5 out of 5 eggsLCD Gaming Monster!

Pros: Excellent real estate in the viewing department. Games look great and the adjustable stand is easy to use. Make sure your video card is up to the challenge. I got this at 379.00 on sale, so it was a steal. Good for gaming, movies, internet or any CAD work. Clear picture and stand turns very easy.

Cons: Nothing!

Other Thoughts: Do not hesitate. If you want a HUGE display for gaming and everything else, this is it.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: Bright, flat, huge. It's almost TOO big.

Cons: Not all Video cards can handle this monster. Make sure you've got a good system with a good card. Also, the included app (Forte) is a bit hokey and annoying

4 out of 5 eggsStunning picture quality and size

Pros: Beautiful picture quality, and no dead pixels. The blue sensor for turning the monitor on is a great feature and looks fantastic without being annoying. The hidden USB ports are a nice addition. The USB ports are not powered however, so you'll need the included USB power cable. Installation took just a few seconds. I have neck problems and needed the height adjustment. This feature alone puts it ahead of the ASUS models which sit flat. The buttons are actually touch sensitive areas on the bezel. Very practical, as mechanical buttons tend to wear out or break over time.

Cons: The glossy black bezel and base attracts dust like a Swifter, but it does come with a microfibre cloth for cleaning. The included cable is a D-Sub made out to look like a DVI, so that will end up in your "bag of functional, but obsolete parts" that we all seem to accumulate. Get the Link Depot DVI-DVI here on Newegg when you order. I would have preferred nicer packaging instead of the plain brown box. HDMI and/or DisplayPort connection option would have been nice. Minor nits for a knockout monitor!

Other Thoughts: The included software is fine, though rather lackluster. However, you'll just want to stick this in 1920x1200 and forget about it. I had to turn down the default brightness to 50%.

5 out of 5 eggsreally like it

Pros: Lots of real estate to all sorts... development, spreadsheets, vnc windows, gaming, movies. really enjoying it.

Cons: red text doesn't seem quite as nice or like it does on my samsung 226bw. really minor issue.

Other Thoughts: it was a tossup between this and the samsung 30" that I really wanted... who wouldn't.. but for less than half the price and almost as much space to work with. super happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsTruly a bargain... if you wait for it

Pros: *No dead pixels (WHEW! - for many of you, this will be the scariest part of buying a LCD from Newegg). Seems like 0 dead pixels is the "average" for this monitor

*Large. Very Large. I went from a 17" cheapo Dell LCD to this. Make sure that you have a video card that can support 1920*1200 resolutions if you plan to do gaming

*Easy pivots, high adjustments and tilts. If you feel like the monitor doesn't pivot or tilt enough, just move the dang thing.

*Menu is easy enough. Takes you 10-15 seconds of "HMMM" to figure it out.

Cons: It's TN. But it's also under 400 bucks if you're lucky or patient. If you're in the market for mega color accuracy (photo editing, etc.), you should be spending much more anyway.

Other Thoughts: It looks like Newegg fluctuates the price of this model often. I saw it late 2008 at around 350 and then it went back up to 400 (with 30 dollar promotion). It looks like it's back at 480, but I think if you wait for it, you will see it go down again.

5 out of 5 eggsLG W2600H-PF

Pros: This is a huge monitor that takes a little bit of getting used to. The picture quality is great, and once it's calibrated using a calibration puck, it's even better. There are also 4 USB ports on the monitor, 2 in the back and 2 on the left side. All of the buttons are touch sensitive (not your typical buttons that you push in). The touch sensitive bar for the power button is especially long, measuring over 2.5 inches in length.

Cons: It's only a great deal when on sale. Usually the price is a bit high.

Other Thoughts: Looking at other reviews I just wanted to point something out, the monitor in fact does have a tone when it is turned on. This can be turned off in the menu. Also, the Power LED, if a person thinks it's too bright, can be turned off in the menu. I hate seeing eggs being taken away for something a user should have stumbled across in the menu or the user manual.

5 out of 5 eggsTN / S-IPS Answer

Pros: This is a TN panel....the S-IPS has a different model number, costs more, and from what I've read...is not available in the US. Everywhere I've looked for one seems to be overseas or discontinued.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Try searching for model # LG W2600HP-BF

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Amazing value! Was on special for a great deal!
Huge, upgraded from a 19inch LCD square monitor
Brilliant colors when properly adjusted
Good contrast for price to size ratio
Not one dead pixel
Pretty. Looks great with no webcam/integrated speakers, or other junk you don't need
Height adjustment and tilt are easy to use, I will never buy another monitor without these adjustments.
I love the touch sensitive controls, they make for a sleek look and you only really set them a hand full of times. Easy to use

Cons: Did not come with HDMI cable, had to purchase one separately.

Other Thoughts: The monitor is capable of 1920x1200 at 60hz and capable of 75hz at lower resolution settings. I would like to see 75hz at 1920x1200. I get some image tearing during some fast paced games but I probably just need to upgrade from XP and my Nvidia 7950GT. Not bad, but noticeable at times.

I didn't realize that you had to be a member of NewEgg's news letter to receive the discount they offered. After checking out and paying NewEgg's customer service was nice enough to cancel my order and let me sign up then re-purchase. I love this place!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Very good buy for the price (under 400). Vivid colors, fast response time, good enough for high end gaming and videos. True HD resolution (1920 x 1080) is perfect for Blu-ray/HD-DVD, looks excellent. Touch sensor buttons are really cool. Stand comes with height and tilt adjustments so need to buy aftermarket. Easy to tune and adjust settings, took me only a few minutes to get used to navigation. The SIZE, great for people that play games and/or watch movies from their computers. I bought an LG Blu-ray rom and they are a nice complement to each other.

Cons: Compared to another brand monitor, the color is not as vivid but stand alone you wont be able to tell the difference. Power button beeps an annoying tune when powering on/off, but that would be my opinion as someone else might like it :) Pretty heavy, but what do you expect from a 24+ inch monitor? Thats about it really. Trying to think of more but it's pretty hard. Uhm, the blue LED of the power light is really bright (pro/con again depending on person's preference) but there is an option to turn if off. Ok, that's all I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mainly because of the price but also because LG's reputation. Their products have always been really well built and is the same here. This is an excellent buy for the money. Even after the sale, I think its worth 500. Overall, this was an amazing item and I am glad I took advantage of the sale price.

5 out of 5 eggsIPS or TN

Pros: I have to know is this panel is a TN panel or a S-IPS.
Trying to find this info in difficult. If you do know what panel is being used please prove it somehow.

Cons: Can't tell if it is a TN or S-IPS panel

Other Thoughts: It should be clearly marked.
