1 out of 5 eggsHORRIBLE MONITOR

Pros: flat screen

Cons: After about 1-2 mths it started getting green pixilation all over the screen. thought it could not be my monitor as it was NEW!!! changes my Motherboard, my RAM, my Processor.. and thought it had to be my video card... NOPE replaced that too with a 560GTX........ still same issue!!! This monitor is junk and has been from the start. I didn't know this or I would have warrantied it.... Tried to get SCEPTRE to help me out... and they asked for info SN and pictures of the monitor failure. I did my part and they dont even write me back... THEY GOT THEIR MONEY.... WHO CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! I will never buy SCEPTRE..............EVER............

Other Thoughts: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVER.. (of lack there of)

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible!

Pros: When the DVI worked, it was a pretty decient monitor.

Cons: Where to begin? First , it came with a stuck pixel which has remained stuck since I got it, right in the middle of the screen, very anoying and Sceptre wouldnt do anything for me, after trying 4 times to get ahold of there CS, who then I could barely understand. Ok, anoying in dark screens but got use to it. The the DVI stoped working a few months later, so forced to use vga. After some time I tried DVI again, it worked but the screen was so choppy I couldnt stay on it, so back to vga again. Now, when booting up the computer, the screen freezes and I cant turn off the monitor without unplugging it, and sometimes after its been on for a while, again the power and all the menu buttons on the side will not function.
Stay away from this monitor, this proves very true, you get what you pay for, the price is nice, but in the long run, well what else can I say.

Other Thoughts: Monitor: flakey, Customer service: horrible

1 out of 5 eggsLegal Action!!!!! Bad Product

Pros: When this LCD worked it was beautiful. The cost is great!

Cons: Even after all the reviews New Egg is still selling this monitor. I was lucky to have my DVI port last for at least 11 months. No reason the screen would only boot up with Red particles. I tried the DSUB cable and the monitor works fine. I did an RMA and was without my monitor for over a month and paid for shipping. It worked for 2 months and the DVI port went out again and this time black screen. DSUB works fine. When I bought this it came with HDMI, DVI Cable, DSUB Cable. I had ordered a second one for my wife. Same price NO HDMI, NO DVI Cable. And yes the speakers sound horrible on both. I am out of warranty and stuck with C R A P! DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!!!!!!!!! I am using all these reviews to build a case against SCEPTRE..

Other Thoughts: To New Egg: Try reading some of the reviews of your customers and question the products you sale. We put reviews on here to protect other consumers and help them buy good product..

5 out of 5 eggsRMA is Nesscary

Pros: HDMI, DVI, VGA, Fast Response, High Contrast, Very sleek!

Great customer service. Paid for shipping to and from, not a penny out of my pocket to get it RMD'd.

Cons: Annoying blinking blue LED while in suspend, at least its preety blue. HDCP over HDMI ONLY! Ports broke after 1 month use. I contacted sceptre and they handled everything and even paid for shipping both ways TO and FROM! I haven't had one problem since the RMA and my Moniter is on ALL THE TIME!

Other Thoughts: Give sceptre a chance!

5 out of 5 eggsSimply, Great

Pros: What can I say? This monitor has been perfect. NO dead pixels, great picture quality, insane response time, 1080p capable, easily wall mounted. It looks great as well, very sleek. Like the glossyness of the stand. Arrived in 1 day with 3 day shipping selected =).

Cons: No included DVI cable, stand isn't That sturdy, speakers aren't the most powerful but I don't care cause who would use monitor speakers anyway???

Other Thoughts: You can buy a DVI cable for like five bucks on here and a wall mount for like $40 which saves you room on your desk also. I've had NO trouble out of and I'm completely satisfied. Thank you Sceptre and Newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsI know it's long but just read it !

Pros: 1)16x10 ratio - 1680x1050 resolution is brilliant for any pc games, kicks every console game in the nuts.
2)D-sub, DVI & HDMI - You can connect your X360, PS3 AND your PC. Yes! 1 monitor for all. You can also use a vga box to connect your wii to the d-sub slot if you want.
3) 1200:1 Contrast Ratio is great, I have this and an acer monitor with 500:1 ratio connected and it does'nt even compare with this. 1200:1 really does make everything considerably clearer.

Cons: 1) Bought this monitor more then an year ago. The HDMI socket stopped working during warrenty so i get this new one. Guess what :) 3 months later (after warrenty expires) the HDMI in this one failes as well.
2) The monitor does not have tilt and the stand keeps it tilted a little backwards so you have to keep it beneath your eye level or jam a book under there.
3) Does not turn itself off when the input is set to HDMI.
4) Menu system is just wierd. Never can set the aspect ratio to what i want. Plus it does not let you move the picture around.
5) The buttons and the usb/ headphone/ mic slots are in the back. Can't see the control buttons but if you know when one to press you can do it by feel. GOOD LUCK connecting the usb or headphone without clear view though.

Other Thoughts: This was probably the first HDMI PC monitor on newegg so i just bought it and loved it. THough this is far from a decent investment. Guys I would'nt recommend it unless it's all you can afford, even then get SOME sort of extended protection.
Those who can afford to stretch their wallets, go with a 24 inch with 1920 x 1200. That way you can have true 1080.
PS. I tried connecting my PS3's HDMI to the monitor's DVI and (I think to PS3's fault) it does'nt work.

1 out of 5 eggsToo good to be true

Pros: Price

Cons: Everything else.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these for computer and gaming. So far one of the USB hubs broke on one, HDMI port broke on one, DVI port broke on one. Stand is garbage. Resolution gets stuck in 640x480 during bootup and then buttons do not respond so I have to unplug the power cable to get it to work. When it does work there is definite gradients in the black levels from the edges to the center from the lamp. I am never buying a Sceptre product again.

2 out of 5 eggsthumbs down

Pros: wow look at all the features and the size combined with a great price (I paid 335.00) dvi, hdmi, vga great brightness. and 22".

Cons: 1st monitor came with DVI problems. red line up and down on left side. rma. 2nd one same problem. looks like scptire did not do its homework on dvi and simply slap sticked this monitor together without quality control and pushed it on the market feeling that if they put it out there people will come and buy it as it sounds to good to be true. well it is to good to be true. now price is 100 dollars lesss and i would not waste my money on it. Stop and go elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: Why you still reading. Go elsewhere this product is a money pit with huge dissatisfaction. shame on sceptire!
