18 dedicated, customizable macro keys provide easy access to your most frequently used macros, presets and key combinations. Full Key Matrix Anti-Ghosting and 20 Key Roll-over on USB detects and reports any simultaneous combination of key-presses with each key press being reported independently. The action is predictable and linear unlike lesser gaming keyboards that have a tactile bump or the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.
  • newegg 18 Dedicated, Customizable G-Keys Easily access to your most frequently used macros, presets and key combinations even during the most intense action. You can record up to 54 programmable functions accessible from three separate banks, ideal for grouping macros by function, or access. Macros can be created on-the-fly, customized, and activated with a single keystroke.
  • newegg Full Key Matrix Anti-ghosting Our expertly designed anti-ghosting technology provides flawless control even when you're pressing multiple keys at once. The K90 has individual switches with dedicated diodes for each switch so every key press results in an input and is 100% ghost free without tradeoff or compromise.
  • newegg 20-key Rollover (20KRO) on USB Typical USB gaming keyboards are limited to the USB standard six-key rollover. The K90 features increased performance with a 20-key rollover implementation on USB at a blazing fast 1ms (1000 reports per second) reporting rate.
  • newegg Professional Grade Brushed Aluminum Chassis with Laser Etched, Backlit Keys The rugged aluminum chassis provides increased durability and stability compared those that are primarily plastic. 3 out of 5 eggsLow environmental resistance

Pros: Satisfying feedback
Feels nice

Cons: Zero liquid tolerance
Switches are mounted at surface

Other Thoughts: While a nice keyboard, the switches are essentially mounted at the surface... It has absolutely zero tolerance to even a drop of liquid, and fails catastrophicly to any contact with liquid until it dries out. So If you are one to have a drink at your computer, do not buy this keyboard. Membrane keyboards tolerate much worse spills than this will, which is just a drop on a switch.

3 stars due to nice keyboard but 0 tolerance to environment

1 out of 5 eggsGreat, while it works...

Pros: The keyboard is really solidly constructed and looks great. The LEDs are pretty and the braided USB is a really nice feature. While the keyboard is functional, it's an absolute joy to type and game on.

The macro keys are super useful, the shortcut playback and volume keys are convenient, and even though not all the keys have mechanical switches, it was one of my favorite keyboards I've owned.

If not for its awful reliability and short lifespan, I probably would have given this thing 4 eggs.

Cons: As other users have mentioned, this keyboard is prone to failure. You'd think a mechanical keyboard would be reliable and Corsair would have more faith in their product to warranty it for more than 2 years.

So, of course, shortly after the 2 year mark, the LEDs start flickering and going out on the keyboard. If it was just the lights, that would be annoying, but when the lights go out, none of the keys work anymore either. The light flick out and the keyboard becomes non-functional.

Unplugging and plugging it back in would usually fix it, but it's still annoying and troublesome.

A few months later, the lights went out for good and the keyboard was beyond saving. The keyboard died. An incredibly short lifespan for the investment.

Other Thoughts: I've had cheap, bargain bin membrane keyboards that have lasted longer than this thing.

I am incredibly disappointed with this K90 keyboard.

I've used mechanical keyboards from other manufacturers and have been greatly pleased with their performance. I'd recommend checking out some other brands before considering a mechanical keyboard from Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsNever fails me

Pros: - Beautiful Brushed Aluminum.
- Cherry MX Keys.
- More Macro buttons than anyone could ever need.
- Usb pass-through.
- Sturdy braided cable.
- Many more little things.

Cons: - Price.
- Not all the keys were mechanical in this keyboard.
- The light colored aluminum is a magnet for hair/crumbs/blemishes.
- Macro keys do not have the same brushed aluminum finish around them.

Other Thoughts: I've spilled water, juice, soda, and tea on this kayboard. After a few hours of air dying upside down, it's always good to go again. I must have gotten a lucky board, as I've never had a single light go out or key fail. The only minor thing that I could think of at this point is that my left arrow key comes off little easy when I take the caps off off to clean the board. Really wish corsair would make boards in this color again, I'm not a fan of the black aluminum keyboards.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy

Pros: Backlit keys and macro buttons

Cons: The keyboard is not recognized during POST. I went to reinstall windows, but was unable to push a key to boot to the disc. Other posts and help forums say the only fix would be to flash an updated BIOS. The keyboard arrow keys worked in the BIOS, so although I was hesitant to flash the BIOS, I did so. The flash went fine and when it came time to click the OK button after the flash was completed successfully, the enter button wouldn't work and my Corsair M90, which also didn't work in the BIOS, was unable to click the OK button. I ended up pressing the reset button which ended up bricking my motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I won't recommend this buy. Any keyboard that is built and then only works with certain motherboards in this day and age is unacceptable.

3 out of 5 eggsCorsair's beauty.

Pros: Excellent keyboard. Typing takes some getting used to coming from non mechanical to mechanical. smooth keypress, excellent layout.

Cons: I dont know if others out there have this same issue, but key ghosting. I use "WASD" keys frequently, and every so often one of the keys seems to stick. the switch itself isnt stuck, which is weird. also wish all the g keys were mechanical, unfortunatly the K95 came out about 2 weeks after purchasing this.

Other Thoughts: score one for corsair, although the ghosting is annoying.

4 out of 5 eggsBuilt like a tank

Pros: I like the keyboard. My first mechanical. Types fast. Solid construction. Thick braided cord is great quality.

It survived spilled tea (1/3 cup) and when I picked it up the tea came pouring out there was so much.. Thankfully I didn't have sugar or cream, just straight tea. Let it sit for a few days to dry out and then it 'just worked' again with no problems whatsoever.

The corsair vengeance software hasn't bothered me at all. Seems to use very low resources and doesn't nag popups. I don't use the software much at all.

I like the volume dial a lot. Was unable to get the media control keys to work with Winamp. They work with VLC.

From a construction and build quality perspective this is the best keyboard I've ever owned in 30 years of computing.

Cons: The MMO keys have proven useless to me, even though I've been playing some MMOs. They make the keyboard too wide. The LED backlight reflects too much off the aluminum frame. I would prefer the light only come out of the keys themselves. The media control keys are too out-of-the-way (recessed) for regular use. Braided cord doesn't bend/flex easily (minor issue). At first the num-caps-scroll lock lights were a little too bright for my taste so I covered them with sticky paper, but now I'm used to them. They're not very bright, though.

Other Thoughts: Many reviews complain that they keyboard isn't 100% mechanical but that hasn't bothered me. Their new revision is fully mechanical so get that if you want that (the K95, I think).

Any keys you use a lot, such as WASD will lose their finish and start to shine with wear but the letters will not wear off since they're obviously not painted on.

1 out of 5 eggsUsed to work until just NOW

Pros: Awesome keyboard when it was working....

Cons: All of the sudden, it just died on me, luckily NOT while in game, but just randomly typing an email...was working just fine while chatting a few seconds before that....restarted PC, reinstalled drivers, nothing, it doesn't even show up anywhere and won't register as being ON, it DOES weirdly flash it's blue LEDs while hitting random buttons on it... but no INPUT/OUTPUT to screen. Using a logitech for substitution in the meantime.

4 out of 5 eggsStyle and Performance

Pros: Cherry MX Red mechanical keys are a vast improvement from the typical rubber dome type keyboards that I've used all my life. Typing speed and accuracy have gone through the roof. Pre-mech keyboard speed approx. 80WPM, now I'm at about 100WPM. Fatigue is also lessened due to the keys needing less force to activate etc.

Awesome, bright blue blacklighting on the silver aluminum backplate of the keyboard was a great choice by Corsair. The reflective silver metal really brings out the backlighting even more than just behind the keys.

Media keys on the upper right hand side are very useful. Along with the macro keys, depending on how much of their functionality you need from them. I just use mines to quick launch programs like calculator, run..., etc.

Cons: At the time of purchase, this was one of the two mechanical keyboards Corsair offered. And both of them used mechanical keys on the main typing section, arrow keys, and numpad.

The entire F-Key row, Page Up/Page Down section, and G-Keys were still using membrane switches. Which wasn't a complete deal breaker for me, but after a long time with the board, I often imagine what it would be like to have a complete fully mechanical K90. Which Corsair have remedied be doing an update to the their mechanical keyboard line over a year after the original release of the K90 and K60.

Key cap puller accessory would've been a nice addition.

Other Thoughts: Amazing keyboard, with added function and style. My kind of thinking, as I care about styling and design a whole lot.

Could have been a perfect score, but at the time of purchase (more than a year before Corsair launched their FULL mechanical keyboards) these were the best looking keyboards in my opinion, with the important keys being mechanical.
