The 9.2 mm thin, high-definition 23” Aire Pro i2353Ph Monitor features an IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel, a superior type of screen that offers consistent image appearance and colors across the entire display, even from extreme viewing angles. The Aire Pro also offers dual HDMI, making it easy to connect the monitor directly to your Blu-Ray Player or gaming console, to watch your favorite movies and TV shows, and play video games. Additionally, the monitor includes bonus features like embedded Screen+ software that allows you to divide the screen into four self-contained work areas for added productivity.

The modern widescreen Aire Pro monitor is one of the slimmest display panels on the market and offers impressive image quality with a 50,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 5ms response time, and twin HDMI ports for the ultimate HD viewing experience. The monitor is also equipped with multiple power-saving features for reduced environmental impact, while the LED backlight is completely Mercury free. An Off Timer allows you to set an alarm clock to turn off the monitor automatically, and the eSaver feature lets you preset power conservation modes for the display when the PC is not in use. The monitor’s Power Saving Mode uses 50 percent less power, and Standby Mode uses only 0.1w. The monitor also comes in green packaging.

The Aire Pro has illuminated soft-touch controls on the front of its base and a user-friendly graphical OSD menu that make adjusting settings simple. The base also transforms into a built-in VESA stand that locks into place so that the monitor can be used on a desktop and easily mounted on a wall by simply pushing a button and folding the stand at its tilt hinge. No assembly is required for the stand. The monitor’s easily accessible connections are located at the back of the stand.

  • newegg IPS panel IPS (in-plane switching) technology is the highest performance panel technology available in the LCD displays. The specifications and details of IPS panel technology are considered best for high accuracy in color, contrast and wide viewing angles. IPS panels offer excellent picture reproduction and suitable for photography, graphics design, movie production, CAD/CAM engineering, medical and security applications. With IPS panels, you will not have any color shifts or changes in the contrast ratio when you move the image across the screen or change your viewing angle.
  • newegg WLED backlight technology The WLED backlight technology helps produce brilliant images with darker blacks, brighter whites and better color saturation while consuming less power, and is more eco-friendly to the environment containing no halogen, mercury or lead, compared with a typical CCFL backlight.
  • newegg Full HD Format Support with HDMI With a maximum 1920x1080 resolution, the AOC i2353Ph displays full HD 1080p content in its native format without any loss of image quality. HDMI enables lossless transmission of high-definition digital video and audio through a single, convenient cable connection.
  • newegg Ultra-High Dynamic Contrast Ratio The AOC i2353Ph’s impressive 50,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 250cd/m2 brightness ensure accurate color reproduction and sharp images even when displaying darker scenes and images for even more breathtaking games and full-motion video!
  • newegg Low power consumption The AOC i2353Ph features low power consumption. It only uses 50% power in Power Saving Mode and only 0.1W in Standby Mode. An Off Timer and eSaver conserve more power. As a result, the AOC i2353Ph reduces your electricity bill and saves the planet.
  • newegg Screen +: Screen and Software Extend To Four Displays Yes, you are seeing quadruple – four windows for more productivity, that is. The embedded Screen + software is a screen-splitting tool. It splits the desktop into separate panes, each displaying a different window. You only need to drag the window to a corresponding pane in order to access it. Screen + supports multiple displays, making your job that much easier. Work in four unique windows – or work in one window, while you chat with a close friend on your favorite social network in a second window, then check your email in a third window and read the news on a fourth. The combinations and possibilities are endless. Multi-tasking has never looked as elegant as it does on the AOC AIRE BLK|LED.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor for the Price

Pros: Good picture, low price

Cons: Lousy sound

Other Thoughts: I have owned and heavily used this monitor for 7 months. The picture is at least as good as my other IPS monitor which I paid more than twice as much for. I have had no problems with the monitor or the HDMI connection as others have had.

I really like the base with the connectors. The screen is very thin, but that wasn't a selling point for me. The only negative point I have found is the built in speaker, which is absolutely horrible. They don't seem to advertise that it even has a built in speaker and I don't use it, so it's not a concern for me.

3 out of 5 eggsSubpar image quality using HDMI input

Pros: Light weight and thin. Has fairly good image quality via VGA input.

Cons: As another reviewer had noted, I'm also experiencing subpar image quality when connecting via HDMI input which is surprising. Using VGA input, the image quality was noticeably better. There is no DVI input so you are stuck with either VGA or HDMI input only.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat buy! Awesome Monitor for that price!

Pros: Easy to set up. The slimmest, lightest monitor I've owned and the resolution quality is excellent.

Cons: None so far. For that price, I can't complain.

4 out of 5 eggsGood monitor with a quirk

Pros: Simple monitor, bright, great color.

Cons: Didn't work with HDMI outputs until I connected it to a VGA source.

Other Thoughts: I tried using it with an iMac and a Macbook Pro via a Thunderbolt > HDMI converter. It would not work with either machines so I connected it to a ThinkPad via VGA. This worked and then when I switched inputs the display miraculously worked with the iMac and Macbook Pro. It's a little quirky but a good monitor once you get it setup.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat screen, sub par construction.

Pros: I'm rating this mostly on its screen, which so far has seemed to be pretty much on the side of fantastic (at least for the price that I paid for an e-IPS monitor. Sharp resolution, great color quality after calibration, and no light leakage (yet.)

Cons: The construction is a little bit weak. I'm all for the freakishly thin panel, and even with its strange base it still looks super slick, but it's a bit awkward in that you can't do a whole lot to adjust its angle. The touch buttons are nothing close to what you'd get on a tablet or phone (of course) but they work well enough. The only larger problem I've had so far with it is that the HDMI ports on the back can tend to get a little bit fidgety. This normally isn't a problem, but occasionally when I bump the monitor on accident or shake the desk, the screen will go black for a couple seconds like it's trying to recalibrate the connection, and will continue doing that every time it shakes.

Other Thoughts: My only other thoughts are that I'm not the biggest fan of the external power supply, but it was necessary to keep the devilish good looks and thin-ness of the monitor itself. Also, as most others mention, the fact that it's got 2 HDMI ports and a VGA is odd and a bit less than stellar. But then again, I pretty much just use HDMI anyways, and it's a great way to hook up my tablet to the screen.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat IPS monitor for the price

Pros: IPS panel with great image quality, bright screen, elegant design.

Cons: Software for the monitor is clunky at best, and the HDMI ports provide significantly WORSE functionality compared to the D-sub.

Other Thoughts: The monitor itself is great. The product software is borderline useless, aside from the driver. Very disappointed in the quality of the HDMI connection, otherwise this would be a 5 star product.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent for the price

Pros: IPS Panel, Good Color, Very Thin, Great Aesthetics and the plugs in the base are a great feature. The whole overall design is cool and the touch-based controls and light in the base are pretty cool. The 3 year warranty is a great plus. The response time is perfect for gaming as I see no ghosting and input delay is almost non-existent.

Cons: BUILD QUALITY! You can barely touch this thing and the whole monitor wobbles pretty severely. Adjusting the Tilt makes me feel like I'm about to break it or something. Only worth taking off 1 egg.

Other Thoughts: This is a great monitor if you are on a budget and looking for a decent IPS panel monitor but if you move monitors around or just hate flimsy monitors you might want to look elsewhere.

Also the color is a little off when you first get it (which is understandable) I recommend switching it to "warm" color mode and then using a 3rd party site to calibrate it via graphics card control panel.

2 out of 5 eggsGot a defective unit, Not great

Pros: It is THIN! Also the base is pretty awesome. HDMI port is a plus also.

Cons: Not sure about quality control at AOC, The unit I received was pretty bad. The bezel was about 2 inches away from the screen in certain areas enough that a finger could be put down into it. Thats unacceptable to me so I rmaed it. Also the picture quality is DECENT at best, No where near as nice as my Dell 24inch IPS panel.

Other Thoughts: I'd look elsewhere tbh, You could get alot more for the same price.
