5 out of 5 eggsBest display I've ever used for gaming!

Pros: As the title says this is by far the best display/monitor I have ever used for gaming. It has the snappy response of an old CRT and while not quite IPS level color depth, it sill is very vibrant and does everything you need it to do. I have been PC and console gaming on a 40 inch LED TV with a 60hz refresh rate for the past 4 years and struggled for the most part to compete and break even with my K/D. Now though I can easily beat the competition with typically very high K/Ds (typically over 2.5) This isn't because I'm some great player the monitor simply makes it so much easier to be precise and almost feel a step ahead of your competition. Great Product and would highly recommend to any serious or even casual gamer looking for serious boost.

Cons: None, Ive loved it so far.

Other Thoughts: I thought the screen size may be a little too big being a 27in and I wouldn't be able to cover the whole screen area very well. However that has not been the case at all I would easily recommend this size.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for gaming.

Pros: 144hz really makes a difference
Easy panel on the right
Good build quality

Cons: G-sync would have been nice, but for the price im really happy.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 PG279Q , 1 hb271hu and returned them all cause of horrible yellow tint / back light bleed that would make my games looks horrible.

I decided to go with this monitor instead, i thought i would regret my descision but honestly i am overall very satisfied for the price.

very nice monitor.

5 out of 5 eggslove it!

Pros: This monitor is one of the best investments I've made for my gaming rig second only to my 980 TI card which works perfectly with this monitor. Although it doesn't have Gsync everything else about this monitor and how it improves my overall gaming experience in terms of blur reduction, colors, resolution and more is fantastic. While it is only 1080 P, I simply use the Nvidia DSR to dynamically scale to either 2K or 4K which looks great with super fast response times.

All the gaming graphical horse power in the world is hampered by a week monitor. It akin to watching an IMAX movie projected onto a small dirty screen. Do yourself a favor and save your pennies and get this one.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Paid $379 on newegg sale.

Works fantastically with my Nvidia 3-D vision 2 because of its built-in support which has to be seen to be appreciated.

4 out of 5 eggsBenQ Gaming XL2720Z

Pros: Smoothness of motion at 144Hz is breathtaking. Great stand. Soild build. Love the light touch buttons on the OSD but the icing on the cake, is the remote "mouse" that's tethered to the monitor and allows you to adjust and select presets instantly. FPS games look 3D and move so smoothly that it's easy to track your targets. Tons and tons of settings.

Cons: Coming from a slow Dell monitor that was used for photography, this one looks shabby, and hurts my eyes out of the box. However, after trying and abandoning several methods to manually "calibrate", I was able to finally get a very nice accurate picture, AND still have a near perfect 144Hz gaming monitor. Vertical off angle viewing is the pitfall if you are going to do any photo work. For gaming and everything else, it's not even noticeable.

Other Thoughts: This really looks nice, and jives with some of the online test patterns too.

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor I've ever used

Pros: Color is flawless
Darks are DARK
Whites are WHITE
More ports than your body has room for
Resolution is wonderful
Super easy menu setup and use

Cons: I only bought one. :<

Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor more than a year ago and I LOVE everything about it. From the fresh rate to the depth of color it provides, there's nothing I can bash on this thing. I bought an ASUS before this, 28" 2048x1152 resolution, top of the line for it's time and worth the money, or so I thought. I started noticing white bleed like crazy about 2 years into the monitor use and that upset me a bit, I went shopping for a while and came across BenQ, a company I had never heard of before. I figure I give 'em a shot and really when it comes to computer parts, you typically get what you pay for. Honestly, I think this monitor is worth way more than just $550. When I saw what real contrast looked like, I've been hooked on these monitors ever since. I'm big into competition gaming and it definitely took a while to adjust to the darker areas but the immersion is just so worth the adjustment and you can even save your settings on this nifty little magnetic button that just sticks to the base of the monitor. It carries 3 different saved settings, so far I have them set for movies, games and power saving. I'm buying another BenQ for a second monitor and my third will definitely be the XR3501 wide. It looks absolutely amazing and for games like DCS or any kind of racing sim, it's worth every penny (also cheaper than most 34" monitors you'll find ever.).

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Well made high performing monitor. Great bang for your buck.

Cons: None found yet for price point.

Other Thoughts: I am not going to write out a full review for this monitor, but you will not be disappointed if this is the price point you are looking at spending on a monitor.

4 out of 5 eggs6 month check-in

Pros: * Still solid image

* Monitor stand is great for day-to-day usage, relatively easy to rotate

* The short-cut pad/controller makes it veeery easy to use and change between pre-sets

Cons: * Max K has the same issue I have, difficult to use touch sensitive buttons, half the time they don't respond

* Brightness has to be increased about 10% when monitor is in the rotated 9:16 position.

* Once in a while when I'm tired I notice a certain wavey-ness to the screen... Maybe because I was very tired?

* Had to RMA first one due to TN film separation

Other Thoughts: Adam B here again, with the 6 mo check-in after the RMA.

The OSD touch-sensitive buttons are a bit weird on this monitor. This was not the case on the screen I RMA-ed.
I didn't do RMA 2 as the dongle controller works like a charm and I much prefer that over the touch-sensitive buttons, so I rarely used the touch buttons anyways.

As said, I also saw some wavey-ness to the display. However I do note that this was only when I was very tired, so I'm not entirely sure if it's a physiological thing or if the display has something going in.

Otherwise it's a great monitor and I'm very happy with it. Very sharp, great color, and blazing fast. Still, those issues do knock off an Egg.

4 out of 5 eggscan't detect displayport

Pros: 144 hz refresh rate , it's 3d ready, motion blur

Cons: Colors not that great, as a prior reviewer if you using a display port and power off the monitor it will not detect the display port cable,

Other Thoughts: The display port issue was a big deal for me as I have the habit of powering my monitor off and leaving my PC running.

1 out of 5 eggsdead pixel and can't detect displayport

Pros: none.

Cons: -Dead pixel right out of box.
-Once I turn off the monitor and try to turn it back on, it can'd detect the displayport cable. I have to reset the pc with the power button to get a picture.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Benq monitor, I won't buy another in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Monitor

Pros: Just awesome. I used it to play and also to when i work from home. I can plug my Macbook on it and the quality it's just amazing. Really happy with this item.

Cons: Vision angle. If you change your position while you play this is not your monitor, because the vision angle is the only bad thing about this monitor.
