5 out of 5 eggsSimply the Best

Pros: Simply the finest monitor I have owned. This monitor is huge it is crisp, the colors bright and sharp. Nothing more to say, Simply the best.

Cons: Quality, None. Price, pretty spendy.

Other Thoughts: If you have the space on your desk, and in your wallet go for it!!

2 out of 5 eggsIf you are going to spend this much...

Pros: It is big. Nice & bright at 1900 X 1200 resolution. Decent performance for just a shade over $1000.

Cons: Not as nice as the 30" version. For ~27% more in price ($1299), you can get ~87% more pixel resolution (2560X1600). If you are going to spend this much on the 275T, you might as well go all the way. Of course, you'll also need a new video card with dual-link DVI, but that's another matter...

5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant

Pros: Color is very close to accurate out of the box. Calibration is easy and effective. For .31 dot pitch the screen-door effect is almost non-existent. Consistent backlighting. Lots of inputs. No discernible lag. Bright enough for any environment. Solid blacks and neutral grays. Feels well-built. Amazingly consistent color and brightness off-axis

Cons: .31 dot pitch may feel too "large" for some people used to tiny laptop pixels. Costs almost as much as the 30" displays. Interpolation/scaling isn't filtered, so anything less than 1920x1200 looks as fuzzy as you'd expect up close.

Other Thoughts: If this monitor came with a CF/SD card reader and had one of the new advanced scaling chips, it would get 6 stars. The purity of the color and the pureness of it is hard for me to describe. I've been using a Pro-series NEC 20" LCD for the last 2 years, and I can't even tell you how much of an improvement this is. I like being able to use a regular, non dual-DVI graphics card. The pixel pitch seems just about "right" to me. Not too big or too small.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it - and that's saying something

Pros: Attention-seizing size, exceptional color fidelity and brightness, nice response times (quite comfortable for a heavy FPS gamer), deep blacks, easy controls, USB hub, analog inputs, good detailed documentation

Cons: Lack of HDMI, no included speakers

Other Thoughts: Let's leave aside the size for a minute. Of course, 27" is quite big and from a desktop, will fill your field of view, for an immersive game/movie experience.

I turned my older 19" Hyundai on its side and ran it alongside the 275T (in portrait a 19" almost matches up, both in height and resolution - 1280 vs. 1200). I can see why the press has made so much of this panel. My Hyundai is no slouch, but the 275's colors are so obviously brighter and richer that it's jarring to look at an image across the two monitors. After pulling up some high-res images (hubble, professional photography, high-res shots of my own), I was basically speechless. I simply had no idea what I'd been missing.

Firing up some Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 was a bit of a revelation as well. Unlike some others, Valve's recent games adjust easily to the 16:10 aspect ratio and (given appropriate GPU horsepower) are stunning at this size and resolution. It's as if I'd never seen the map before.

5 out of 5 eggsSpectacular

Pros: I hesitated for some time before purchasing this monitor because of the price; now I wish I hadn't waited so long. The vabrancy and depth of color beat my old 21 inch Gateway all to pieces, and the size difference is spectacular. As a gamer I've measured HalfLife 2, Lost Coast at 101 fps, and there is no ghosting. Crysis running on Vista is also excellent. No dead or stuck pixels to be found!

Cons: As noted elsewhere, the monitor tilts slightly from left to right. I don't know what that's all about unless the quality control person at Samsung has a kink in his neck or something. Anyway, the slope is only about 3/8 of an inch, so it's not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I would advise not to rush into purchasing a 27' monitor and getting a cheaper one. Hoard your cash until you can get this one. I really don't think you'll be sorry.

5 out of 5 eggsGorgeous Screen

Pros: This monitor is absolutely huge!! I upgraded from a 17" Dell and this monitor dwarfs the other one. Max res is only 1900*2000, but i will live. When i get my 2 watercooled 8800 GTX's i will be set :-)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Oh yeah I also got the QX9650 for this build too. Sorry suckers LOL

5 out of 5 eggsSweet!!

Pros: I recieved it from newegg just over a week ago and WOW!
awsome color, graphics, and text. I bought it to be a computer monitor not a tv and it does that very well. it is a great size with out being overkill. It can run on a single DVI vid card if needed unlike the 30 inch ones. but works great with my new 8800 ultra as well. no dead pix black is black and no ghosting or any other issues gaming at full 1920x1200

Cons: as another reviewer stated the monitor does tilt. mine is lower on the right side by 1/4-3/8 inch????

Other Thoughts: other than the tilting this thing is great. mine is siting on a very large desk in a good size room and is still seems plenty big. last thought, 1920x1200 is just right for a monitor this size. if it had a higher res i think pics might look good but text etc would be very very small.

5 out of 5 eggsLook no further...

Pros: This is far and away the absolutely most gorgeous LCD monitor I have ever used; and I've had several. It replaces a 24" Dell which I thought could not be beat. The 27" Dell, which is essentialy this Samsung, may have more bling with the aluminum frame and the flash card slots (I have more flash card slots than I'll ever use as it is) costs more and they charge you sales tax. I looked at the 30" version of this monitor and I would have purchased it except it has so much real estate that you'll end up with a sore neck from scanning one end of the monitor to the other as you use it. For me, this is the perfect size and you will not regret the cost which is actually a bargain once you start using it. Make sure your GPU capabilities are available to bring out the very best from this awesome monitor. I run it from an Alienware notebook with nVidia 7950's in SLI and 1 meg of RAM (512 X 2).

Cons: Don't bother looking, you won't find any.

Other Thoughts: If this monitor supported resolutions up to 2560x1600, it would really make everything else appear obsolete. Samsung has really hit a homer, and Newegg's service can't be beat. Even if you find one somewhere else for a few bucks less, it is not worth taking the chance. Also, as another individual observed elsewhere, use FedEx rather than UPS. With FedEx's economy service I receive the packages by Noon at the latest; when I use UPS' similar service, I am fortunate to see the package by 6:00 pm...

5 out of 5 eggsSpectacular!!!

Pros: No dead pixels! Great colors. Great brightness. Blacks are black (once gamma is calibrated properly). Tons of real estate. Works perfectly with my old PowerMac G4. Adjustable stand, up and down for ergonomics and rotate left and right. Best monitor I have ever owned!

Fast delivery from Newegg as always!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: To people who say this monitor is no good for movies, you NEED to calibrate your OS. In Mac OS X you choose DISPLAYS / CALIBRATE and just follow the simple instructions. All movies I have watched look great. Predator included!!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Huge monitor, provides all the screen space you'll ever need for multitasking or for games with complicated UIs (EVE Online finally feels uncluttered). Not a single dead or stuck pixel.

Cons: Produces a bit more heat than my old 930b - but with a screen this big and bright that's to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Power button on bottom right of panel glows blue - I would have preferred green to match most of my other gear but not a big deal at all (it ended up matching my new speakers).
