Another EGG-CELLENT monitor from Hanns-G
- Pros: What can you say? Just another excellent monitor from Hanns G that I've bought from Newegg. They were the company I bought my first flat panel off Newegg from in 2006. Since then, I've bought anywhere from 10 to 15 Hanns-G monitors from here of varying models in the past year. All of them had the same excellent quality....and even better but I haven't received a single one yet with a dead pixel!
- Cons: Well, if you want to nitpick, then I guess you can say they don't include a DVI cable. Other than that, anyone who buys one of these monitors for the built-in speakers and are then disappointed because they're terrible is well...lets just say I'm laughing at them!
- Other Thoughts: Remember that any LCD monitor looks best on its native resolution....and that goes DOUBLE for wide screens! I've had such exceptional luck with Hanns-G that this brand is the only one I've ever bought. I've thought about it a few times but 2 things always bring me back to Hanns-G. One, they're usually the cheapest....and two, I'm a bit hesitant to jinx myself by going against the hot streak of zero monitors received with dead pixels.
Very Good
- Pros: Very bright, crisp, and clear. No ghosting on COD4, Crysis, or GHIII.
- Cons: One stuck pixel that keeps going in and out, does not come with a DVI cable, and a little light bleed the top 1/8th inch. The stand isn't very sturdy but nothing that big of a deal.
- Other Thoughts: Don't know how I ever lived with using a 15" LCD.

Owned TWO for THREE YEARS
- Pros: Durability and price, sharpness of screen and NO DEAD PIXELS after three years of use. RGB and Digital cables.
- Cons: Somewhat flimsy mounts
- Other Thoughts: I paid very close to 200 dollars a piece for two of these monitors from NEWEGG almost three years ago. I use a 256mb dual monitor INVIDIA graphics card. The monitors and card have run flawlessly for almost three years and I switch between which is the MAIN monitor regularly. ONLY DELL AND SAMSUNG have anything comparable, of course they cost twice the price too.
Wrong resolution
- Pros: N/A
- Cons: Its EDID does not work on Ubuntu 9.04 and WinXP. That's mean you cannot set the correct resolution. I solve the problem by using EDID from other monitor. But still couldn't get the clear picture.
- Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY HANNS-G Product. Hanns-G Does not have technical support via e-mail in the US. If you monitor is dead, don't expect they will reply you! They never reply my e-mail. This is one of the most irresponsible computer parts company I've ever seen.
