4 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Screen

Pros: - BIG
- Adjustable stand
- Aspect ratio give one a major advantage in FPS games due to a wider view.

Cons: - Expensive (the only reason it lost 1 egg)
- Aspect ratio does not work well for all menus inside applications. Sometimes things are chopped. Not really the display's fault since more and more users are working with multiple screens to achieve extreme aspect ratios.

Other Thoughts: If you are not buying this for FPS games, I would look at other options at the same price point that offer more screen real-estate. At the same time, this is the only monitor I have ever seen that is comfortable for productivity as a single monitor.

I personally love this monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Beautiful colors, ultra wide design makes FOV in games so amazing.

Love the stand on this monitor as well, very sturdy, no wobble, and the height adjustment works great.

No dead pixels, and no backligtht bleed, but there is alot of annoying glow

Cons: Glow - this monitor has horrible glow on the screen, which some would also call Viewing angle. There is no back light bleed, but many could confuse the glow with backlight bleed, and its just as annoying. You can tell the difference because backlight bleed is static, the glow changes and moves around depending on your closeness and viewing angle. On my screen its on the left side, which i can clearly see in dark gaming 2ft away.

I did research is this is just something you have to accept with IPS panels, The colors make up for it. I just had to accept it was there, and i ignore it now so it doesn't bother me too much. But please take note of that.
It isn't THAT bad though.

If move my head to the same distance to the outside of the right hand side, it has the glow as well.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor, nice FOV. Perfect for gaming. Bf4 looks so nice on this. Pricey, but its a good monitor.

The glow isn't that bad and doesn't hurt gaming or tv, especially since its off to the side, and its a ultra wide monitor so it wont be the center point of your view. Also you can easily move further back, or change the angle.

I think the glow is probably what other reviewers confused with backlightb leed.

well worth the price, would be 5 stars if it didn't have the glow, with isnt a flaw in the monitor itself, but rather the technonology

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb Monitor!!

Pros: Nearly everything about this monitor is great! It is fantastic for gaming and video editing. The refresh rate is great and there isn't any noticeable lag in the refresh rate with the newest games. The 21:9 aspect ratio essentially makes this monitor two-in-one, which increases work productivity. The colors are about as good as I've seen on a monitor, which is a pretty bold statement. If you are a movie buff you will love this monitor, because the 21:9 aspect ratio eliminates the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen! The biggest selling point for me was the stand; it is well built and can rise above any standard 15" laptop screen. The ability to have 3-4 windows open at the same time, while not having to even move my head is fantastic!

Cons: The price is high, but well worth it.

In low light situation when a dark game or movie is being watched there is some light bleed towards the lower right corner of the screen. I think it's hard to avoid this in 21:9 screens, because of their width. It is hardly noticeable, unless you are picky about screen like myself.

Content: Movies are great, but its a stretch to find other online content with native 21:9. Most video content, other than games and movies, will have black bars on the sides of the screen.

Other Thoughts: I think this monitor is ahead of its time. The mainstream market will shift more towards 21:9 content in the future, with the evolution of 4k.

Another thing to watch out for is make sure you have a good graphics card that can handle 2560x1080 at 60 to 100hz without killing itself. A standard card in a laptop won't work well for media content.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Adjustable stand
Great viewing area
Hardware menu imput
21:9 Display ratio

Cons: Bought it when its was 549.99 now its only 479.99. :(

Other Thoughts: I work with CAD / CAM software.
The 21:9 ratio is what I need. With the rest of my CAD tools move to the right side. I can now get a bigger viewing port for any project I am working on.

Now that LG has announce its new 34 inch ultrawide monitor.
I felt that I should of waited a while longer. Oh will.

Hope newegg has it in stock when its release.

I did not buy this monitor for entertainment. So I have no matter in that area.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful, just beautiful!

Pros: These are beautiful monitors, I bought two for a dual monitor setup. I do a lot of programming so now there is plenty of room for applications without having to minimize. I would have done 3 or 4 monitor setup if my wife would never found out the price tag! As Alan V. said the black strip around the outside is a bit bothersome. Would have been a thousand times better if it was border-less. Height of the monitor throw me off for a minute, but I quickly got over it. The picture is very sharp.

Cons: Speaker are not that great, but I didn't order them for the speakers. Comes with a headphones jack in the back. Would off been nice to have it on the side or front for easy access. Nothing a headphone cable extension won't fix.

Other Thoughts: I am currently only using one monitor at the moment. The other one had a massive amount of bad pixels. The package it came in was damaged on the outside as well as the inside. Shipped by UPS. This is the third item I have had to RMA that was shipped by UPS. Maybe it's a coincidence, maybe it's not. However I have read a lot of reviews on Newegg about UPS's level of service.

4 out of 5 eggswidescreen movies and gaming a big plus with this monitor!

Pros: *it's from ASUS (been using their products for years with assuring quality)
*ultra-widescreen display
*pretty solid when gaming (played Battlefield 4 and TitanFall, very little input lag if any, no ghosting so far, good color accuracy, and gaming with this monitor will have you looking at gaming in a slight "wider" scale, which is a good thing.
*AMAZING with widescreen movies (it eliminates the black bars in those kind of movies, bringing out more of imagery in movies.
*working with digital art and photos 9/10 not as perfect as the more expensive monitors, but a very close. (I'm a digital illustrator and love to edit photos)

Cons: *Their is actually a border around the screen that measures close to a centimeter of thickness, which would let down some people who would expect this to be somewhat "borderless". (at first it somewhat bothered me, but now I got use to it and don't notice it much at all now)
*not 120hz (for the gamers out there) still give the 1080p vibe of gaming, (I'm also using this monitor along with my Samsung 27'inch 2560x1440p monitor and I see the clear difference, but having extra viewing room on the sides help gaming seem more immersive. so the slight negative is not enough to take off an egg.)
*just like what some other people have mentioned, some older games will not take full advantage of the resolution.

Other Thoughts: first off, hats off to newegg for a super-fast delivery! Everything game intact, aside from the outside of the box being slightly worn and dirty, the packaging kept the monitor safe ;)

If you're into photo editing and are on a slight budget, this monitor will do the job very well. If you're into gaming, this monitor will serve you well, mainly for the wider view and of course the other factors of very low input lag and almost no ghosting. If you're into movies (mainly widescreen movies) you'll surely enjoy watching those kind of movies on this monitor since it eliminates the black borders you would normally see on other monitors or TVs for that matter. I would give this a solid 5 eggs if it wasn't minor cons, but all in all I'm a happy camper and will be buying 2 more of these monitors soon.

5 out of 5 eggsA great monitor

Pros: Beautiful brilliant color, bring out the best graphics of your videos and games. Extra views for the FPS games are great. extra room for web browsing.

Cons: Lack of height takes a little time get used to. Old games resolutions supports is not too good (before 2010). Expensive.

Other Thoughts: I went through several monitors. This is the best looking monitor in terms of graphics and colors, period. It does need time to get used to if you come from 16:10, as you can feel the lack of height. For the 1080i(21:9) owners, it is much easier to adapt. You would soon enjoy the extra rooms for twin web browsing. Playing games is great not only it brings out the brilliant colors of the games you never seen before but also the extra wide properties make you emerge into the games more.( I do not want multi-monitors set up). Some older games does not support the 21:9 set up. But you can use program (flawless widescreen)to make it up, so it is not a big deal. Overall, if you like to play games a lot (especially FPS), and like multi web browsing with just one monitor, buy this and never look back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitors

Pros: Great monitors, work great.. love them

Cons: None, because I'm not allowed to mention how newegg completely dropped the ball on shipping and didn't care so I won't. Instead I will say that these monitors are without flaw.

Other Thoughts: well worth the value!
