5 out of 5 eggsGREAT all around headset!

Pros: Great sound
Great mic quality
Great design
Very comfortable
Decently priced
Not good for some relationships. (read other thoughts below)

Cons: The ear padding does start to flake off after a good while, 2 years in my case. This can easily be short lived by just peeling the stuff off when it first starts to happen. (then you wont have to complain about it every day) and the padding under it is just as comfy.

The cord does not ever fully loose its zig zag pattern from being wrapped up during packaging.

Not good for some relationships. (read other thoughts below)

These things are not a big deal to me at all so not enough to take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: Nice long braided cord (It does for the most part, keep some of its shape from being wrapped in the packaging, a zig zag pattern but wasn't a huge deal and got better over time.

Programmable keys and volume control on the side.

Cancels sound out EXTREMELY well (ask my ex who would have to yell at me constantly.. maybe these led to our breakup.. hmm.. that would be a pro for sure so yes, I meant to make this a pro and con as some of you may actually like your lady)

Very comfortable to wear even for long periods of time after you get used to them being a little heavy.

The mic quality is very good, better than most all of the headsets in this price range.

Voice changers can be fun and used with the programmable keys on the side.

Sound is great over all but the bass got a little worse over time but most likely because of my torture I put them through.

The torture brings me to my next part. A lot of these reviews say they are made cheap in some of the parts. I can see how they COULD be but.. I have beat these things to death and back.

My daughter is about the same age as my pair is, she helped me out a good deal. I have dropped them, stepped on them, sat on them, spilled stuff on them, pretty much everything short of catching them on fire, and the only thing that happened with them is one wire came loose from the right one (after almost 3 years of abuse) which I fixed by opening it up.

I ended up accidentally breaking the piece everyone says breaks easy that connects the band to the ear parts, when putting it together again. That was easily fixed by some electrical tape and super glue.

These just died the other day due to my daughters evil angry cat, who decided to eat through the cord in 4 different spots..

I realized I forgot to review these earlier as I went to go purchase another set.

These were refurbished when I got them and shocked me on everything quality wise. I even shopped around a lot and I still would recommend these to anyone today as I am about to buy another pair.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat buy!!!!

Pros: Love this headset. I got it for $40 on a deal and so glad I got them.. My pair looks and feels new, could not tell you that they are refurbished and I doubt anyone could. I love the volume on the side of the headset it is so much easier to use instead of the inline controller on most headsets I have used. Not having the inline controller makes routing cords so much easier. The three different head straps is also a really nice feature. The audio is better then my Turtle Beach PX22 MLGs but I don't have much others to compare it with.

Cons: It is heavy, but I do not mind it anymore and am use to it. When the cord rubs up on anything I can hear it in the headphone and can be annoying at times.

Other Thoughts: The 7.1 simulated surround is great for movies and most games (some games just sounded better on stereo to me) but if you use Teamspeak the 7.1 will make everyone sound like they are in a hallway so when in teamspeak i only use stereo, i dont use skype so not sure if its the same. I don't really feel like this is a con because Im sure there might be a way to fix that. and even in stereo it gives me enough audio awareness in direction on CS:GO that it doesn't make a difference.
In the end i am very happy with this headset.

5 out of 5 eggsAll-around Good.

Pros: Clean.

Truely plug and play. (i haven't bothered going to the website for annoying software, yet.)

Volume knob is connected to Windows 8 onscreen volume. (One volume, Nice!)

When I quit a game onto a silent desktop. It's COMPLETELY SILENT. No hissing sound, even at maximum volume. (my ears love you)

Always fast delivery. 2 days even with regular 5-7 day shipping.

Super light. I barely notice them. I'm used to way heavier headphones.

I can wear them over Oculus Rift without them falling off. (usually in VR looking around, your headphones fall off. THESE DON'T!)

Cons: Smaller than I imagined. (but that's fine, they're LIGHT!)

Other Thoughts: I love them for the price. Newegg refurbished items NEVER fail me. Everything always looks brand new.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing headset!

Pros: 1. Braided cable is awesome. Nice and neat. Its also really long. Maybe 15 or so feet. Plenty of length for the average gamer. The connector where the braided cable connects to the headset is very sturdy so it coming loose or shorting out someday is very unlikely

2. The headset is not that heavy. I was sure when I unboxed it that it was gonna be heavy on my head after about 30 minutes but I wore it a few nights ago for almost 6 hours straight while playing TERA and I had no issues at all. ....I kinda have a big head my wife says so that might have something to do with it! :D :D

3. The 7.1 surround is kinda tricky depending what kinda application you are using. Certain games can use it just fine while others have little "bugs" when attempting to enable it. Just all depends on what you are doing and what the application or game is capable of doing. Just have to flick the switch that enables and disables on and off a few times to figure out if you should use it or not.

4. The adjustable headband is very sturdy and stays where you put it. its made of really good material also so it ain't cheap.

5.You ears fit fight inside perfectly so your ears won't squished by the pads. Love that.

6. The mic actually sounds amazing. I have a Blue Snowball mic that I use and my G35 mic is actually better IMHO. Very sturdy boom mic that is flexible and bendable. When you raise it back up it automatically mutes itself and shows a red light to confirm that it is muted.

7. The software for the headset is pretty straight forward. No confusing options or things like that. My Grandmother could set this up in under 5 minutes I am willing to bet. its very easy to configure.

8. Does a great job of cancelling the sound from outside the headphones so you only hear the headphones and not what's around your outside the headphones

9. This is a Logitech product, nuff said IMO. I love Logitech and have owned keyboards, sound systems, webcams, mice, and the list goes on and on. They are an amazing company

10. This is a refurbished product. That means something was wrong with it at one point. it was then fixed at an authorized Logitech repair center or by a Logitech authorized repair person and it passed a full quality control setting. The headsets are basically brand new.

11. I got them for $49.99 over on Newegg Flash the other week. No way I could have passed that up!!

Cons: None! .........Not that I could find anyway :)

Other Thoughts: So ya, people always think a refurbished product means they are more likely to break. Totally not true!! If anything they are LESS likely to break than a brand new pair IMO because a real human being who either works for Logitech or they are an authorized repairer by Logitech physically repairs the problem the headset had in the first place and then actually test the product to make sure it 100% functions. How much more better could you want?? :) :)

The price was great. I got mine for $49.99 over on Newegg Flash last week with free shipping. I couldn't resist and I needed a new pair of headphones.

Bottom line: If you can find these babies like I did for $49.99 GRAB THEM!!! I don't think I could own a different pair now after owning these puppies. these are just amamzing

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quality for a reburbished product.

Pros: Sound is excellent. Surround sound feature is especially neat. They fit fairly comfortably around my big ears and with glasses on with little to no pain or discomfort even after several hours of wear, which is the main reason I picked these over others. The large ear cups may seem bulky but it beats having ear pieces that squeeze your ears and gives you a headeache after only an hour of wear. I watched a 6 hour movie marathon with these on and had very little discomfort.

Cons: The mic is good but it's almost a little too sensitive. On group Skype calls with my friends they could often hear my sister screaming at her computer, in the same room as mine, while dying in Minecraft or could even hear the tv all the way in the livingroom. There's also some occasional sound feedback that I haven't been able to get rid of. Which may be one of the reasons this pair was sent back and refurbished.

The cord for these things is also insanely long. Nearly 10 ft, maybe longer. Thankfully, the Logitech engineers must have foreseen the possible aggravation of dealing with so much cord and included a velcro strap attached that you may wrap up the excess with. But even with nearly 6 feet of it wrapped up it still tends to be annoying and gets in the way. Unless you're jogging around your computer or doing aerobics while wearing these, 10+ feet seems like overkill.

Other Thoughts: Overall these were definitely worth the refurbished price. Except for a little sound feedback, (which is only noticeable on video calls) they work perfectly. Like I said, the mic is maybe even TOO good. Some people complained about getting a used/dirty pair. Guess I was one of the lucky ones. Just a little bit of dust but I carefully cleaned them anyway before using. I've had my pair for over a year and they're still working great.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyers beware

Pros: Great sounding headphones for the money.

Cons: Very poor build quality even when buying new.I had some in the past that broke so i decided to give the refurbished ones a try. They sent me a pair that was broke right where the cup meets the headband and somebody super-glued it all back together. There was a big hole with cracks and glue all over it.The speaker was barley attached to it.I called newegg and they are giving me my $ back.I cant believe they sent them out like that.It is one thing getting a product that was damaged in shipping but to have something somebody broke and super glued back together is unacceptable. they didn't even replace the little plastic cover that was broke,it was just filled with glue.

Other Thoughts: Be very cautions about buying these.I took the chance and i ended up sending them back the same day i got them. They do sound good but you WILL have to fix or deal with the breaking problem.

1 out of 5 eggsNot buying refurbished again.

Pros: Sounded ok, even with a little static in background. While they worked that is.

Cons: They no longer work. Device not found by it's software. Shows as advanced audio device in device manager. Checked with 2 pc's. No sounds, mic mute doesn't work. G1 button just makes the led blink.

Other Thoughts: Will be trying another model, not a refurbished one.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished Headset?!

Pros: Holding up well after use every day since November, its now Mid-March. Sounds is good enough, microphone works well also. I
have seen no signs of it breaking soon.

It is also pretty comfortable.

Cons: I don't care for the auto mute when the mic is all the way up.

Other Thoughts: I have a sort of big head, this headset is dealing well with it.
When they break I will hopefully remember to update this post with a longevity update.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished, but I cant tell!

Pros: I use mostly Logitech peripherals, so drivers simple to install, worked great with Logitech g510 keyboard, g700 mouse. Clear sound, fits great, love the 7.1. The braided cable is tough!

Cons: Would rather have had the volume control on the braided cable.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast Headphones

Pros: Padding all around is really nice. I feel like I'm putting a head suit on. Mic is good, buttons are convenient, and 7.1 audio seems worth it.

Cons: It's much heavier than I'm used to. Gave me headaches for two days even with the padding up top.

Other Thoughts: If you are on a $50 budget and like logitech look no further. Take the risk like I did with refurbished and save some dough. It did take me a bit to figure out how to "turn them on" It seems not to be so much just plug and play from my experience. I own a logitech mouse and keyboard so it auto came up in the default program. Comes with two headband pads.
I got this for $45 + $8 for 2 year warranty and I'm not regretting it.
