5 out of 5 eggsA fine monitor at a decent price

Pros: Fairly sharp and the specs show it is fast.
The best stand and movement I have ever seen even in much more expensive monitors. Cool that it rotates to portrait and does so smoothly. When rotating it the bottom corner wants to touch the table/desk so just angle it out a bit first.
Low power consumption which is one of my requirements. Runs cool to the touch after being on all day. very nice.
My main reason for getting this is to save on power consumption and no lag in displaying what is sent to it.

Best for gaming

Cons: Switches between HDMI ports slowly....I wish it had a remote to do this as it is several taps to get it switched.
Well...I knew that the display angles were bad for this type of monitor but I had no idea how bad until I owned one. You must be directly in front of this thing for a perfect look. up-down right-left shows quick and sharp declines in view ability. Not for the family to watch TV or a movie...only works for one person directly in front of it.

Other Thoughts: I would buy again and recommend to a friend if they had similar needs

4 out of 5 eggsGaming Monitor with IPS Color

Pros: Gaming response times with IPS color depth and accuracy

Cons: only 60Hz and tends to be overpriced

Other Thoughts: Tom's Hardware has an excellent review of this monitor and what you can expect in terms of color. It's just shy of being on par with the best IPS monitors under $500. Photographers could absolutely use this for critical jobs. It's gorgeous.

Build quality is great and BenQ proprietary technology adds to what makes this a great monitor of gaming, specifically.

Unfortunately, this monitor tends to be overpriced. For a 60Hz, even with this color accuracy, it needs to be under $200 to make any sense purchasing. When it is, it's a steal if you don't consistently push over 60+ frames in games, or mostly play RTS, which this monitor is made for.

This is the monitor they feature at many gaming competitions in Asia where there is some big money to be made for the winners.

Has a 3-year warranty on everything but the panel itself which is an industry standard 1-year.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: This is a great monitor, the color does need some tweaking out of the box but I'm seeing details in my games that I've never noticed before. I'm also a huge fan of the blue light reduction/eye protection as my circadian rhythm is borked.

Cons: The viewing angle if not seated properly. Its a common problem for TN panels but since its in a fixed place and, well, so am I - so its really become a non-issue. Could be a problem if you want to use it as a monitor for multi-player fighting games with a few people in the same room.

Other Thoughts: I was worried about the viewing angle at first but it has become a non-issue since I'm sitting in the same place all the time. When I have the cash I'm going to pick up a second one to replace the monster sitting next to it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat 24"

Pros: -Great contrast ratio

-HDMI pass-thru

-Various pre-sets

-Great set of innovative features

Cons: -Only 60Hz

-laggy menu interface

-no IPS color

Other Thoughts: For this kind of money, I would've liked to have a 120Hz refresh rate. Also the menu is kind of difficult to navigate and I can't seem to adjust the color to be natural. Other than that, the pre-sets offer great viewing experiences for all kinds of different situations (movies, FPS, RTS, Fighting, Eco-mode...)

5 out of 5 eggsgood monitor

Pros: nice big monitor with rotatable stand (and tilt, elevation) and good for gaming for 60 hz and 1080p, nice dc backlight

lots of hdmi connections and hmdi for clone

Cons: i think it maxes out at 75hz and only is 1080p

Other Thoughts: only had this monitor for short time, this is my first large high quality screen

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product.

Pros: A good console gaming monitor, super easy to set up.
The out of the box colors aren't good, but I already knew this because of all the reviews I read about it, but all you have to do is calibrate it properly and it looks simply amazing! This is definitely one of the best monitors out there fore console gaming.

Cons: Would not recommend for PC gaming with, due to the 60hz refresh rate, but consoles can't go over 60fps so this is perfect for console gaming.

4 out of 5 eggsBenQ RL2460HT Black 24" 1ms

Pros: The weight of the monitor is light. The response time of 1ms is good as well. The nice bonus was the inclusion of multiple HDMI input ports and one HDMI output port. The HDMI output port allows a capture device to capture video without having to use a splitter from the video source. Overall a good monitor.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsNice gaming monitor for the price

Pros: Great price - amazingly adjustable stand

Cons: Not great out of the box

Other Thoughts: Out of the box this monitor displayed photos terribly, I thought it was defective. However after reading many reviews I found this to be common. After I customized the settings it looked much better. I still have some tweaking to do and this is why I subtracted one egg. I'm not saying it should be perfectly set up from the factory, but it should at least be not terrible. That said the options for settings are very comprehensive. Check around for people who post their settings.

In gaming it is fast and I don't notice any ghosting or artifacts. Photos and videos are smooth and not a dead pixel to be found.

The adjustable stand is the best feature I have ever had in a monitor. It should be standard on every monitor. After this I don't think I can ever use one without it! No matter what desk setup you have this baby will fit it. It's almost like it's on a mount you would purchase separately. Plus you can flip it to portrait as well. So simple but pure genius.
