3 out of 5 eggsNot satisfied

Pros: It's 27"

Cons: Screen resolution is awful. I do a lot of photo editing and the resolution is unacceptable for a 27" monitor. 1920x1080 is all this monitor will do. Not very happy with the panel, colors vary greatly through out viewing angles.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor, Miss the B273HU

Pros: Great monitor. Good value for a 27 inch display.

Cons: Built in speakers are rather poor, but that's true of almost all built in speakers. Not a B273HU.

Other Thoughts: Have a B273HU (the 2048x1152 model) and wanted another one. It seems Acer doesn't make it any more, and you can't find it anywhere, so I got this model instead. Looks almost identical. Almost. The picture quality is actually better, but I prefer the higher resolution of the B273HU.

5 out of 5 eggsACER B273Hbmidhz 27"

Pros: REAL ESTATE; it's HUGE! Adjustable tilt, swivel, and height. Dual DVI, and HDMI, so now I can play PS3 (HDMI w/ sound!), and work on photos. Color is just amazing; better than any other monitor I have used. I have yet to use an IPS panel, but for the price, this is the next best thing. USB inputs are a plus. Contrast levels are the best I have seen on a TFT panel, and whites are white.

Cons: OK, nitpicking here, but the OSD is not user friendly. Plus you have to access it to change between inputs (lots of button presses). I would rather have one button dedicated to that than USB ports. Speakers are of average to low quality. While this monitor does have a dual DVI input, the resolution does not go above 1920 x 1080. Initial startup produces popping from the frame, and shut down experiences the same. It's the lamp, no big deal, but I thought I would mention that. Large pixel size produces noticeable jaggies, but when gaming you cannot tell. Only certain text has an issue.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am extremely happy with this monitor. Photo editing has been taken to another level. I was leaning toward the Planar 27", but lack of height adjustment was a deal breaker. This monitor has it all, and if you can deal with the above cons, you will be just as satisfied. My only REAL disappointment was the resolution. I was hoping for more, but as mentioned by previous reviewers, Acer stopped producing those. I can honestly say that after purchasing this monster, I have stopped "window shopping".

5 out of 5 eggsNice monitor

Pros: I like this monitor. I went from a 22" LG @ 1680x1050. I was afraid that the pixel density would be a problem. I don't sit that far away from it and its not that bad, but you can still tell that there is less pixel density. I wanted a bigger monitor and a higher resolution so it works for me. Plus these monitor is great for gaming which is one of the main reasons I wanted it. And also because of how adjustable the stand is. Picture quality is also good.

Cons: A couple issues. Obviously the pixel density isn't the best, and there is some back light bleeding at the bottom of the display, but after having it on for some hours it seem to go away a little bit...I don't know how but it did.

Other Thoughts: If you want a bigger monitor with a 1080p resolution thats good for gaming and you want a very adjustable stand, this is a wise choice

4 out of 5 eggsNot as good as the first

Pros: Pretty much the same as my first review. Has a good stand for the price. As of today any other 27" monitor with a height adjustment, tilt, and swivel would run double the money. The picture is decent.

Cons: This one doesn't have as good of a clear picture. I can see the pixels within a solid color, and they look jaggedy. The closer you are to the screen the worse it gets. Maybe it has something to do with the anti-glare coating. Not sure what it is, my first monitor doesn't have this issue. You have to be about a good 2 to 3 feet away until you don't notice it. I have sharp eyes, so others might not ever notice these cons.

I'm not sure if I'll keep buying these, I'd probably try a different brand if they could match the price with these same specs.

Other Thoughts: This is a great height adjustable monitor for the price, it's just that sometimes monitors are not all the exact same, even though the same model. I guess you have to get lucky to find a flawless low-cost monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the Money

Pros: Good picture, clear, color seems accurate. Great price. The height adjustable stand goes pretty low, very nice. It has a nice non-glossy and small outer-edge, so it works well with dual monitors.

1920 x 1080

Cons: There's a blue bleed that goes up about a half-inch from the bottom of the screen when viewing pure black. I use this monitor specifically for Microsoft Windows, so there is always a menu bar on the bottom, no big deal. A 16:9 movie watcher might find this annoying though.

The "contrast" bar barely does anything when you change it. You could run it at 0 or 100 and both would be acceptable, they could have made it go farther than they did. Brightness is about all they give you to change.

Other Thoughts: Now that I've seen it, I am going to buy another.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Great color, brightness and resolution. Nice and big, you need to have plenty of viewing distance and desk space.

Cons: Wish they still make the 2048x1152 version.

Other Thoughts: Bought the 2048x1152 version about 9 months ago. Decided I wanted to replace my Samsung 24" with another one as a second. Turned out that they don't make the old version anymore. So ended up getting a pair of the 1080 screens and gave the other one to my wife. They are really nice. I'm a photographer and hefty gamer. These suit both needs well.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome picture. Does everything it should with regards to its specifications. Perfect size for utilizing split screen in windows 7, a smaller 22'' monitor just isn't wide enough.

Cons: Bit bulky on the depth side but that is due to the built in speakers. Speakers are a bit quiet for built in speakers, but you are getting a monitor first and foremost.

4 out of 5 eggsDoesn't do 2048x1200. But does 2048x1152

Pros: Monitor does 2048x1152 over DVI. You only get 1920x1080 over HDMI. Adjustable height and swivel is a big plus.

Cons: Not really a con but this monitor makes a low whiney noise when I'm on websites with slide shows. Of course, the speakers aren't that great. I never use then though.
