1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: It was cheap.

Cons: When I received it, it was DOA. Sent it to Westinghouse, but had to pay for shipping one way... it was expensive.
The display was too dark. I had to have the brightness setting jacked all the time.
The HDMI jack stopped working after a month.
It stopped turning on after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: "You get what you pay for." Lesson learned.

1 out of 5 eggsWestinghouse RMA

Pros: When it works, this monitor is great. It had a blob of dead pixels in one spot, but it was hardly visible most of the time.

Cons: It died during a two week period of non-use. It hadn't been on for two weeks while I was on vacation, and now I am suffering through the worlds worst RMA department. If you search around for Westinghouse RMA, you will quickly find that if your monitor goes bad, its gone for good.

Other Thoughts: Buying this monitor is a risk that is no longer worth taking with other monitors of equal price now available.

Stay away

5 out of 5 eggsGreat [Screen] 4 Money

Pros: Multiple Inputs, Nice Picture, Multi Input, Good Appearance, Lots of Ports, Crisp & Bright, Did I mention all the Inputs?!? Minimal Space, so this screens multi input is fantastic. Even better when Westinghouse sends that rebate check!

Cons: No Speakers, but really, who doesn't own at least a decent set of speakers these days. If you don't then stop reading and start shopping, Newegg has a Great selection of them! Slightly awkward to do screen adjustments, button placement isn't the best.

Other Thoughts: Computer, PS3, PS2, PSone, PSP, BaseStation w/DVD, VHS, DSL connected to it!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat picture with quirks

Pros: Great image I love 1920x1200 gaming on this. Plug n play on my 6800 and 7900gs using DVI-HDMI cable. Instantly worked right after installing drivers and playing with my preferred color and brightness settings. This thing just begs for a version 2.0 that fixes all the things that drive people crazy! If this display does get a version 2.0 it will be hard to say no to these.

Cons: I tried 2 MSI 9600GT's and 1 Palit 9600GT and image had bleeding colors and text that looked scaled. It took a tiny hack to get this monitor to work. Problem is that the 9600GT Nvidia vista driver refuses to acknowledge this display as anything other then a HDTV. Even when I specified in the Nvidia control panel. Took me a few weeks to find a solution! Fix details below:

Extract the latest Nvidia drivers (175.19) to c:\NVIDIA cancel the install once it starts up

Use notepad to open c:\NVIDIA\WinVista\175.19\nv_disp.inf

In the [nv_SoftwareDeviceSettings] section add the following:
HKR,, OverrideEdidFlags0, %REG_BINARY%, 5C,85,80,51,00,00,FF,FF,04,00,00,00,7E,01,00

Now uninstall the current nvidia driver and run c:\NVIDIA\WinVista\175.19\setup.exe

Other Thoughts: The display controls on the side are weird but once you use them enough you can grudingly get around pretty easy. A great monitor with some bugs and annoyances. Also the HDMI plug does get pretty hot so get a good DVI-HDMI cable. Like so many large companies Westinghouse support people are only interested in canned solutions to problems. Don't call Westinghouse unless you are a newbie to LCD's.

Thanks to newegg for putting up with my 9600gt RMA's! Maybe you can get Westinghouse to hook up with Nvidia on this problem. Apparently this isn't the only monitor to have such problems. Some LG's and HANNS-G have reportedly had this happen as well.

3 out of 5 eggsVery nice, but difficult problem

Pros: Excellent color and just outstanding sharpness. Truely a fine monitor or small TV (depending on your hookups).

Cons: After about 4 months the monitor would not power up at all. I used it as a secondary monitor because I use my 37" TV as my main.

Other Thoughts: Stay on Westinghouse's customer support. Call every couple days if you have to. I faxed them my receipt because they offer a 1 year warranty (manufacturer) and within about 2 weeks I got a confirmation number to take this item back to the store where I bought it and get it fixed at their expense!

1 out of 5 eggsYou'll spend more time with Customer Service than using the Monitor

Pros: Looked good while it was working.

Cons: After 6 months of having it, the screen went white, and could not reset. Westinghouse is EXTREMELY slow with customer service, and I had to pay to ship it myself. Plus, there are not standard size boxes for this kind of thing, making it very difficult to deal with. If you actually buy it, keep your box!

Other Thoughts: I got this when it first came out. I did not know about the reliability issues, but take these low ratings to heart! You could be next!

1 out of 5 eggs3rd one defective

Pros: Cheap, good picture while working

Cons: Hot, odd whine at most brightnesses, third RMA'ed to Westinghouse (aside: Westinghouse support is HORRIBLE), failure of all input jacks all three times

Other Thoughts: I will never purchase another Westinghouse device. Their support is non-existent. Once contact is made, good luck getting the item back. Please note that their 15 business days translates into 89 calendar days, evidently.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it... so far....

Pros: Lots of inputs ( I am using the component, Svideo and DSub). Screen is viewable from a wide angle, works as a wide screen monitor or a Hi Def video display, Looks nice. Price was great ($300), and there are no other monitors with this quality and these inputs at this price.

Cons: Setup buttons along the side are terrible
Sound is terrible
A remote for on/off/volume/input change would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: I got this monitor for use with software development, and as a 2nd HD display for my DISH HD receiver. It does both wonderfully. I bought mine at Sams with an extra 1 year warrant (two years altogether) after reading some reviews.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: Do not buy any Westinghouse products. They low price will be offset by the cost of shipping for warranty service. In 5 months I have had to return the monitor twice to the manufacturer. The problem is that the power supply to the unit breaks frequently. The $27.00 for shipping each time erases the money saved by buying a lower priced product. My advice is step up to a better, more reliable monitor.

Cons: see above - bad product

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor I've owned.

Pros: I bought this monitor down at the base BX and as soon as i plugged it in i decided that i needed another one. I have yet to get the second but it is on the list. The picture is fantastic from any angle, colors bright and accurate. I run it as my computer monitor, and my 'tv' for Xbox 360 and PS2! all without unplugging any cables. Just a push of a button to switch inputs and it's that easy.

Cons: I should have bought two at once while they were on sale at the BX.
