2 out of 5 eggsActually, don't get this monitor.

Pros: -144hz goodness
-Just the size I need
-Good Design

Cons: -As the others have mentioned, colors out of the box is cr*p! took me a while to calibrate

Other Thoughts: Owned this for a week now, spent almost everyday calibrating. Searched for settings made by others and tinkered with it myself, and I'm still not happy with this monitor. I wish I can replace it! I don't wanna say this, but I think I hate this thing now.

2 out of 5 eggsGood for gaming, terrible for ANYTHING else. Cheap construction.

Pros: - 144hz is amazing for gaming. If your video card can support it everything becomes buttery smooth.
- Not much else

Cons: - The absolute worst monitor I have ever seen for colors - Out of the box the monitor is completely useless. I spent over a week reading reviews, calibration suggestions, ICC profiles, and trying everything possible to get halfway decent colors out of the monitor; it was impossible.
- Because of the terrible colors the monitor looks absolutely awful when doing anything else other than gaming (IE: web browsing, typing documents, watching videos online, etc.)
- Cheap overall construction - The monitor feels extremely cheap. It wobbles a lot.
- Buttons for on screen display/menu are in a terrible location on the bottom right - This makes going through the menu to adjust your monitor a very clumsy and frustrating experience.

Other Thoughts: - I returned this monitor and purchased the BenQ XL2430T and WOW, what a difference! It took me less than 5 minutes of adjusting the settings to get a beautiful looking monitor. I followed the settings from Tom's Hardware for the XL2430T with a few minor tweaks. BenQ really made a huge improvement with the XL2430T. The overall construction of the XL2430T is magnificent. It feels very sturdy and obviously more attention to detail was given to this monitor vs the XL2411Z. If you are remotely considering the XL2411Z then you really need to do yourself a favor and spend a little more money and get the XL2430T instead.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Monitors

Pros: 1. 144 Hz monitors are absolutely stunning
2. The adjustable stand is great for traveling and have different height surfaces
BenQ has great drives and display pilot program that makes for easy setup and customizing your display to how you want it exactly

Cons: 1. No Display Ports for 1440p

Other Thoughts: They are the best monitors I have ever owned and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good monitor for gaming

5 out of 5 eggsBest purchase i've ever made

Pros: I rarely write reviews. But it only took one game of Unreal Tournament 4 to immediately want to write one for my BenQ. I cannot explain the massive difference I experienced between playing on my old 60 hz monitor and cranking it up to 144 hz with the FPS mode. Headshots were suddenly easy to land and felt like the game was doing most of the work. I was no longer straining while concentrating to try and land sniper shots. Flak kills rarely missed, I could clearly see people dodging in my face, when before I had trouble focusing on them since they seemed to move so fast. It was almost like I had some cheat mode activated where everything seemed slower and clearer. I cannot wait to try this on my favorite game of all time, Darkfall. And yes i'm totally using this review to also shamelessly plug that game because it will need as much people as possible to have a healthy population. Check out Darkfall: Rise of Agon or Darkfall: New Dawn if you're interested. Both are separate projects run by two different teams with different goals.

Cons: I was unclear about whether or not I had the drivers properly installed. I inserted the CD that came with it, and it just took me to a website that had links to the user manual and a few other options, none of them resembling drivers. But I havn't had any issues yet so I guess they automatically installed.

Other Thoughts: Absolutely. I immediately told my friends who play Unreal with me to try to save up for one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: - Large
- Easy to set up
- 144hz
- Good colors
- Ability to use different color profiles off of the BenQ website
- Blur Reduction
- Can use bluebusters strobe utility
- Nice, heavy stand which is adjustable in every direction

Cons: The UPS delivery guy dropped it off at the wrong house, i was lucky the neighbors were decent human beings and brought it over to me.

Other Thoughts: People say the default colors are bad/washed out/dull or something, but i didn't see the case, i actually did not need to do anything to the monitor, i loved it as soon as i turned it on, other than putting it 144hz and during on blur reduction, it's beautiful.

The monitor is a lot better than i thought, now my set up looks funny with this huge panel next to a small 1600x900 monitor. It's a good 45% bigger than my other monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge improvement for FPS gaming

Pros: Perfect. No dead pixels. I don't find the colors to be bad as people say about TN panels.

Cons: No.

Other Thoughts: Much bigger than I thought it would be, and a huge upgrade from 1440x900

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High refresh rate
Swivel and pivot and rotation
1920x1080 24inch display
It's a TN panel
No visible backlight bleed
Relatively small bezel
No audible electrical noise for internal components
Cool to the touch

Cons: This is a great monitor highly recommend but it has some pretty significant flaws

When blur reduction is enabled it's much dimmer than normal and it has a Very noticeable ghosting issue, and when disabled the picture looks noticeably blurrier.

It has issues with some programs/games running at 144hz but that's beyond the point (can fix most issues with running it at 120hz)

The OSD is very sluggish and hard to match the button, that are on the bottom of the display, to the little pictures on the screen

Other Thoughts: The monitor is updated to the current version 4 firmware.

I am a competitive CS:GO player and the ghosting with blur reduction is a complete turn off for me using try feature so I keep it off all the time. But with it off you see much more blurred pictures displayed on the screen. It takes a bit of time to calibrate the colors to someone what decent colors so they don't completely look washed out and horrid. But it is a TN panel running at 144hz so you should expect that.

The monitor is great even though it has some serious flaws but at its price point you can't beat it. The monitor is always cool never warm or hot doesn't make any noises has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left side of the the bezel but doesn't have another one as a source input rendering the port useless, it doesn't bother me so I didn't take a egg for that.

In conclusion I would like to see a firmware that fixes the issues with ghosting and possibly the OSD better though through in a revision of this monitor. But I would still recommend this to a entry level competitive gamer on a budget. For 249 USD there is simply not a better option.
