4 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: -Beautiful picture... excellent contrast and black levels. Better than normal LED-lit panels, not quite as good as IPS, but very close and much cheaper.
-Great viewing angles
-Aesthetically the best looking LCD monitor I've seen
-Numerous inputs very useful (2 HDMI, 1 DVI, 1 VGA)
-Remote control! Since is has both audio in and audio out, if you're only using 2 channels like me you can even route your speakers through it so you can control volume with the remote.
-4 port USB hub... not sure what to do with it however.
-Good build quality. Stand is very solid, everything feels sturdy and well made.

Cons: -Motion blur is very noticeable. I expected it going in since it's a VA panel, but since I don't play any fast paced games I thought it would be ok. But it has a significant impact on movies too. Dramatically reduces the picture quality in fast moving scenes.

Other Thoughts: Overall I think the motion blur in fast scenes/games is a worthwhile tradeoff for the better blacks and contrast in static images or slow moving scenes. So overall I'm happy with this monitor, but I had to take an egg for the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME MONITOR

Pros: GREAT MONITOR, I went through a few monitors and was not happy at all,I had even tried the SAMSUNG 950 had to return it three time due to bad bleeding in the right and left corners and loose bezels poor Quality SAD.

Finding the a 27" monitor that was not over priced and had some style was a ROYAL PAIN, I got $3500 in my build.

Then I tried BenQ and I could not of ever been HAPPIER.

The Quality and Performance that I am getting out of this monitor. I could not find one defect in this monitor.

Great looking!!!! Matches everything!!!! blends in very well.

BenQ out did themselves!!!! They sold me.

Cons: The only CON that I found is that NEWEGG used a third party vender that is 90 miles away from me and they sent me a open boxed or DEMO Monitor trying to pawn it off on me as new.

So I had to RMA: Back to NEWEGG? I got the new Monitor
but as I tracked the replacement it took a 500 mile cruise before I got it? (NEWEGG WHAT A JOKE).

Other Thoughts: NewEgg needs to stock this MONITOR themselves.

Other then that being my only problem, I am very very pleased with BenQ Great job on this monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor. Not for gaming.

Pros: - 27"
- VA Panel (it is actually AMVA) which delivers true 8-bit colors.
- Very good static contrast ratio (3000:1).
- Great aesthetics. Very clean and modern design.
- Great viewing angles (though not brilliant). Vertically the picture hardly changes, and horizontally there is only slight color shift.
- Very light AG coating, so essentially, half matte, half glossy screen. The screen does well at reducing glare and reflections, while still keeping most of the clarity and sharpness of glossy screens. A lot more monitors seriously need to adopt this.
- OSD controls.
- Screen can tilt, though not much, only about 5 degrees towards the user and 20 degrees away from the user (should be the other way around).
- VESA mount.
- Built-in speakers (if you really want to use them).
- 4-port USB hub.
- 1080p, which is ideal for movie viewing.

Cons: - Stand is not adjustable at all, so you're stuck with whatever height the monitor is at, which is quite high.
- Response time is much lower than the rated 8 ms, something closer to 25 ms. Very noticeable blur and color trailing when playing fast-paced games.
- Slightly noticeable blue color-shift on the bottom corners when viewing the monitor from close-up. The further you move back, the less pronounced it becomes. You can only really notice it on blacks/dark colors.
- Same color shift problem as above when viewing the monitor from an extreme angle horizontally. Not sure how much this would affect watching a dark movie with friends.
- No DisplayPort (though you don't really need it anyway).
- Not 1920x1200, so you may miss the extra vertical space, though I never cared.

Other Thoughts: The ghosting on this monitor was a real deal breaker for me, it was worse than any other montitor I have ever used. I only tried two games, Halo and Minecraft, before I was completely fed up with it. Minecraft is not even that fast-paced of a game, but I could still see very pronounced blurring and color trailing when moving the camera, so much so that I felt discomfort in my eyes. I have not tried watching movies on this monitor, I imagine it would handle them fine, but for semi-fast, to fast-paced gaming, this monitor is a no-go.

5 out of 5 eggsBig and gorgeous

Pros: Big, Color replication, features, connections

Cons: It might be a little too big other than that nothing else so far.

Other Thoughts: I have not owed very many monitors so I don't have alot of experience with them but the Benq is a big beautiful monitor I've only had it for a day but it is such a great monitor I thought I should give it some props. Mine came with no dead pixels :) I've only watch one movie and played a couple games so far but it has done a great job with no ghosting that I have seen. I'm exited to use this monitor if I see anything negative I will change my review here but so far Its the best monitor I've ever seen.
