3 out of 5 eggsHanns G HE245DPB not good with KVM

Pros: Good Quality Picture when working directly to PC
VGA port works as advertised crisp clean video

Cons: Had problems detecting DVI with my Linkskey KVM switch.
Connect directly to the PC worked OK, but not through the KVM. Probably a compatibility issue. Tried two of the same brand/type monitors and neither worked whereas the more expensive HannsG 27"" HDMI version worked flawlessly . Perhaps this monitor needs a monitor driver for Windows, but none available and relies on the Windows Generic Driver. In any event other monitors (Samsung and Dell) were OK with my config so I suspect the HannsG HE245DPB to be the problem.

Other Thoughts: This monitor is probably fine for a normal PC Monitor configuration, however if you have a advanced setup with multiple PCs/Monitors and KVM switches I'd stay away from this one.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor!

Pros: Easy to set up (it's a monitor, there's not much to it)
Decent settings interface.
Built in speakers
1920x1080 resolution is nice.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is a good monitor at this price point.
It's nice to have a set of speakers when external speakers aren't desired.

4 out of 5 eggsok for the price when theyre on sale

Pros: 1920 x 1080 is a decent size for a monitor.
Has speakers. The picture is sharp and colors are good.
26W, so low power consumption. Easy to use controls.

Cons: Doesn't include an HDMI cable. Not very bright. You have to sit in front of it just right to see the best image.
Tilt adjustment is poor and there's no height adjustment, so you might have to place it on top of a book or something to get the best view.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Prduct

Pros: Price, Size, Ease of setup.
Looks good.
Works.

Cons: 60Hz

Other Thoughts: Great monitor for a very low price.
Not sure why you would need anything more than this unless you need professional color reproduction or are a gamer.
This fits the needs of any casual user for less money than any other monitor in this size.

1 out of 5 eggsBlack hole pixels

Pros: Knowing not to buy this again.

Cons: Dead pixels on arrival and have to RMA. Pay for the return. Cost more than brick and mortar.

Other Thoughts: Too much risk involved. Cost too much to return.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Great reliability

Cons: The two bottom Vesa mounting points stripped themselves when putting them on a monitor arm. The top ones holding fine.

Other Thoughts: Have bought 8 of these monitors so far to replace aging monitors in our office. Highly recommended for work usage.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got them on sale to replace some older 24 inch screens I didn't want to ship across country. Good color, thin profile smaller bezel.

Cons: Not sure if the monitors are at fault or the vesa stand they are mounted too. But the bottom studs on both of the ones I purchased seem to have been pulled out about a 1/4th of an inch. But they were fairly cheap and the top studs are holding just fine.

Other Thoughts: Speakers are kinda weak, but its not really a con, and if you buy one of these you shouldn't be expecting amazing sound from the unit.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this brand

Pros: Image quality is superb on these.
Best of any LCD we have tried.
My GO2 brand for LCD

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: The stand is light weight, but we use articulating monitor stands so this is not an issue for us.
I have used many LCD's from this brand from 19" up.
They are my go2 brand for LCD.
I've had ZERO issues with the almost 2 dozen Hanns-G LCD's I've purchased.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Zero

Cons: These die in short order. This company uses the cheapest components available. (Capacitors)

Spend an extra $10 and get an Acer or better yet an Asus or Samsung

You have been warned

Other Thoughts: What a horrible company with even worse products

Every single one of the monitors I purchased from

Hanns-G, HannStar or I-Inc is dead..... ALL 20 of them!!!!!

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good value for price, reasonably bright. Color depth fine after minor tweaking

Cons: When turning off monitor (as opposed to fully unplugging), causes Windows to detect a device disconnect, resulting in my windows moving about.
