5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Owned for more than a year and never been an issue. Works with Astound cable in the SF Bay Area. Totally worth buying compared to "renting" a cable modem from your service provider.

Cons: LED's are a little bright, but thats not a big deal.

5 out of 5 eggsInsane!

Pros: Easy to setup. BLAZING fast speeds. Comcast rated at 20MB for which I was getting 15MB at best with Linksys Cable Modem, with the Moto Modem I am running a solid 26MB! Absolutely fantastic modem.

Cons: NONE!

2 out of 5 eggsSames issues as everyone else

Pros: Worked well for many months

Cons: Same issues as everyone else. Loses connection, can't reconnect. Takes forever when it does. I haven't had a stable internet connection for more than a month now

Other Thoughts: Thankfully they stopped selling this thing. What a piece

5 out of 5 eggsworks great with Comcast in S. FL

Pros: Got this from another online vendor since New Egg is out of stock. Chose this over the the SB6121 because of the reported overheating issues with the "updated" version.

Went from a Linksys BEFCMU10 cable modem to this thing, and the speed difference is amazing. Comcast sent me the notice to upgrade in Dec/Jan, and I kept putting it off because the docsis 1.0 was still kinda working but lately it finally started crawling worse then a 28.8 modem.

I'm not really noticing a huge heat issue. Luckily the case has a nice size and plenty of holes in it which allows heat to dissipate properly.

If I remember correctly, Speakeasy.net speed tests came in about 20MB/s. I was able to download a 600+ MB file in under 20 min.

Cons: had to call Comcast and give them its MAC address
