5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Great monitor, it's served me well. Super thin and light. Great response time. For those that say the colors are washed out, set it to YCbCr instead of RGB and play with your color saturation. It looks amazing for movies and games now! Just ordered a second one!

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Gaming Monitor

Pros: Accurate colors, bright and clear whites, very fast refresh rate, no ghosting, thin and lightweight, has decent viewing angles for a TN panel. I play a lot of Counter-Strike: GO, and this monitor works really well for shooters. It keeps up with any sudden movements or turns I make, and doesn't streak or have ghosting. It's fantastic. I sit 2 to 2 and a half feet away from the monitor, and the 1080p resolution looks great from this distance. No excessive pixelation or graininess. Games and movies all look absolutely fantastic.

Cons: Blacks are very dark grey, but they don't quite get down to a true black (to be expected with a twisted nematic panel). Viewing angles aren't amazing, but again, you have to expect that from this panel. The monitor is a little spendy, depending on where you buy it (Newegg has the best price of anyone, by far).

Other Thoughts: I've compared this monitor next to a 27 inch IPS Acer monitor, and liked the response time and natural colors of this monitor. If you want more saturated colors and wider viewing angles, pick an IPS panel. Otherwise, a standard TN panel still looks fantastic and will work really well for gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Great piece of tech. Low consumption of energy so barely any heat. Very slim and light weight, takes little space for a monitor. Very nice picture, you definitely need a graphics card for additional options to maximize the potential of this monitor. Great for its budget.

Cons: The monitor's settings do not have a way to change color saturation. I had a graphics card so I used that instead to change it.

Once you place the monitor into the stand it seems to be permanent.

Was a bit confusing trying to turn the thing on since there is nothing written on the monitor or any instructions, but once you find out its ingenious, not much of a con but its right on the center bottom.

Menu was confusing to navigate at first.

Other Thoughts: Overall great monitor, it functions the way I like. Do not trust the other 2ms monitors because they are noted gray to gray which is basically useless. If the specs are correct, since it doesn't state GTG. its 2ms if not then its atleast 5ms. Also pixel pitch is a very important thing to look at. It has a very a pretty low pixel pitch which is very good, better than the other monitors I compared with.

5 out of 5 eggsVivid

Pros: Bright, good contrast, very clear, no dead pixels.

Cons: Might be better than my primary monitor.

The menu buttons are rather hidden and hard to identify without a chart. Didn't take an egg off though, as once it's configured, it isn't an issue.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a secondary monitor for multitasking purposes... but it might be better than my primary monitor (another Acer). Whites are nice and vivid, colors aren't washed out. I only wish it had a 2ms response time.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Thin
Lightweight
Screensize

Cons: None as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Purchased from a local retailer with credit I had available. I'm not sure where many of the complaints are coming from, but the picture quality has been great so far. Plenty of gaming, surfing the web, and accidently leaving it on over night more than a few times and I've yet to have any color issues or dead pixels. Just a great monitor. After an upgraded video card, I'm thinking of purchasing 2 more of these monitors.

2 out of 5 eggsWashed out to no repair

Pros: Thin
Energy saver
The colors are vivid, but see the cons-
Tilt hinge seems pretty solid.

Cons: Compared to my other IPS screen, colors are washed out and over saturated, I tested it at Lagom.nl and the last 3 blocks of every would bleed into one another. I tried calibrating it as much as I could but couldn't get it right.
furthermore the screen has an annoying bluish tint, I checked the OSD and sure enough, the colors were already set to "warm", setting it to "cool" made it even worse.
I'm not really sure what to do with it now..

2 out of 5 eggsBe Weary of this one

Pros: 23 Inches, very bright, excellent color when you get one that works. HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. The refresh time is very quick and had a very nice thin design.

Cons: Bad blue hue, HDMI is junk, randomly flash black.

I wanted a quad 23" setup and first got 4 of these manufacturer refurbished. I set it all up DVI and come to find out that 2 are extremely blue in color and hurts the eyes while the other was less blue and the 4th a nice white.

I returned the 3 and kept the one with nice white color and turned around and got 3 new ones. When they arrived I set them all up again and found that all three had an even bluer tint and 2 had a completely washed out area. I tried using different input modes only to find that the HDMI input makes the image look horrid and washed out like a white sheet is in front of the screen. Even on the one good one I had.

I figured maybe they would get more white after time but after a day the three began to randomly go black for about 3 seconds and then come back on and that was it for me.

After going through 7 different monitor only to have 1 that is in usable condition I decided to go with Samsung.

Other Thoughts: Acer is usually a pretty good company, but I guess there LED LCD monitors are still kinda in infant stages and dont always work as they should. I have some normal LCD monitors of theirs that work excellent. I would stay away until the technology improves.
