1 out of 5 eggsNot buying refurbished again.

Pros: Sounded ok, even with a little static in background. While they worked that is.

Cons: They no longer work. Device not found by it's software. Shows as advanced audio device in device manager. Checked with 2 pc's. No sounds, mic mute doesn't work. G1 button just makes the led blink.

Other Thoughts: Will be trying another model, not a refurbished one.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished Headset?!

Pros: Holding up well after use every day since November, its now Mid-March. Sounds is good enough, microphone works well also. I
have seen no signs of it breaking soon.

It is also pretty comfortable.

Cons: I don't care for the auto mute when the mic is all the way up.

Other Thoughts: I have a sort of big head, this headset is dealing well with it.
When they break I will hopefully remember to update this post with a longevity update.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished, but I cant tell!

Pros: I use mostly Logitech peripherals, so drivers simple to install, worked great with Logitech g510 keyboard, g700 mouse. Clear sound, fits great, love the 7.1. The braided cable is tough!

Cons: Would rather have had the volume control on the braided cable.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast Headphones

Pros: Padding all around is really nice. I feel like I'm putting a head suit on. Mic is good, buttons are convenient, and 7.1 audio seems worth it.

Cons: It's much heavier than I'm used to. Gave me headaches for two days even with the padding up top.

Other Thoughts: If you are on a $50 budget and like logitech look no further. Take the risk like I did with refurbished and save some dough. It did take me a bit to figure out how to "turn them on" It seems not to be so much just plug and play from my experience. I own a logitech mouse and keyboard so it auto came up in the default program. Comes with two headband pads.
I got this for $45 + $8 for 2 year warranty and I'm not regretting it.

1 out of 5 eggsDirty!

Pros: None regarding the headset itself.
Got NewEgg gift card to purchase something else.

Cons: Simply disgusting.
I'm not banging NewEgg because they don't refurb the items, but these were simply unacceptable.
All kinds of crud in the buttons.
The mic/boom looked like someone frequently ate while wearing them, and they must have screamed a lot causing food/crud to spray all over the mic/boom.
The ear cups would not stay in place because they were so worn out.

Other Thoughts: They were so gross I couldn't even bear to put them on my head, so I don't know if they worked or not.

This wasn't my first foray into Logitech refurbished and it isn't the first time I've been let down. I have tried to purchase refurb keyboards on 2 separate occasions, and both were dead out of the box AND were missing the unifying receiver.

However, I have purchased the M705 mouse refurbished and it was fantastic. It actually was refurbished, the only signs of wear were on the slide feet.

4 out of 5 eggspretty good headset

Pros: The quality on the headset is pretty good but the swivel points on the earcups seem filmsy. The surround sound is awesome, you can pinpoint lots of small things when playing. mic is good. padding is very soft. braided cable, USB. programmable buttons on side of left headphone.

Cons: The sterio sound on the headset is not as good as I thought. It it not that well for music. It came a bit dirty.
Cable wasn't at its best when I got it.

Other Thoughts: Pretty good headset for being refurbished. But, the cleaning could be a bit more better.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive Awesome Headphones!

Pros: You know when you've warn headphones too long and they make your ears hurt, these are not like that. Unless you have abnormally large ears (they've gotta be huge) you will experience no pain at all after wearing these for hours. The sound is great, so is the mike and the programmable G keys are awesome. I bought a pair of these for 100$ some years ago. I cant imagine refurbished ones are all that different. The pair ive had now has lasted me over 3 years, so I think its safe to say they are well made. The cord on them is extremely long with some outer coating for protection. It wont break or wear down easily. These are really, in my opinion, as a Logitech fan, the best set of gaming headphones one can buy. There may be some better sets out there,, costing 100 or 200$, but theres nothing that will beat these at 45$ I promise you that.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Get em! Completely worth it! Nothing will be better for 45$

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Great mic clarity/volume.
Easy controls on exterior of headset.
Easily adjustable size.
Swappable cushions for better comfort.
Audio quality was exactly what I hoped it would be.

Cons: Somebody else might have had their dirty mitts on them before they came into my life and became mine all mine.

Other Thoughts: I was really hesitating about this purchase with the reviews as scattered as they are. Some had great experiences, some not so much. In the end, I paid a little over 1/3 of what they're retailing for new. Not only did I buy these, I shrugged off an extra 1yr extended plan as being no big deal to guarantee me a hassle-free year.

And... they delivered. It showed up in 2 days despite standard shipping. Everything was in the box (not in it's original packaging, as it is after all a refurb) and functional. I got compliments on my mic quality, I have enjoyed music and game audio more with these than my last Turtle Beach headset which cost me just shy of twice as much.

Also... I love braided cables. I have two kids and three cats. Braided is the only way to go when life happens.

Buy this headset. Get it replaced if you get a tough break the first time, and accept that you paid nearly nothing for them while you wait for the 2nd set to come to the rescue.

If it hurts your neck, go hit the gym. Seriously.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headphones!

Pros: Very sturdy, slick design, convenient controls on the outside of the ear piece. I also love the light indicator on the mic so you can tell if it's muted or not.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: It's tough to find good headsets for $50 or less, but these pass every test!

2 out of 5 eggsSounds good, but hurts!

Pros: Sounds much better than el cheapos.

Software seems pretty decent.

Emulated 7.1 is better than nothing.

Cons: Hurts like heck! It's just heavy and incredibly uncomfortable to wear - ears hurt and my neck aches after just setting it up and testing in a couple games and music, no matter how I adjust it.

Got some cracking/popping/static when games init sound/switch tracks or similar.

Surround effect is...minimal. No better, possibly worse than I was getting with a cheapie headset and the free razr surround emulation.

Apparently it cause The Witcher 2 to crash to desktop - at least it's never done it before.

Other Thoughts: Since it's a refurb, NewEgg says it's not eligible for a refund. :( My fault for not checking that I guess, but now I have to find someone with a neck made of steel and fifty bucks...

(Also it was missing one of the head bands, and one head band was kinda deformed looking. Not a huge deal, but...)
