Pros: Excellent monitor. Mine came with zero bad pixels. Nice TV set built in.

Cons: The metal clip inside top of the base that holds the monitor on is flimsy. NewEgg couldn't fix problem because I had had the product for over 30 days. No problem there. That's understandable. However, the manufacturer (SamSung) was unable to help me. I asked for them to send me just the small, metal clip that broke off (couldn't have cost them more than a dollar to make), but they wouldn't do it. They then promised me to send me an entire base free of charge, but later wouldn't do it. I don't need the entire base (made of plastic). I just need a new small metal clip that is held on by just one small black screw. They wanted me to buy an entire base.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is absolved from criticism here. I will continue to buy from Newegg. They are an outstanding outfit. However, I am going to suggest to my friends, family and customers that we pay a little more and buy ViewSonic, ACER or ASUS monitors next time instead of Samsung due to their unwillingness to help me with even the smallest metal part, even though I spent 45 minutes on the phone and about 20 minutes at least on tech support chat.

Pros: the picture is sharp. it has an hdtv tuner and 2 hdmi ports.

Cons: the stand is not height adjustable and only gets the monitor 3 1/4" off the desktop, making the monitor's center only about 10" high. (my eye level while sitting at a desk is 19")
the viewing angle is not very forgiving compared to my older, way older, monitors. if i don't have it perched on a box, the picture is funny and my neck and eyes become sad.
the WHITES are very BLUE and black isn't black without switching viewing modes.
it says it is a computer monitor but it will NOT sleep! i do not use a screen saver, the pc just turns off the (dell) displays but the samsung stays on telling me that is has no signal and i should check the cables! i have to physically turn it off .
NO buttons. it has those induction touch spots on the frame that you can't see or feel in the dark. i end up using the remote for something sitting less than 2 feet from me. are micro-switches that expensive?
samsung support is all about callbacks. they dont have full techs on the support line.

Other Thoughts: i bought this to replace one of my 2 Dell FP2001 1600x1200 panels from 2005. i can read text on the dell from just about everywhere but behind it. the samsung i have to square up in front and not move around a lot, and when its lowriding on my desk it makes me want to go back to my dell. i really do not like the new induction touch style buttons and can't understand how people use monitors that sit so low on the desk.

--Even comes with tv tuner

Pros: Great picture with a clean finish. Easy to use menu. Plenty of inputs on back. Using this monitor as a TV/Monitor. Have HD DVR hooked up to it and my computer as a third screen.

Cons: Not a big deal but the vesa mounts are high on the back of the screen. If using a dual monitor stand. You can't line up the monitor with most other brands. Most monitors mount in the back middle. Since I'm using three monitors I mounted it on it's own stand and lined it up with my other two.

Other Thoughts: If you looking for something to hook HD cable to or other video sorce but also use it as a computer monitor. This is a must buy.
