5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best customer service around

Pros: I had this keyboard for 4 years, but only used it for 2 years heavily when I used to play semi-pro CS 1.6 - I used to play 6 hours a day minimum and there were times I played 10-12 hours. I used to play this game almost everyday. So due to heavy usage on keys A-S-D-W Shift, CTRL and Spacebar, they worn out a bit and lost the color on it. I sent email to Mionix and they sent me replacement cap set for free of charge. On top of it, they shipped it via fedex express 3 day guaranteed. You dont see this kind of customer service now a days.

Cons: Keys worn out little too fast considering these keyboards last forever. They may use better paint on keyboard. But this keyboard going strong for 5th year. Once I replaced the keys, now it looks like brand new.

Other Thoughts: I was in the market for a new headset. After the excellent customer service experince, I ordered Mionix nash 20. I am also in the market for a mouse since my steelseries ikari at the end of its life after 7 years. I will order either Mionix Naos or Caster after I study them and choose the one has the similar grip as my Ikari.

5 out of 5 eggsGood board

Pros: The key board is very sturdy, I like the keystrokes and the backlight is decent. People have mentioned something about the top layer of the keys rubbing off but I've had the board for over 3 years with very heavy use and the keyboard looks exactly the same. Mionix tech support is fantastic

Cons: Back lighting burnt out after waranty ran out. I contacted mionix and they sent me a new PCB to install in the keyboard. It's just plug and play, I wasnt expecting anything but mionix stepped up to the plate.

Other Thoughts: I will be purchasing additional mionix products in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsFeels good.

Pros: Black MX Cherry Switches.
Rugged build design.
Back Lit.
Option USB 2.0 ports.
Feels good to type on.
Wrist support bar.

Cons: I noticed the key caps wear out or start to wear off rather within a couple weeks of use. *Especially if you are a heavy user of the keyboard. (Forums, etc.)

Other Thoughts: This keyboard is good but I recommend getting replacement keycaps from somewhere.

3 out of 5 eggsGood keyboard - quality concerns

Pros: The Zibal 60 is a nice and sturdy keyboard. I haven't tried slamming it into my desk in a fit of rage, but I think it would hold up better than most keyboards; it's pretty rugged.

Cons: A lot of people have been complaining about keys wearing out and whatnot. I've owned the keyboard for about 10 months and have not had that issue. Of course, I don't use it for 15 hours a day or anything, but still, no issues there in my case.

However, the full "on" illumination mode (meaning all the keys are lit up) just went out from out of nowhere. I can change between "off" and "WASD" illumination, but the full "on" no longer works. I contacted Mionix about this yesterday via a support request through their website. I haven't got a response yet but it's still early.

Other Thoughts: While it seems to be a pretty sturdy, true mechanical keyboard, there are obvious quality issues from my experience and the reviews on Newegg as well as other sites. I don't know about you, but I'm not really excited about having to trade in my keyboard every 6-12 months because something fails on it. So please consider this before purchasing.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems since 2011

Pros: Durable keystrokes. Fairly Quiet when typing vigorously. The lower threshold to application of keys is effectively beneficial for when you want to type fast, or you're playing computer games and there's a more prompt response to your fingers actions. Having the threshold between key presses, makes for less work that your hands have to do, and therefore doesn't cause your hands to get as tense if you are playing or typing for long hours.
This is a rock solid keyboard. Durable. Quiet and above all reliable. I have replaced all of my Saitek and Logitech equipment with Mionix stuff, and have not had to replace any of them since. Prior to switching to Mionix, I was replacing my Logitech MX310/300 perhaps once a year; and the Saitek Keyboards probably even more often.

Cons: No cons. Quality Keyboard, and quality products in general. Highly recommend their mice as well, for people that use their equipment a lot for extensive/professional gaming, etc.

Other Thoughts: It's not often that I review a product unless I really want to have my opinion heard, but I had to in this case since I see a few complaining customers. I can say that no matter what keyboard you buy you're going to wear your keys down if you spend more than a couple hours on the computer a day, utilizing the keyboard extensively; so that should not be a factor to determine the value of this keyboard.

3 out of 5 eggsService/Feel Great! Endurance Poor 8(

Pros: Looks great, feels even better, practical and versatile

Cons: backlights keep going out, this is my second one to own, neither have lasted a combined total of 8 months

Other Thoughts: I got this from newegg in Oct. 2012. Overall it's an excellent keyboard, I love the feel of the mechanical black cherry switches. It's aesthetic is simple yet geared for my tastes, and it has multiple functions that are easy to access and practical. Mionix customer service is excellent. I'm using my second one right now, as the backlights went out on the first one. Mionix immediately replaced it with another, and this one has only been in use for less than 2 months and the backlights just went out on it as well. So i'm waiting on Mionix to get back in tough with me. They claim they don't do refurbs, and when they replaced my first one, it looked to be brand new when I pulled it out of it's packaging. However, it's clear that they have a manufacturing issue with this model, and near to resolve it as it as actually soured my taste for their products even with all the positives. I don't want a product that breaks, obviously, and even though the service has been great, I shouldn't have to use it in the first place.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: Pretty standard keyboard if it works

Cons: It frequently stops working and takes a few seconds to get back up, I may have to unplug and plug it back in, I may have to reboot, and I may even have to plug in a replacement until it decides to start working again.

I've had it die out on me a few times now where I'm forced to just switch to another keyboard in the meantime until it decides to fix itself. It doesn't work on any computers during this time, while other keyboards work without issue.

The LED lights on a few keys are also placed too low and stand out too much. The larger keys (caps, shift, space) are not firmly set on the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: Will never buy another Mionix product. The Naos 8200 has been great since I've had it but dealing with Mionix support regarding the Zibal has been a nightmare. If you must purchase this keyboard, buy an extended warranty from Newegg -- you'll need it.

1 out of 5 eggsZibal 60 Review

Pros: Black Cherry Keys
Simple Design

Cons: Build Quality (slowly fell apart)
Warranty (Mionix Ignoring E-mails)

Other Thoughts: Was a good keyboard until certain keys stopped being responsive. Then the backlighting went almost completely (only wasd works). I know things break but that's what warranties are for and I have e-mailed Mionix a million times and no response. Do not buy!

3 out of 5 eggsMionix Keeps Sending me Bad Replacements?

Pros: Solid build, backlit keys, good wrist rest, all mechanical keys, built in USB 2.0 hub, audio pass thru

Cons: Have 2 of these. Had the one I was using have keys stop working and put in RMA for replacement. They sent me a replacement board that had many keys that did not work. They had me send back again. They sent me one that was even worse and now don't respond to email when I request a good replacement. I think they have QA and stock issues.

They also had paint coming off of key caps. They sent me entire set of replacement keys. I had to do all the work to replace. Believe me when I tell you "that is a lot of work!" I couldn't move my hand when I was done. Cramps!

Other Thoughts: All and all a good keyboard if you can get a good one out of them and IF the would provide working replacement when you don't. Can't believe the game they are playing with me to get a good replacement!
