5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Crisp picture as long as you use it in the native res.
Great response times for games, all my games are crisp and awsome looking. I play Crysis and Wow the most though.

Cons: Speakers not that great

Other Thoughts: I replaced a Samsung 17" lcd and this is every bit as good as the Samsung I had.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb monitor

Pros: This thing is disgustingly beautiful. The colors are very rich, and it is VERY bright at the maximum brightness setting. I have been used to a 17" WUXGA laptop screen, and I prefer this monitor even with the lower resolution.

Cons: Lower resolutions (such as the resolution displayed during the boot process) looks very bad, with fixed width fonts being distorted. How well this thing displays higher resolutions negates this slight issue.

Other Thoughts: I used this monitor for four days before removing the protective panel. The packaging the box came in ensured that the monitor was very well protected as well, and it shows. Not a single ding or other blemish as a result from my local UPS delivery service's careless drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsA+ Monitor

Pros: Crystal clear picture. Fast Refresh. EXCELLENT IN HD. Can't say enough about how good this thing is.

Cons: HD to DVI cable is not included and is relatively expensive at local stores ($50-$60). I would go ahead and either order one from Newegg or another online source since this drives down your overall cost significantly.

Other Thoughts: I've been looking for a matching alternative to Apple's HD Cinema Displays and I must say that this thing definitely competes with their highly overpriced products. If you're even thinking about buying this monitor dive right in, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsUnknown but good

Pros: Beautiful large bright screen. Plug and play with my linux distro (Mepis 7)

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Not a con but a consideration is that I like this monitor setting at its high Kelvin level (~6500K) and my old LCD monitor looks pale yellow by comparison when I have them side by side.

4 out of 5 eggsBig screen, little money

Pros: Screen size and price for sure. It's priced comparable to many 19" monitors, and it's a huge upgrade for video recording enthusiasts.

Cons: Eh...minor stuff like the stand. Not much adjustment. It didn't seem real bright in an office, but it was tweakable. Nothing that would stop me from getting another.

Other Thoughts: Really, you can't touch a screen of this size for the money. If your thinking of doing non-linear video editing, finally there's a screen where you can actually work comfortably in Premiere and other editors. And what a nice touch with the HDMI input.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice monitor

Pros: This monitor has exceeded my expectaions. I was looking to upgrade the size and clarity of my previous 19" LCD monitor and found this one in my price range. Upon getting the monitor and first setting it up I was extremely happy to find no dead pixels. The bright "G" that everyone talks about isnt that big of a draw back for me, worst case you could just put a peice of tape or something over it and it would be not big deal. I have found NO ghosting on it and the 5ms speed is noticable coming from my old monitor, as is the clarity (its easy to tell because I have them setup as a spread desktop). All in all, an amazing monitor for the price, but even forgetting the deal still an awsome monitor.

Cons: The buttons are not that easy to access. They are on the bottom of the screen and are a bit akward to use, also the volume for the monitor is a serious pain in the but to adjust, you must go into the monitor's menu and through 1 or 2 sub menus to get to the volume adjustment.

Other Thoughts: Buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: The screen size is very large without looking cumbersome on any desktop. Even going from 19 inches, you will probably laugh at how hugely awesome this is when you set it up. It is bright and beautiful, everything looks so much better, even with the standard VGA plug in. Havent' run anything under the reccomended resolution because if you do, it will look wonky. Not sure why you would want it at a lower resolution anyway. I got this as a Christmas present and dare I say it is perhaps one of the best presents I've ever recevied. Controls on the monitor are out of the way but very efficient if you need to use them. I really cannot say enough about how great this monitor is. I call my parents several times a week just remind them how awesome it is!

Cons: Doesn't come with a HDMI to DVI cable but look online and you can get one for under ten bucks shipped to you. Audio on the speakers isn't a long term solution, but really, this is a monitor, not an entertainment center. Putting the stand on is a little bit worrysome, as others have said; it does seem like you might break it when putting it in. Just squeeze the base a little you can rock it in easily after that.

Other Thoughts: I find the blue G to be pretty cool and it doesn't distract from my veiwing experience at all. Have not noticed any light bleeding when the monitor is off: it is as black as if you have turned it off, IMO. I also went back and installed all my old PC games on it just to see how they look, and they look amazing. I think I may have one dead pixel but if so it is only because I really looking for it; I haven't ever noticed it except when I was really scouring the screen. This is an outstanding monitor, all around.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Monitor

Pros: This is an excellent LCD, very bright, clear, everything. HDMI is a huge plus to me, since i will be getting an Xbox 360 Elite soon. I was originally planning on an Acer 20", but for 15 extra bucks, i'll take this instead. Do NOT worry about this purchase. I had NO dead pixels.

Cons: The biggest one i can think of is the fact that it doesn't have DVI. I just picked up an HDMI to DVI cable from Newegg for 6 bucks, so no biggie. The way the monitor attaches to the platform on the bottom seems a little flmisy when i attached it, but it seems to hold it pretty good. I was up and running with this monitor in 5 minutes, didn't even glance at the directions. Simple as stick it in the base, plug it in, turn it on.

Other Thoughts: I was worried at first because i plugged it in and it was fuzzy at all reses i tried, but then i found the one i wanted (1680x1050) and it was fine. Running at that now, and everything is VERY crisp. The bottom line, this is a very, Very good purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsnot much to complain about

Pros: This is a nice large monitor. The refresh rate keeps up well and the resolution through hdmi in looks great. This also makes for a good solution for a small high def tv. I hooked up my PS3 and i gotta say it did look great. The speakers aren't anything to brag about, but for the price, well worth it.

Cons: The reason i am giving this product a 4 is because without having it set to the specific resolution, it is quite pixelated. Most monitors will look fine no matter where you have the resolution as long as it fits the aspect ratio of the screen, but with this monitor, to get the best picture, i have it almost maxed out and i'm not real fond of having all my text and icon's so small.

Other Thoughts: My first thought was that i made a bad choice with this monitor, but once i got it hooked up through hdmi instead of vga and got the resolution high enough, i changed my mind. Plus one great advantage to this monitor is being able to use it as a high def tv. It'll be nice for trips to be able to take my PS3 and this monitor for something to do on boring nights.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Looks great, controls are easy to access, but out of the way.

Cons: Packaging was kind of flimsy. Built in handle was torn on arrival - it could have been a heartbreaker if I didn't notice before I picked it up to bring it upstairs.
