Question 1

One reviewer says that the keyboard takes up two USB ports. Is this correct?

Accepted Answer

Yes - and no. The keyboard has a usb port on top of the unit (for quick plugging in flash drives or other usb devices). In order to use this function you would need to plug in the second usb plug. It works without plugging in the second usb port for just using the keyboard though.

Hopefully that makes  sense.

Question 2

The product is listed as having Cherry MX Blue switches, but the text reads that it does not have an audible click, is that the case?

I'm not entirely sure why it says there isn't an audible click. I'm using the K70 w/ blues to type this and there is most definitely an audible (satisfying) click.

Question 3

Are the colors of the LEDS specific to each keyboard or can I change the color of the LEDS regardless of which K70 keyboard I buy? I bought the k70 with cherry mx blue switches and would really like to have the blue LEDs. Any help is appreciated.

The mx cherry keys don't determine the colour. The k70 has 2 different models a black one and a grey one.. all the black k70s have only red LEDs. While the Grey one only has blue LEDs.  So basicly if you buy the black k70 with cherry mx blue keys the back light will be red. This is the keyboard I own and I love it.

Question 4

What layout is this keyboard? And it is possible to put o-rings on these keycaps?

Not sure what you mean by layout, it's pretty standard with full num pad and all that. But yes you can put O rings on the keys, I put them on all my keys and it helps a lot with noise

The title mentions '6 Function Keys'. Could anyone enlighten me as to what this means?

As for the k70, it doesn't have functions keys like other keyboards as this model keeps it simple. They are referring to the 1 thought 6 numbers that can be swapped out to red keys for a better sense of location and feel. Also 6 function MULTIMEDIA keys that are STOP, PREVIOUS,PLAY/PAUSE/, NEXT, MUTE, AND VOLUME UP/ DOWN .. which are located on the top right of the keyboard.

Question 6

How does the RED LED lighting hold up? (On reviews for the MX Brown with BLUD LED lighting, there have been multiple complaints about the LEDs failing after just a few short months! I'd prefer the BLUE, however, looking for longevity also.)

The red LEDs hold up just fine. The LEDs burning out were a manufacturing error on older models, and has been remedied since 6+ months ago on newer Cherry MX Red / Blue switch K70 models, like this one.
