5 out of 5 eggsEGGCELENT

Pros: Great display with the abient light sensor. Has an HDMI port and is 1080p.

Cons: Only one HDMI port but at the moment its enough. Glossy finish is annoying due to glare. Long warm up time due to size.

Other Thoughts: Overall its a very good monitor and my only real gripe is the fact that its glossy.

5 out of 5 eggsGorgeous

Pros: This monitor gives stunning color and picture quality, and its BEASTLY huge. WoW looks AMAZING. I havent watched any tv or Blu-Rays yet, but am eagerly anticipating doing so.

Cons: Slightly bulky, heavy and awkward, but not so much so to remove a top rating

Other Thoughts: Buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsGet out the sunglasses!

Pros: Like I mentioned, it is very bright. Whites and blacks are right on. Big, shiny, beautiful screen. Lots of extra configuration options for a more dynamic model than my previous HP2207. The 2.5 response time is quite noticeable compared to the 6ms on the 2207. Good buy.

Cons: No complaints, just observations... these speakers may as well not be built in; they are pitiful. The shiny screen adds to glare problem; however, that is fixed with the intensity of backlight.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful color

Pros: the color on this monitor is outstanding 92% color gamut and it shows, where most monitors are in the 72% range. setup was a breeze took about 15min to get it out of the box and fine tuned due to the brightness set at 100% HP offers many presets if you choose, if your in the market for a 27" monitor don't hesitate to put this at the top of your list. comes with all the cables you could ask for except the HDMI. it seems the sticker is no longer an Issue as others have posted. I have played several hours of gaming with no eye strain, Text is crisp,no ghosting or dead pixels I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Cons: 130W max

Other Thoughts: I didn't order from newegg (sorry) bought direct due to the coupon I was able to get.

4 out of 5 eggsTotal Eye Candy

Pros: I had it narrowed down to this monitor and the Samsung P2770FH. I wanted the Samsung because of its 1ms response time for all the pc gaming that I do. There was something about the HP that I admired so much more. The HP looks bigger, and I fell in love with its design (the stand looks similar to the Apple studio monitors. So far I am very pleased with this monitor. The colors are vibrant and clear, I did little callibrating with it. I use the ambient light sensor because this sucker is very bright! I felt my face get a sun tan! but as bright as it got, it was still very clear with text and looked amazing. I was nervous about getting this also because of the 2.5 ms response time, but I tested it with Dragon Age Origins and Black opps to test out both RTS and FPS games. Even with the overdrive feature witch is off by default, this bad boy handled it fine. No ghosting from what I noticed, and im pretty picky. Overall im a happy man.

Cons: The only reason why I could not give this fine piece of equipment 5 eggs is because of its high power consumption. 130W, is as much as my old 18" CRT viewsonic used.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this through HP direct at $300 so for the price I'm pleased

5 out of 5 eggsI can't believe it's 24 inches!

Pros: Wow, is this thing huge, but completely awesome. Will need to tune back light down a little bit as it's very bright, which is a good thing. Great picture and sharpness and the color contrasts are stunning.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: At first I thought that it was too big, but after playing Black Ops on it for a couple hours I was completely sold.

5 out of 5 eggsShouldn't have waited

Pros: Simple design, very bright, straight forward OSD, solid build, Wow factor, black levels blend nicely in dark games (no nasty artifacts).

Cons: Not a fan of digital documentation, Top marquee sticker will take a few minutes to peel off completely. Very minor complaints.

Other Thoughts: As a gamer the display pretty much comes out of the box ready to go; remember to adjust over-scanning/under-scanning on your video driver console. Brightness will never need to go above 50%. Picked mine up in Hawaii on sale for $349 after seeing the 20-inch model in action. Upgraded from a 22inch Samsung. My Radeon 5850 handles 1920x1080 just fine. Would highly recommend this monitor for gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsHP2710m

Pros: Well I won't go to Bablefish/Tech explination to try and dazzel the pro's out there. I have both the HPw2558bc and this HP 2710m. I have to admit this 2710m has gotten more then just a few.WOW's from visitors. I have not experianced any of the troubles I have read on this sight so far (fingers crossed). Since all of my systems run 24/7 I rarely have to shut this down. The few times I have compared to other WS LCD's I've owned this one really gets graphics up FAST. Personally I really think HP has looked to us dummies 'that are most likely the greatest users. I've ran a few test and I think out of the box this monitor will do everthing most of us would ever even think of ie: no tearing. good response to ambient. pixel distribution in all ranges seem to be flawless. Personally I think stock setting will serve most with a grin. Newegg as always gave me the best price I could find but got it to me when they said.

Cons: Only con is that I wish Newegg would quit selling systems 'that should ( in this case) be in the 800 too 1200 range to everybody and just give me these prices :)

Other Thoughts: There are a few quirks in the onscreen adjustments 'that take afew times to get used too otherwise BUY this and quit squinting.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Excellent contrast, brightness, color, response and sharpness. The back-light at 100% is enough to give you a suntan. I turned mine down to less than 50% and am pleased with it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The size of this monitor is excellent. It just about doubles the real estate that I had with my 20 inch 1:1 monitor. This makes it much easier to multitask with word processing, browsing and other activities that tend to use space.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing picture. By far the best monitor I have ever owned. Great for games, especially large army games like RTS games. I've owned it for over a year now and have used it for many hours of gaming. So far no dead pixels or anything to complain of.

Cons: Sometimes I after waking up from standby my other monitors come up but this one I have to press the power button on.

Other Thoughts: I'm not extremely educated in the field of graphics but one question.
Is this thing capable of 3D?
