5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant monitor

Pros: Incredibly thin, crisp, clear picture, lightweight, elegant design, cheap

Cons: Seems weak at the join between the panel and the stand, but it's held up fine. Lan parties/ travelling across the country with it in my seat/trunk have done no damage

Other Thoughts: For the price, you simply cannot beat this little guy

2 out of 5 eggsInaccurate Color

Pros: Sharp contrast, clear picture.

Cons: The blues absolutely lean a little purple. I am a graphic designer, so I'm a little more picky than most with this. My company had some of these laying around, so I thought I'd try them out. Unfortunately, the color just aren't accurate.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Pros: Fantastic picture! I came from an old 20" lcd, and am currently using both that old one and this in a dual config. it puts my old monitor to shame. I LOVE how thin it is, and while it does seem to have a weak point at the junction between the monitor and the stand, I've brought it to several lan parties and even across the country in my trunk with no issues.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: HDMI / DisplayPort input would be nice, but not necessarily needed.

5 out of 5 eggsI liked this monitor so much I bought another one !!!,

Pros: I agree with the other reviewers this monitor is wonderfully bright and crisp and light weight!

Very low power too...

FYI - No bad pixels on either monitor... awesome !!!

!!! GREAT PRICE !!!

Cons: NONE REALLY

Would be nice if the cables were gray instead of black.

Actually it would be nice if this monitor was ALL white. I get so tired of most computer equipment only being available in generic / corp. black !!!

It would be great if computer manufactures offered more color choices.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these monitors, one last week and I liked it so much I bought a second one this week !!!

Be aware it has a laptop style external power supply (black - all the cables are black too).

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Thin and Light
all the plugs are in the base
when mounted makes even more sense with the touch power buttons
Good Color and Refresh time for the price

Cons: the stand seems a bit flimsy when actually standing this monitor feels like it should be mounted

Other Thoughts: The stand does not come off all the power and video plugs
are all on the stand which will let you do -3 degrees or 12 degree viewing angles
Read the book before you set it up because the stand locks into place for arm mounting

4 out of 5 eggsNice find

Pros: * Beautiful design

* Very thin, which makes it nice for those who move a lot or need desk space

* Pretty good color calibration right out of the box

* Matte screen rather than glossy

Cons: * For some reason, on random occasions, the monitor won't allow my computer to boot (running Windows 7 x64). Screen and CPU just sit on the BIOS screen and never goes further, requiring a hard reboot. Never had this problem before connecting this monitor.

* Viewing the monitor at any angle rather than straight on blows out the colors and makes the monitor hard to see. Odd considering the Dell monitor of 7 years that the AOC replaced wasn't this bad.

* 16:9 aspect leaves something to be desired, having come from (and using at work) a 16:10 monitor.

Other Thoughts: As noted in another review, the install disk's autorun doesn't work. The links to the program installs are broken. All the programs can be installed by exploring the disk, though. These programs, except for the one which emulates the touch base buttons, are worthless, so might be for the best.

Monitor can't push beyond 1920x1080. Not really a ding on the monitor but more to manufacturers in general. Before this 'HD for the layman' movement, a 23" monitor like this could have easily pushed past this resolution.

Overall I have minor niggles with this monitor. It's replacing a 7 year old monitor which Win7 didn't support (couldn't adjust brightness or contrast). I don't see myself keeping it for more than 3 years, but I recommend it to anybody thinking of getting a new monitor, especially if you find it for ~$150.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Price, Wierd Color

Pros: Lots of pros:

* Cheap!
* Low power usage
* VERY slim
* Love plugging in cables to the base
* Touch base is kinda cool

Cons: Biggest Con: Coloration.

Coloration is pretty weird. If this is your only monitor you may not be able to notice, but next to my other monitor from a different brand, the colors on the AOC just do not look very vibrant and are actually messed up. The blues tend to stray towards purple and the reds look washed out.

For example, the default background for Windows 7 looks very purple when there should be no purple what so ever.

Do not use any of the "color" boost features as they will create a terrible quality image and you will no longer be able to easily read text.

Other Thoughts: The issue that caused this monitor to ALMOST lose an egg is the color inadequacies. If you do not pair this monitor up against a higher quality one, or just do not care, then it is a very decent monitor for the price.

NOTE: Read the directions ON THE BASE before trying to straighten the base. I can see someone damaging the monitor if not paying attention to those directions.

Also, another commenter mentioned that the base is weak and the monitor wobbles. Well it seems to be about as strong as most non-adjustable monitor stands.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: I saw this monitor has some color and contrast difference from my old LCD Viewsonic, probably the setting. Easy setup, plug n play. Very very thin and all the plugs are on the base.

Cons: No.

Other Thoughts: I bought it at $100 from online shop with free shipping. It does not include DVI cable (who cares). This monitor is power by external transformer. The manual/installation CD has problem to open. Overall is good monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsBig. Bright. Beautiful!

Pros: -This monitor is very thin, making it also very light. Heat generation is almost non-existent due to the LED technology.
-The screen is VERY bright as stated in other reviews; however the controls are pretty workable to bring levels down during low-light conditions.
-Color settings were very close right out of the box; I pulled out just a touch of blue and was very satisfied.
Also, even at 5ms response time (which is FOREVER in gameophile time :p) framerates look extremely smooth with little to no blurring of fast-moving scenes.

Cons: -The base locks in two places, closed (flat against the monitor body) and fully extended. Finding an in-between is somewhat difficult due to the fragility of the stand, but I don't have any visual issues with the screen locked at full height.
- As already stated, this product may or may not come with a DVI cable. Mine did not.

Other Thoughts: With the somewhat flimsy feel of this monitor's construction, its best application would be a setup that does not need much moving around or travel. Otherwise an excellent performer!

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful!

Pros: -This monitor is gorgeous. The exterior is beautiful, as you can see in the pictures, and THIN. Currently the thinnest monitor you can buy.

-Picture quality, it crushes my friends' comparable ASUS and Dell monitors. Once I got the color settings right, I realized I was seeing colors that I never saw before on my old monitor - when you watch a movie, it's totally obvious. The dark colors are DARK and the bright colors are BRIGHT, with contrast at 50%. It's actually unusual and takes some getting used to, but it looks great.

-No wobbles! A lot of 23" monitors wobble, but this one is light and stays steady, which is great for my cruddy desk.

-Easily convertible into a wall-mounted unit because it's so thin, and the viewing angle is what you would expect from a TN monitor.

Cons: -Delicate. The overall construction is fine, but there is one spot where the stand and monitor meet that just feels like it wasn't attached properly. I would be very scared to take this to a LAN party, and I'd definitely have bought a sturdier one if that was a concern.

-The factory color settings make no sense whatsoever. I did need to use nVidia control panel to make it look good, could be a con to some people.

Other Thoughts: Keep the original packaging! Most monitors you can move by just wrapping them in a blanket and throwing them into some styrofoam peanuts. Not this one. It is a delicate flower, you'll need the original box to transport it safely.

Summary: Unbelievable quality for the price, buy it if you enjoy money and pretty things.
