5 out of 5 eggsExcellent LCD Monitor

Pros: Absolutely fantastic color, good greys and great brightness. The menu is easy to use and well laid-out for all common features. No dead/stuck/bright pixels to be found. This monitor stood out for me. I'm very happy! The provided USB ports and the video cables that are provided (both digital and analog) are a nice touch.

Cons: It cost a little more than other companies 19" non-widescreens and even more than similar sized widescreens, but it was well worth the extra money.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this monitor for people who don't want or like widescreen and don't want to spend $1000 for a 'super professional quality' monitor. The color reproduction is noticeably better than every other LCD monitor I've seen.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor!!

Pros: Excellent image quality, rich whites, very deep and dark blacks, excellent angles since it uses P-MVA panels, quite fast response with little or no visible ghosting, specially in black/gray interaction, one of the best Premium monitors in the market. Pivot adjustments which are great for presentation or reading, nice to the eyes.

Cons: A bit outdated since it only does 6ms, but P-MVA panels are usually slower than their TN's counterparts, but still the fastest P-MVA monitor currently even 3 years after its launch. Developed 2 dead pixels which got stuck in white 3 months later after I bought it, I just turned the monitor Off and started rubbing the dead pixels with a soft cloth and presto!! They're gone and they haven't come back for more than 7 months. The software is small but slow down the boot process and it isn't even necessary because with Windows Vista and later you can change the orientation and rotate the monitor with no problems. Also it comes with default contrast/brightness settings which are blindful.

Other Thoughts: If you want a normal size monitor with better color gamut and reproduction, rich blacks and fast response with Premium Multi Vertical Alignment panels aka P-MVA, look no further, this is the best balance, close to TN's speed with the image quality of a IPS without its slow response.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Great Monitor when it came out, its a little out dated now a days but its still a premium 19" monitor.
No dead pixels when I got it.

Cons: A little out dated, newer 2ms(GTG), not wide screen when I got this the whole Wide Screen thing wasn't in full effect yet. A little on the small side for today's High Tech standards.
One dead pixel after a year or so well maybe not dead but its missing the red section, Ive tried many things to fix this but truthfully I cant find it haft the time, it looks like a speck of dust, that's actually how I found it I cleaned the screen and tested a Monitor calibration tool other wise I likely wouldn't even now its there. Ive looked for it 3 times while writing this and only managed to find it once.

Other Thoughts: If your using a CRT less then 19" and dont want a Wide Screen then this is a great upgrade, great viewing angles, ive enjoyed this monitor but Im looking at the ASUS 25.5" 1920x1200 Res for about 3$$, I plan to get a VESA Arm Mount NewEgg Item"N82E16824994018" becuase i'll miss all the nice things this monitor spoiled me with

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good!

Pros: Display is clear and crisp, colors are vibrant. The stand is 'extremely' heavy (good).

Cons: It's not a 'Widescreen' (my bad).

Other Thoughts: The 'Height, Swivel, and Tilt' are awesome features (I don't use the Pivot option).
I originally bought this in May, 2008, and it was replaced under warranty on Sept. 2, 2009, due to development of dead pixels. The replacement also developed some dead pixels, so HP is replacing this one too (Sept. 22, 2009).

TIP: if warranty service is needed, this monitor falls under 'HP Business Class'. Ask for it. The support, unlike regular HP support, is 'First-Class', go figure....

5 out of 5 eggsA quality non-widescreen monitor

Pros: Great screen quality (hello, MVA), good on-screen and exterior adjustments. Attractive, understated design.

Cons: On-screen interface is a bit different from other LCD monitors - and I've used many. I can never remember which direction the - and + buttons scroll, and I always get it wrong each time. Not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: The cable stays on the left and right of the base can be a little tricky to figure out - you have to tug the cable through the upper flap opening, then use your fingers to lift the rubber flap out of the way as you continue feeding the cable towards the bottom, where the cable exits the rubber flap-covered area.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I was looking for

Pros: Excellent color and black levels
Not a glossy screen
Looks good
No dead pixels
Not a TN type panel
Height adjustable
No ghosting

Cons: A bit expensive
No speakers
HP tech support (hopefully I will not have to use them for this monitor, but they are terrible when you have to)

Other Thoughts: I looked at a lot of other monitors from Dell and Samsung. This one looked the best. I am satisfied

5 out of 5 eggsLove them

Pros: The thin bezel is perfect for dual+ monitors. Really good contrast/black levels/brightness. Zero pixel problems. Backlight is very even. I can't comment on color accuracy but the colors seem very rich. 4 USB ports are a plus. Supports Analog or Digital with each input. Comes with 2 digital and 2 Analog cables.

Cons: None I've noticed

Other Thoughts: I bought two. Not using the stands but they seem really good.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a great product

Pros: Let's put all the lcd technical specs aside. You can find other monitors with the same refresh rate, brightness, view angle, etc. This screen already competes well with any of those benchmarks. The great thing (that is hard to find) is a fully adjustable widescreen monitor. This screen can turn, tilt, height-adjust and even swivel to portrait view. For this price (which is very competitive) you can't find a screen with that type of flexibility.

Cons: I'm a designer who uses two of these wide screen monitors side-by-side. The one downside to using two lcd widescreen monitors together is that the color never matches on both of them. This is mainly due to the view angle. This isn't a unique problem to this brand, any lcd monitor has color shifts across the screen because of the viewing angle limitations....it's just more pronounced with wide screens.

My workaround is that i keep one monitor within the view angle and the other i use an a dump for tool palettes, and word docs and other windows that don't need super accurate color.

As long as you face square to your main monitor, the color shift across this monitor is minimal.

Other Thoughts: I really like these monitors. I have two of them at my workplace, and now i have two of them here at home.

I did the work, and shopped around. For the price, these are great quality with hard to find features.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!!!

Pros: Great monitor based on MVA panel which provides at least 170 viewing angle. Text is sharp and clear. Better then Dell or low level NEC for office applications. Since I use this for writing papers and internet surfing, this is a perfect choice.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: MVA panel looks a little bit different than TN. You have to give it a couple of days to adjust matte screen.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good crisp resolution in landscape mode.

Cons: The only reason to spend the extra money on this monitor is for rotation. It simply doesn't work as advertised, even in windows. Forget linux!

Other Thoughts: Its a great idea, but its not ready for prime time. I manage a law firm and to be able to get an entire page of text before staff workers would be great.
