CHIMEI CMV 937A Silver-Black 19" 8ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 330 cd/m2 600:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Great monitor! For teh winz! Hasn't had any serious problems thus far. Has been excellent for me for about 2 years now and is excellent for gaming watching movies or anything really... Running a nVidia 8600 GTS with 3 gigs of ram and an AMD 3800+ 2.41 ghz. Excellent monitor and I would recommend it to anyone

Cons: Did have a minor issue with power. I'm pretty sure that it's simply my power cored but it could possibly be the monitor. On random occasions the monitor would not turn on until I repeatedly unplugged, and plugged in the monitor. I haven't had this issue for a good many months but it might be something to think about...

Other Thoughts: Get this monitor :D

Pros: Beautiful display, very reliable, and great price for a 19". I move my computer around a lot, and this is durable.

Cons: Virtually none.

Pros: Super bright and clear screen. Nice and simple design.

Cons: Its hard to adjust the tilt of the screen, but its not too big a problem.

Other Thoughts: When I first bought it I had it on the maximum brightness setting. I had to turn it down because it was starting to hurt my eyes.

One dead pixel near the top of the monitor.

When it comes time to upgrade my monitor again, I'll definitely get another Chimei.

Pros: Cheap,big,bright.

Cons: You get what you pay for.(bulky stand)some screens you look at and its glassy this one is "rough".

Pros: Looks great both image and style wise.

Cons: It won't stay on!! I purchased mine from a major OEM and since it comes on and goes off randomly an RMA may or may not solve the issue. I am guessing I get the same one back that I send in.

Other Thoughts: As the other poster said, it will suddenly go "poof". No front LED, no picture, no nothing. It may come on 10 seconds later of 3 hours later.

Pros: Price...I bought this about a year ago and it was the lowest priced 19" WS on the market with 8ms or less RT.Still looks great after nearly a year

Cons: Very few...I wasn't thinking and dragged a fingernail across the screen while pointing something out to my daughter and killed a pixel (or so I thought) A few days later....pixel back. Moral of the story...durable monitor.

Other Thoughts: The only possible drawback is that, for whatever reason the price hasn't really dropped in a year. Only thing now is...you don't need to wait on a rebate to get the price....Can't lose on this monitor.

Pros: This monitor is incredable, I ordered it Tuesday night and it came Thrusday afternoon. Incredable picture. Great size. Fast delivery And unbeleave able for the price too

Cons: So far nothing major just the buttons on the side arn't marked so I had to guess which one was the power button.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried speakers on them. I dont plan to either only cause I have four speakers and a headset already pluged in

Pros: I wrote another review but forgot to mention that this monitor does have mounting holes. It has a cover that pops off the stand in the back to allow removal of the stand and uncovers the mounting holes. I almost passed this monitor up because people kept saying it didn't have mounting holes. Glad I read the specs that say it does. I bought a vesa compatible mounting bracket for it and have it mounted at my desk. Worked great!

Pros: I'm really quite pleased with this monitor. All my monitors in the past have been 17" lcd and this is my first 19" I don't think I would want to get any bigger than this for the distance I sit from it. Like sitting too close to the front in a theater if it was bigger. One concern I had was being able to use the native resolution because I have onboard video (nvidia). I didn't normally have an option for the native resolution for this monitor. Below is a link on how to add resolutions for nvidia which quickly allowed me to add the resolution I needed. The speakers are monitor speakers. They are never the same as speakers you buy separately. They work very well for my application which is my desk at work. Saves lots of room by not forcing me to hook up other speakers in my limited space. It works fine for the volumes that I listen to music at my desk.

Cons: Have yet to find any. Display is quite crisp. Had to turn down the brightness because white was almost blinding. Didn't wash out the colors though. After seeing the monitor in person, I'm not at all worried about build quality and I'm the kind of person that has extended warranties on everything. I only purchased an unknown brand because I was on a tight budget. I was looking at the comparitavely priced monitors, but in the end they had more poor reviews for stuck and dead pixels than this one. I'm glad that I chose this monitor because it more than exceeded my hopes.

Other Thoughts: No stuck or dead pixels. Some reviewers don't seem to know that a pixel that is the wrong color isn't dead, it's stuck and sometimes that is fixable. Do a search on google for fix stuck pixel or something like that and you'll find something that explains how to at least try to unstick it.

Also as a side note, why does everyone feel the need to put "Newegg rocks! Their shipping is awesome!" in their reviews? I have't found their shipping to be very fast but I buy because of price and selection. What does shipping have to do with individual product reviews!
