5 out of 5 eggsVery Very Nice

Pros: Good sturdy quality. The backlit keys are very clear and easy to see. Decent variety of illumination levels. I really like the USB ports and headphone and mic ports. Those are a nice addition.

Cons: The keys with a different shift-status character have the two different characters right next to each other (as opposed to on top of one another). I don't like that, but I think I understand why it was done. The blue LEDs are above the switches, so that's where the illumination is concentrated most. Still, I think they could have spread the characters further from center instead of being right next to each other.
Also, a minor point, I realize the Scroll Lock key is hardly ever used, but I still wish there were a light for it like there is for Caps Lock and Num Lock.
(I'm not trying to sound petty with these cons, but, If I'm going to drop $140 on a keyboard, I'm going to be pickier than usual.)

Other Thoughts: This is my first mechanical keyboard. I think I'm spoiled on them now! I love the "klack" of the keys.
I think I'm glad with having gone with the Cherry MX Brown switches. Because of my many years of using membrane-based keyboards, I tend to push much harder than necessary. It's taken me a while to get used to the "tactile bump".

5 out of 5 eggsIts a Mechanical Keyboard

Pros: Nice led lights, you can adjust the levels with ease. Cherry brown mx keys barely have any resist when pressing keys. Palm rest has a nice rubber feels smooth compared to other cheap plastic ones. The keyboard cord is one long cord it reaches further than the average keyboard. Basically its a mechanical keyboard and what you expected to be. If anything the material used to make this keyboard is top quality.

Cons: Those orange keys that come with it, throw them away its not even rubber its just plastic that is orange. I was thinking those might be rubber wrong! You would think they will send rubber keys with a matching LED lights. As to be expected this is a mechanical keyboard so its a bit thicker and taller than simple ones. So if you have a keyboard tray on your desk and like to type while the keyboard is under desk(like the keyboard tray not pulled out) you will have take it out or you will be hitting the desk with your hands when typing or playing a game. The num lock light and the rest are not adjustable, they are pretty bright. The keys on themselves have the ones you have to hold shift to get, are next to each other, for example =+ key thats how it exactly looks on the key. Side by side.

Other Thoughts: Why did I give it five stars from what I have from cons. Well its a Mechanical keyboard. They cons are not going to affect the keyboard performance. Many people don't have keyboard trays, know how to type already and know the keys positions and so on. The keyboard is definitely a five star keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsNightHawk or Apollo?

Pros: I have the Nighthawk Keyboard from Max Keyboard. I paid $150 at Max Keyboard for mine. This is a great deal at $109.99.

-Feels Great
-Built Tough
-If you go to the Max Keyboard website you can buy key caps for your board and customize it to your liking.
-Individually back lit.

Cons: I guess the only con would be that you are adding a middle man. Rosewill is buying these boards from Max Keyboard. They add they're logo and sell them. Not sure how that's going to help on returns or customer service.

Other Thoughts: I've had mine for over a year. It's a great keyboard. I recommend it to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggsusing one of theres

Pros: -mech keyboard and it wont break in 2 seconds like some of the cheap ones

Cons: -the LEDs wont turn off when you sleep the computer.
-the plastic on the keys feels different. not bad just different
-the keys attract fingerprints :D

Other Thoughts: the cons may not be the same because i didnt get the "rosewill" keyboard i got mine from a different company

Manufacturer Response:

We're glad to hear your experience with the Apollo RK-9100xBBR is positive. To help your issue with the LEDs not turning off when your computer is in SLEEP mode, there is always the option to manually turn off the LEDs of the keyboard by pressing FN+2 (on the num pad) until the LEDs are off. It will cycle through the various brightness modes until the backlighting off. (Off, low, medium, max, and breathing mode)
