Q: can you use with survelance camera?

Yes, you could. Just keep in mind that it only has a VGA input. Also, the screen is on the small size so if you're looking to split the screen for multiple cams, keep that in mind. The unit is very light. If does have a somewhat limited viewing angle.

Q: Will it work with windows 7?

of course it will work with windows 7 or any other desktop/laptop system. but unless you are really looking for a small and cheap monitor, do not buy. i my opinion, it was a disappointing purchase .

Q: is this monitor 12v or can it be made to run 12v ?

It comes with a power adaptor for 110v AC (or 220v as well), I don't have it with me so I can't look at it now so I don't know what voltage as for "could it be made to run on 12v" technically yes, I'm just not sure if it would be simple.

Q: Hello I would like to plug this screen into my laptop and the resolution on my laptop is 1280 x 700. Would it be ok? Thanks Stacey

I believe the monitor to be just fine. I won't try to talk about resolution for one very valid reason. I will be 80 in two weeks and I sometimes have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast. I wish I could be more help. W. A. Jones

Can anyone tell me the height of these monitors, from stand to top of the monitor frame? Need to fit them in a smaller space.  Thanks!

Mine measures just a bit more than 11" from desk surface to top surface of monitor. 11 1/4" height would be absolute minimum clearance needed.  The base is 6" from front to back, and the monitor is 14 3/4" straight across.

i do not recommend this monitor. it has poor contrast and brightness quality, it is light weight and fragile constructed. it is also smaller than it looks. this monitor might be good for a young computer learner but at a much lower price.

No, it only has a single VGA input, but I've been using it with a small unpowered HDMI to VGA converter (Newegg part# N82E16812400359) and it works perfectly.  The converter does add to the cost, but if you specifically want a small monitor, it serves that purpose well.

The power cord is actually a small brick. We use these in a solar powered environment, with DC rather than AC input. (We replace the power cord.) On the back of the monitor is says: 12v DC, 1.5 amps.
