4 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Nice keys, holds up well to heavy use. Space key is very helpful.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have purchased 8 or so of these and use them for a hand held device, only managed to wear out one so far.

1 out of 5 eggsTHE WORST!!

Pros: Decent design, space bar is cool, but this thing is worthless as a keypad.

Cons: Every time you press a button it sends a numlock command along with the number command. So if you press 8 it will type 8 and use the numlock command of up arrow. Regardless if numlock is turned on or off. If you press 9 it types 9 and uses the page up command etc. This makes the keypad useless. There are other reviews on other sites with the same problem, I wish I would have done more research. Having a keypad type arrow up, down, left, right, page up, page down, end and home every time you type a number is pure garbage. Used in multiple computers to confirm it was keypad.

Other Thoughts: I cant believe this even got on the market, useless.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, cheap, and good when it works.

Cons: My first one was broken. A few of the keys would not work at all. So, Newegg replaced it with another one after I RMA'ed it.

2 out of 5 eggsWhat Happened?

Pros: space bar works good for right hand, and the pinky if used with the left hand.

Can take a beating, I cant believe it even works with the condition it was in when I got it.

Cons: Came with the 7 key floating around the packaging. The top and side edge is melted, twisted, and sharp. I dont know how this got so dis-figured without any damage to the packaging.

This probably slipped by the non-existent quality control at the factory.

Other Thoughts: The 7 key is a little sticky, but the edge my wrist sits on is not sharp or melted, so I wont be returning this.

The space bar is easy to get used to if you use this as a keypad (I use it as a gamepad, with up, down, left, right, reload, use, altFire, and crouch all mapped to the keys.

2 out of 5 eggsLoose rattly buttons

Pros: I can keep my mini keyboard on my desk, and when I need a ten key slide it out. It has a backspace key on it.

Cons: The buttons feel loose and rattly. It feels cheap and my fingers didn't agree with it, I'm pretty fluid with 10-key, it has really taken some getting used to to work with it with any type of fluidity. I would look at others if I hadn't already bought this one. I've heard people complain about keyboards and things like before and have never really cared what I type on, but this thing really bugs me. But I will keep it and use it, it isn't worth returning and exchanging.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's Nice

Pros: Great number pad for the price. All the keys work.
one thing that I was worried about was the NumLock. I was worried that when it was on on the keypad, it would be on the computer as well, thus making me hit function keys instead of the letter I wanted. This is not the case. When the numlock is on on the keypad, the onboard keyboard on the laptop is unaffected. It's nice that it has a backspace key right on it.

Cons: I find the the space button gets in the way when trying to put it right next to my lappy. Also, my CD-ROM is on that side so it gets in the way of that, but I hardly ever use the CD-Rom anyway so it is not a big deal for me.

Other Thoughts: overall, nice product

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job, but QC suspect . . .

Pros: It's cheap and it works fine under W98SE and XPSP2 as stated. The extra space key, backspace key and 00 key are handy.

Cons: I bought two units. One was fine, but the other had a very mushy ENTER key, like the spring was missing. I was going to return it to NEWEGG but it's not worth the cost, so I decided to take it apart and see what was wrong. Luckily it screws together unlike so many cheap devices these days. The screws are under the rubber footpads. It took a little force to separate the unit after screw removal. The springs are really little silicon cones that fell out easily, and they contact a PC film. I reseated all the cones, reassembled the unit, and now all the keys operate properly with the same force, without mush. Whether the keys will operate for 10 million keystrokes as the package states is another question. The keypad isn't as nice as the one on my IBM Model M desktop keyboard, but it's a lot smaller and lighter to carry with my Thinkpads.
