5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressive Flat Panel (HI-QUALITY)

Pros: I’m very impressed with this TN type monitor as it is inexpensive but retains qualities of a more expensive monitor. I would put this FP up against any of my other TN type monitors and it will be as good or better i.e., Samsung, ViewSonic, Sceptre, Acer, ASUS…. With this FP you have headroom in the controls, you not peaked to get it to look nice over driving the controls. Also the backlight is very even with little to no blooming in the corners which is typical with most other FP’s. I haven’t tested the reluctance yet, blurring, but the color and contrast is also very good and I like it every bit as much as my Sammy & ASUS FP’s. It is nice to have positive button controls instead of the touch garbage that is becoming popular these days and there placement on the right bottom corner the only issue I see is the button labels need to be more visible, they’re too dark to see. I was also impressed that there were NO dead or froze pixels.

Cons: There are 3 negatives with this monitor none of them are major problems or show stoppers: 1st) Speakers – speaker quality is pretty poor and could be better, my notebook has better speakers. Good 2in. speakers are not expensive and in the2-4w range nor are they big so there is no reason not to have better sounding speakers in a FP other than to save a couple of pennies, my ViewSonic FP’s speakers sound great for a FP but not these. Part of the problem is the poor design flaw in having the speaker’s fire out of the back of the FP when they could easily fire from the bottom front, this would make the biggest difference. 2nd) Display Aspect – It would be nice if this was a 16:10 instead of 16:9 the extra inch in height comes in very nice when surfing or doing graphical design. It seem this is a new trend in FP’s they can provide less flat Panel for the same price and increase their profit in a given monitor size. 3rd) As mentioned above the control buttons should be more visible so

Other Thoughts: This is a very impressive flat panel for the money and I would suggest it to most anyone, unless they need a workstation type panel of course, and will buy another one myself as needed. My first FP was bad it would display the input for about a second with a fuzzy-buzz and then go blank. This wasn’t due to resolution issues this was at BIOS or DOS screens so the FP was truly bad. The replacement like I’ve stated was perfect, works wonderfully. Unfortunately I didn’t buy this from New Egg I was about too but found it for the same price elsewhere but with free shipping so I saved $9 on shipping. Also nice about the other reseller was they paid for the return shipping on RMA’d unit.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Monitor

Pros: Works well, relatively user friendly interface, the price is unbeatable, the resolution and refresh rate are great, no dead or stuck pixels, nice size

Cons: Bad speakers, but if you wanted good speakers, you'd have to pay much more money for a TV. There is also NO AUDIO OUT! It is an audio in jack on the back, and you will not be able to hook up headphones or speakers directly from the monitor.

I am using the built-in speakers with my Xbox 360 for now, and the worst part is navigating the menus to turn the volume up or down.

Other Thoughts: Purchasing a monitor is always a big risk, regardless of how reputable a manufacturer is. The mailman could always throw your package into a wall. A pixel could be dead. etc... This is the risk we all take when buying from any dealer.

This monitor shipped in pristine condition. I've had it for over two weeks and it's been working perfectly. No ghosting when playing the 360, and works great as a computer monitor. I'm not really worried about EXACT color reproduction. That being said, I think the color looks good as well. This monitor is definitely a great deal.

Again, buying a monitor is risk, especially with all the retailers and their horrible Dead/Stuck pixel policies. If my monitor had shipped with dead pixels, I would've been upset. But it didn't. This monitor worked flawlessly out of the box, and as such, I have no problems with it.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: N/A

Cons: Product was dead on arrival. Called product tech support and was told it was my video card. After replacing the video card (and spending $50 I should have spent on a better monitor), I learned it was a problem with the monitor. Low quaility product, not worth even this low price.

Other Thoughts: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsSimply awesome.

Pros: This monitor is great, just got it today and it came with no dead pixels, which I was afraid of. The design is really sleek, the buttons are firm and the monitor just simply looks great and switches input devices fast. I played my Xbox on it and I can actually see things I never saw on my old TV. Outstanding.

Cons: The built-in speakers aren't that great, but that's a given with almost all monitors, so I didn't take an egg off for it.

Other Thoughts: It can attract fingerprints easily, just a warning.

Also, for some reason when I plug my external speakers into it, it is not working, although I hear this isn't a defect but a common technical issue that can be worked around. Need to do some research on this now.

Otherwise, this monitor is awesome. For the price I got it and it's size, this is an awesome deal for anyone looking to upgrade.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Display, Bad Unit

Pros: Clear Display, Many Adapters, Light Weight, Thin

Cons: One stuck pixel and I didnt get to open up the box for a month so I could not get it replaced

Other Thoughts: Other than the pixel, I am 100% happy, if newegg would have understood my situation, i would have bought another one, but oh well

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Screen

Pros: Very large viewing area. 23.6 inch sits perfectly on my computer desk. I placed Bose speakers on the sides so its almost home theater status. No issues installing. Came with all cables needed and extremely user friendly instructions on how to install the stand it took literally less then 10 seconds. Had it running in no time. Movies and games are simply excellent on this screen.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: For those of us in NY we can agree Newegg is among the best when it comes to shipping. I received my monitor the next day midday.
