quality- but isn't going to break the bank.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't miss with this...

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: Ease of use; nice backlighting of keys; totally cool gaming keyboard; bought it as a holiday gift for my 14 yr old tekkie and he loves it so much, I had to order another one for my 13 yr old tekkie...

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Don't use supersaver delivery during a snowstorm - lol - my postman reported that it was undeliverable, due to their laziness of not wanting to go up my driveway. Had to order a second one to replace the first, but the first was delivered a day or two later! Now I'll have three keyboards!! I think I'm gonna start gaming....

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Keyboard!

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: *Bright back lights that are adjustable
*Very responsive keys
*Registers every key while typing even if holding down multiple keys.
*Doesn't slide while typing

Cons: *Arrow keys are a part of the number pad so switching between number lock and arrow keys gets a bit annoying
*A bit bulky
*Loud keys (not bad for me but maybe for others)

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is pretty good for the price and I had no problems while gaming, every key is very responsive. The only reason i don't give this 5 eggs is because of the arrow keys being in the number pad so having to switch between using the number lock key gets annoying while just using it for everyday typing. Excellent for the price

5 out of 5 eggsCompact and Affordable

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: Lighted, good Cherry Red MX key response, compact for portability

Cons: No USB pass through for mouse

Other Thoughts: Bought to be a portable gaming keyboard for my son's laptop. He uses a Razer Black Widow Ultimate at home and this one on the road

4 out of 5 eggsMechanical goodness

This review is from: CM Storm QuickFire TK - Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with CHERRY MX Red Switches and Fully Backlit

Pros: The responsiveness of this keyboard continues to astound. I love the tactile feel of pressing a key, so satisfying.

Cons: Some of the hot keys don't work so well. It has some trouble booting the bios with this keyboard as it doesn't have dedicated function keys. I keep a microsoft keyboard around to boot to my BIOS if I need to.

Other Thoughts: Small size is a pro and con as the number pad and arrow keys are combined along with others. But it fits perfectly on my keyboard trey where space is at a premium.
