5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice display, versatile, and a great "mobile" monitor--breaks down quicky and easily, and is very light. Very handy size for secondary use, too.

Cons: It could be a little brighter, and it's not digital, but I can't complain when I look at the price and power requirements...no eggs lost here!

Oh yeah, it doesn't make dinner :-\

Other Thoughts: The base is quite functional...not swiveling is completely inconsequential to me--it's so light, who cares?. All in all, a balanced set of characteristics.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cheap Monitor

Pros: Cheap. Very bright screen as well, I kept looking over at my other screens thinking that they were dimmed but it was just this one being bright. When I dimmed it to match I noticed another plus; really vivid colors compared to my HP and Dell Screens.

Cons: The VGA cable that comes with it is un-shielded and will let noise across from other electronics.

Other Thoughts: I have had Hanns G before they are a little hit and miss but for the price this one is worth a shot. Like I said before I found it odd that the cable that came with it was un-shielded. I just used one of my old cables and threw the other one in the junk bin.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent monitor for a good price.

Pros: -Sharp, vivid screen
-Very Light
-Low power consumption

Cons: The only downside I've found so far is that this monitor seems incapable of maintaining aspect ratio with most games or other fullscreen programs that require a specific resolution. For example, if you run a game that only supports a max resolution of 1024x768, the image will end up stretched across the entire screen.

I assumed, at first, that this was perhaps a symptom of my graphics card, but after trying the monitor out on several other PCs, it has become clear that it's the monitor's "fault." It's not a major issue, but it can be bothersome.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I would say that this is a fantastic monitor for the price. It's very light, it uses very little power, puts off almost no heat, and delivers a very vivid and colorful picture. To be honest, if I didn't already know, I would never guess that this monitor is refurbished. It's as if it's brand-new. Definitely worth buying if you want a decent monitor and you don't have a lot of cash to drop.

2 out of 5 eggsVery nice BUT it doesn't pass FCC

Pros: Very nice looking. Very light. Image is great.

Cons: Needed this for a system shipping to a customer but it does NOT pass FCC certification testing (even though it is listed as FCC certified).

2 out of 5 eggsA Disappointment (Even for a Cheap Monitor)

Pros: It's a cheap monitor, it's rare to find monitors this size these days (the one it replaced was an old 15 inch Dell LCD and the area it is seated can only handle a 15 inch monitor).

Cons: Out of the box I was impressed at how beautiful the screen was for the price, it really is a beautiful monitor when everything works correctly. However, after the first day of usage I noticed two dead pixels pop up. After day two, a very nasty vertical line going down the right half of the screen that goes away and keeps coming back.

I understand this is a $60 monitor, but come on. I purchased this monitor with the intent of keeping it for a few months until I expected it to inevitably die and I was ready to buy a new desk that'd support more larger monitors, but it doesn't look like it'll last even that long at this rate.

Other Thoughts: If you need a monitor for a few days, or if you're one of the lucky ones, this isn't a bad buy. I like to think I am the only one who purchased a 'bad Hanns-G' but I have a slightly older 28 inch plasma Hanns-G that also has many dead pixels in it as well. My LG that is 6 years old and a Planar that I have that is also around 5 - 6 years old both have no problems and have been used much more.

I might consider buying Hanns-G again but it will have to be another 'too good to be true' deal to get me to consider it.

5 out of 5 eggslight weight slim monitor

Pros: power supply is in the adaptor, meaning a lighter monitor. great for applications where you're moving the monitor around. Screen is bright, and the auto-adjust did the trick for me.

Cons: it's small, but that's why you'd get this monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsreally nice.

Pros: Small and light. I can lift it with two fingers. It works. I really like getting rid of that heavy monitor. And I can also remember the old CRTs. This LED unit is a real advance.

Cons: Nothing. It does what I want.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little monitor

Pros: Good clarity and color, small size, extremely light weight. Measures 14.5" x 9" x 1.5" without the stand.

Cons: Plastic surround could be better quality, viewing angles could be better (but knew this based on screen technology)

Other Thoughts: Needed a small wide screen monitor, less than 10" high, that did not use USB inputs and could be mounted. This is the ONLY monitor I could find on the market that fit the bill (Note to monitor manufacturers: not everyone wants a big monitor). The mount on the back, while not VESA compliant, can be made to work with a VESA mount with some small mods to the mount. The screw holes on the back basically line up as 100 x 75, i.e. 100mm wide apart, 75 mm high apart.
