1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: nice mouse, decent price. did not get it through newegg

Cons: way too sensitive. the slightest movement and the pointer moves three inches on the screen. I've already tweaked the settings and it still makes any kind of game play non existent.

2 out of 5 eggsLS1

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Shiny. This mouse might have the worst ergonomics of any mouse ever. The cleft placement and no real good way to grab it making it quite odd to hold. I experienced hand cramping and as for gaming I found myself just holding it with my thumb and pinking and sliding it around in my palm. It's quite an odd product for someone with large hand, but I believe that some of these issues should be relevant to people with average sized hands as well.

Other Thoughts: I love Logitech products, but this one is the stinker of all time and actually made me acknowledge the importance of ergonomics in a mouse. That has sent me on a mouse shopping spree, but I'm comfortable back to Logitech with the M500 though the G700 is in my cross-hairs.

3 out of 5 eggsA Good Mouse For The Price (Cont.)

Pros: (Cont.)

Cons: I forgot to add that the other reviews are correct in that scroll click (mouse button three) does not work. It stopped working soon after I purchased it and I forgot about it.

Other Thoughts: I've been using the mouse without scroll click for so long that I forgot it was a con. It was always a minor inconvenience to me. To someone who regularly uses mouse button three outside of gaming, however, it would be a major con. This review and my last should average out to about four eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsA Good Mouse For The Price

Pros: It's not too big and it's not too small (though it probably errs to the smaller side-I have moderately-sized hands). I like to rest my wrist when using a mouse and I can reach the end of this mouse when doing so. It's been smooth and has even gamed dependably (though not amazingly) for nearly two years. Some of its parameters can be adjusted using Logitech's setpoint software, most notably its key assignments, scrolling speed, and clicking speed.

Cons: It's not going to make your breakfast for you.

Other Thoughts: I actually bought mine from a certain near-omnipresent department store instead of Newegg. It's been close to two years and I'm just now getting the dreaded stuck left click of doom, so, while looking for a replacement mouse better-suited to gaming from Newegg, I thought I would leave this review.

For gaming, I set left and right scroll to "[" and "]" respectively in setpoint and I've been using them as extra soft-buttons for stuff like throwing grenades and melee-hitting in shooters and out of the way but commonly-used abilities in MMO's.

3 out of 5 eggsmouse is decent but middle click will fail

Pros: Been using one of these for about 1.5 years now. My criteria when searing for a mouse are: wired, laser, not overly large or heavy, no side buttons. This mouse meets all of these requirements.

Cons: As others have stated the middle click will fail under normal use. The wheel will continue to scroll but depressing the wheel for middle click will suddenly stop working. I had initially thought it must have been a browser or OS setting change due to the sudden and complete failure of middle clicking. However I used the xev program under Ubuntu which shows raw mouse input and nothing registers when middle-clicking now. Kind of a bummer since I use it daily for opening new browser tabs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat basic+ mouse

Pros: Works smoothly; on woodgrain desk, papers, pants leg, whatever. No mousepad needed. Buttons and scroll wheel are decisive. Has a tilt wheel.

Cons: None found yet.

Other Thoughts: As a basic mouse that is also suitable for games, it's going to be hard to beat this one. This is very similar to the LX3, which I also have and like. The construction quality isn't great, but this is a computer mouse, not a bolo, so it shouldn't be a problem.

1 out of 5 eggsMille button fails

Pros: Precise, good price, Mac compatible.

Cons: I have two of these. Both had the middle button fail. If the middle button is part of your regular workflow DO NOT BUY.

3 out of 5 eggsGood mouse

Pros: Good hand feel ( I have big hands but like small mice) Very accurate for gaming, stays clean on the bottom. Overall a pretty good mouse.

Cons: Only lasted 6 months.... Gonna try to get a new one but having trouble finding my paperwork. Cord has started to pull out of it. Had my last Logitech mouse for over a year and it was the cheapy 19.99 one from walmart. I paid 29.99 for this one at walmart 6 months ago and the price hasn't really dropped too much lol

Other Thoughts: looks kinda cool.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Feels solid, good tracking.

Cons: Feels small in the hand, kind of like using one of those travel mice. Default button configuration is weird, had to go reprogram it to be logical (scroll wheel click = open link in new tab, wheel tilt = forward/back).
