Cons: Can't get it to go into power saving mode from an HDMI source.

Other Thoughts: To get full resolution in HDMI mode, cycle through the P.SIZE adjustments. One of them provides full/direct resolution pass through for HD.

Pros: Ton of ports (HDMI, DVI...) and Cable turner so the monitor ca be used to watch TV.

Cons: Nothing to speak of, but it would be nice if the bezel around the screen was thinner, since I have two next to each other.

Pros: I've had it for about a month now, and I am completely satisfied. Arrived quickly as is the norm for NewEgg, no dead pixels, looks fantastic. TV tuner works as advertised. I don't think it can be beat for the price.

Cons: Speakers aren't great, but how many of us don't already have external speakers? TV input isn't quite as crisp as I would like, but it's acceptable.
What's up with the upside down remote? When using it in the dark, I am constantly pressing the wrong buttons. Design fail...

No PIP, did I downgrade from my Philips 17PF9945/37 that I had for years, never had one complaint, and still works great.

Other Thoughts: Flashing with red lines on the right side or all blacked out at 1920x1080 at its native resolution via PC DVI?
A workaround is to boot up in safe mode and disable the display adaptor; this will lower the resolution when you reboot and allow you to set a lower resolution. Then you can enable the display adaptor and reboot. Took me a few days to figure this one out with no help from Samsung. They kept telling me to contact my video card’s manufacture.

Pros: Picture is outstanding. Does exactly what i need it to do. Gets loud enough for my small room.

Cons: None really noteworthy.

Other Thoughts: Depending on your set up, it doesn't tilt down. It can tilt up but not down, somewhat annoying but manageable.

Pros: Coming from a 19" flat panel, this thing is huge. No dead pixels and easy to set up. HD looks unreal with very vivid color, but what do you expect, it's a Samsung!

Cons: The HDMI cable did not come in the box. Maybe mine was an open box, but I'm not that upset to knock an egg off. They are cheap nowadays, but I still going to try to have Newegg send me a replacement. Will let you know. Also, the shiny parts are a dust magnet. I came with a small cloth, but it doesn't work that well...

Other Thoughts: Regardless the cons, it's a great purchase. Newegg does it again for us!

Pros: big screen

Cons: Max resolution is not possible using HDMI + PC using HDMI cable, I have noriced I can use max 1600x1050 so the only problem I have with this monitor (and it is not just this specific model monitor) is that connecting this using the HDMI to a PC would result in blurry screen. If you search online, there are numerous reports that Samsung monitors have this problem. However, this problem only appies to HDMI, DVI works perfectly.

I have to check DVI if can get max resolution. Becasue of that HDMI resolution I am giving only 1 egg

Pros: Perfect size for my corner-desk that has a hutch; enough inputs for office use without overkill; outstanding picture; no dead pixels

Cons: No swivel; no height adjustment.

Other Thoughts: I have been researching LCD monitors off-and-on over the last 2 years. Finally settled on the Samsung based on customer ratings and glad I made that choice! The picture is gorgeous right out of the box, and once calibrated with a colorimeter it is truly world-class.

HD video is fantastic but SD is, as you'd expect, not good at all. If you are primarily interested is watching SD video this is not the monitor for you. If your primary use is for computer displays or gaming, or HD content, this unit will not disappoint you.

For those interested, the actual space it takes up on my desk is 22"W x 16"H x 9.5D"D with the base attached. Oh, and if you connect it to a Duall DVI-D source (highly recommended) you get an even brighter picture with even richer blacks. It does NOT come with DVI-D or VGA cables, only an HDMI cable. I got my DVI-D cable from NewEgg as well.

Good Standard Definition picture if you stand further away from the screen.
Sturdy, even when tilted with an object.
No annoying light (it has a light but you have options to change it)

Cons: Although I knew about this before I brought the monitor, it'd be really nice if it had a tilt up/down feature. All CRT monitors I've had allow you to tilt/swivel it as much as you like--and they usually never need you to do it! Figures with LCD--a super-sensitive needing adjustment monitor would be absent of that. OH, but it does let you tilt it upwards a bit so that you can increase the difficulty in seeing it from floor level. Nice!

I have to tilt the screen downwards by placing a box of checks in the back. (-1 egg)

Also, I knew there were no RCA composite connectors, but they would have been a very nice addition. I can live without DVI and such but that ol' composite is something to be missed.

Other Thoughts: I find nothing wrong with the speakers. I usually keep them around 2/5ths to half of it's capacity. Prolly because I'm in a small room or something.

Might look into wall mounts if they allow me to move the monitor more freely

Despite what Newegg says, the HDTV is not just ATSC! Well at least, the monitor that I received which was a Samsung 2333HD (the one i am reviewing now) isn't. It has both ATSC and QAM tuners so you can plug it into your digital cable.
I've got my X360 plugged into this bad boy and it looks awesome! Not to mention the HD channels look great!

Cons: *speakers kind of suck but i use external ones anyway
