Backlight bleeding issues.
- Pros: Huge screen for the money. It's amazing to play games on a 22" widescreen. After tweaking the color looked really good. I upgraded from an old 17" lcd and wow it is huge. No dead pixels.
- Cons: The one problem I have with this monitor is that it suffers from horrible backlight bleed through. When looking at a dark/black screen you can see a half inch bright band across almost the entire top and bottom of the screen. You can't detect it when viewing bright images, browsing the web but when playing games like FEAR it is really obvious and distracting.
- Other Thoughts: This issue has been brought up on a few different forums and review sites. While it does not affect every LCD, enough people do have this problem that I don't know if it is worth trying to get it replaced. If not for the bright spots this would truly be an amazing monitor.
nice monitor for the money
- Pros: Huge, bright, stylish, cheap price, height adjustment, quick response time for gaming.
- Cons: Backlight bleeding is an issue in dark scenes. Very noticable when watching movies.
- Other Thoughts: This is a nice upgrade from my 19 inch crt. Very crisp and bright. Games never looked better. Backlight bleeding makes this only four stars and while not a deal buster it is not perfect. For the price the monitor can not be beat. As usual newegg deliverd the product within two days, excelent service again.

Very nice monitor
- Pros: Beautiful display, COMES WITH DVI CABLE!! Great monitor for the money, backlight bleed isn't as noticable to me as some others, quick response time, height adjustment.
- Cons: None
2nd monitor
- Pros: Gorgeous color, snappy response time, highly adjustable stand. I like the look of this monitor much more than the 226bw. It's much more understated and the thin bezel makes it great for dual monitor setups.
- Cons: NONE!
- Other Thoughts: I've had one of these for the last 6 months and I've just added a second to my setup. It's of the same great quality as the first. The backlight bleed is a little worse on this one but still very minimal. I play Crysis and Bioshock on these and they perform great.
Great LCDs for the money
- Pros: These are great screens, I am looking at 2 of them on my desk and they do a great job for gaming and for web design.
- Cons: There is some backlight bleeding as others have mentioned, however, the only time I notice this is when I'm looking at a pure black screen. I've had them for a year and I guess I don't spend much time looking at black screens because I'm not really bothered by this issue.
