2 out of 5 eggsHorrible controls!

Pros: Mobility of the screen is first-rate. The stand is the best that I have used.

Cons: The controls, still a problem after 10 years, are mostly incognito. You need a lit magnifying glass to find them. The functions are dark brown against a black background. Also, not enough CD brightness.

Other Thoughts: A note to Samsung ten years ago meant zero because, there are several complaints about a bad control system for this monitor today-ten years later. I have not purchased a Samsung product since besides, the 37" Panasonic-120 Hz- LED that I now use is as good as anything Samsung has ever produced. Not only is it much easier to control, it cost less-$699 on-sale.

2 out of 5 eggsWas first

Pros: 120hz and no discernible input lag.

Cons: After having this monitor for about 7 months, the left half of it randomly turns to a blue hue that is only fixed if I turn it off for an extended period of time. After which, it will come back, there is just never any telling how long it will take to come back. I have isolated it down to the monitor, eliminating both the cable and source device.

Other Thoughts: I have 2 of these and as of now, only one of them has this issue.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good monitor for the price

Pros: 120hz, 3d rdy, Price

Cons: Monitor colors were horrible, took me 15 minutes to adjust color / brightness to get it to even look right had to use 3rd party program for that, the touch buttons don't work half the time -1 egg.

Other Thoughts: This is a really cool monitor except for the issues i have mentioned above i would recommend this to a friend for a cheap 3d monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsFANTASTIC!

Pros: sharp picture, unseen response time, super bright.

Cons: as others have said, the buttons stink. i like the flashy light thing, but the bezel touch buttons should be lit up.

Other Thoughts: avoid 3D, its not done yet, the monitor is worth the extra coin, but not the nvidia kit.

3 out of 5 eggsGood monitor, just not at MSRP

Pros: - There is a visual difference in smoothness with 60hz vs 120hz.
- Low to no input lag once thru-put option is selected.
- Smooth experience when playing video games. Not very noticeable difference when watching movies unless you have a lot of things going on.

Cons: - Level of blacks are not as deep as XL2410T
- Over drive makes text very hard to read. Set Sharpness to 3 or less to read comfortably at 1080 resolution.
- Still expensive for the benefits over a standard 2ms gtg lcd monitor.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased this monitor and compared it with a friend's BenQ XL2410T. Overall, if you could get this monitor at a much lower price difference with the BenQ, then grab it. These 120hz monitors are still very expensive and the visual quality is about low-mid range compared to other TN models.

Three warnings I should advised before purchasing the monitor:

1) It looks very disappointing out of the box until you calibrate it.

2) Average user/gamer not notice much input lag or refresh rate on monitors until AFTER you own it. Once you buy it, you could never go back to 60hz for your games and movies.

3) If you're use to high quality LCD monitor or IPS monitors, the level of sharpness would really make this LG 120hz monitor difficult to use comfortably for text/internet use.

5 out of 5 eggs120 Hz (Wow)

Pros: 1. Clarity
2. Smoothness of Game Play
3. No Lag
4. Really made difference from 60 Hz to 120 Hz

Cons: 1. Colors out of the Box are not good but after a little tweaking turned out beautiful.

Other Thoughts: I play nothing but first person shooter games L4D2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Call Of Duty. Etc and the difference between my 1 year old Acer 23 (60 Hz) which by the way is a good monitor and this 120 Hz Beast was dramatic. A must Buy in my opinion simply for the 2D aspect of the monitor 3D is just gravy...

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Purchased as a gift for my gaming bro and he's pleased with the overall performance.

3d worked out of the box.

Cons: Poor button design, capacitive touch buttons should not be used in conjunction with important OSD's. Might work for simple toggling but trying to navigate menus is difficult without a headlamp.

There is a noticeable loss of volume when using the headphone jack.

Other Thoughts: This was my first foray into 3d and I think this is a good entry point. I only played a few minutes of BC2 and while an impressive milestone in gameplay, I don't think I could personally play in 3d all the time. But I do think stereoscopic is well suited for other genres and some of the previews bundled with the nvidia were really impressive.

I was able to run some benchmarking with a new gtx570 and 3d. My back-of-the-napkin estimate is that enabling 3d increases gpu and cpu demand by about 15%.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: +Fast Response, I don't see any ghosting.
+Pretty good quality of what you'd expect from a TN Panel.
+Vsync @ 120 HZ, wow big difference specially in fast paced games like FPS, I just played Bioshock 2 and Serious Sam HD, very easy to tell the difference in input lag vs HDTV.

Cons: -1 Egg for Backlight bleeding very noticible in dark scenes on top and bottom of monitor.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tested out the 3D functions yet, so can't comment on that.
Coming from a 32" LED TV that I used as a monitor, the quality of the picture is not as good but it's still an awesome monitor if you require fast pace gaming. I wouldn't want to go back to the HD TV ever again though, specially for gaming, can't beat the LCD monitor with fast response and low input lag is where it's at.

Oh tip: my monitor defaulted to 60HZ 1080 HD setting settings under the NVidia control panel, make sure you set it to "PC Mode" 1080 to get the true 120HZ.

5 out of 5 eggsBest in class

Pros: Crisp, Bright, Fast. There are enough pros that its easier to list all the cons.

The 3D is really amazing, better than I though it would be. It actually made Need for Speed easier to play. And it turned WoW into a whole new game...although in PvP it was more difficult to click on someone who is far away.

Cons: Backlight bleeding at the top and bottom a little...not really acceptable for a $400 monitor since my last monitor had no backlight bleeding and was only $250.

Power and OSD buttons are touch sensitive and they are IMPOSSIBLE to see. Even with the light on they are hard to see. I have had to memorize where the power button is in relation to the edge of the monitor.

Other Thoughts: If you are not going to use the 3D aspect of this monitor I would recommend spending your $400 on an IPS panel monitor that will give you much better colors and deeper blacks (Like the Dell U2311H or U2410) instead of getting the 120Hz.

Its a TN panel so there's only so far you can go but setting the colors to these settings will get the best picture possible imo:

Brightness: 30
Contrast: 55
Gamma: 0
RGB: Custom
• R: 50
• G: 44
• B: 38

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Intense

Pros: -The clearity of colors
-The Build Quality
-The amount of inputs that it has
-3d Ready
-No dead pixles

Cons: -Had backlight bleeding from the top and bottom of the screen
-The touch buttons on the front are IMPOSSIBLE to use in a dark room.

Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor just for 3d gaming, and let me tell you this, it does is with no problem. I have had nothing but great times so far. I would advise others to purchase this monitor without thinking twice. Metro 2033 looks amazing and Black Ops was a blast.

Very Important!!!: Make sure you have a nice rig to do 3d on some of the new games, what ever fps you were getting you can shave off 30-40% when using 3d.

Like stated in the cons, the menu buttons located in the front of the panel, or pretty much impossible to see/use them in a dark room. You will have to tweak with the color settings as well, wasnt setup correctly when first powered on. As far as other people saying the other 120Hz monitors taking a long time to boot up..... this one boots up quick.... 4 sec max and your good to go.
