Pros: First off, it's a mouse, and basic mainstay of a mouse. Just a mouse. Nothing that will speak to you, tell you the time, allow you to click 7 different buttons all at once to make someone blow up.
It tracks wonderfully, picks up smoothly and never (in any of my instances) skips. The bottom illuminates red, which is convenient on though late nights where you scrambled in shambles to the dim lit computer room. The wheel is quite and responsive, not noisy like most I've encountered. The buttons click evenly and satisfyingly. Plugs right into USB and is detected automatically (in most cases)
Cons: There were not enough packaging peanuts packaged with this. I am thoroughly disappointed newegg! Oh sure there's enough to "protect", but is there enough to swim in?! I think not....pshhh....cheap stakes.
Other Thoughts: If you need a basic mouse with basic functions, nothing to rule your life, or cause you to conform to what it wants YOU to do... get this mouse. Cheap, functional, black, and rather sexy.

The Mouse is better than Windows XP

Pros: I have owned one version or another of these style of Microsoft 3 Wheel Optical Mouse since, well the day they were released. I do allot of gaming, mostly MMORPG's like World of Warcraft. This thing hits the marks time and time again. I have large hands, and it feels just perfect for me. I would have to say other than Windows XP Pro being released, this is the best thing Microsoft has made. With the ability to configure the sensitivity and scroll rate in the standard Mouse options in your control panel, no need for added software to worry about additional input lag. This is absolutely the best mouse you can buy for the $0.01 - $30.00 price range.
Cons: It doesn't play WoW for me.
Other Thoughts: Make sure to adjust the mouse settings in your start/control panel/mouse options to configure this for your play or usage style. The default factory settings are great and all. But tweaking them just a little does make a difference in at least for me in my 25man and 40man, and Arena Content.

Wheel Mouse Optical

Pros: It works just like a wheel mouse should.
Cons: Not a real strong con, but the drivers on the supplied CD would not install on my new Inspiron 1545 laptop with 64-bit Win 7 Home Professional. There is a known incompatibility issue with Win 7 and Vista and this mouse.
This was only a minor inconvenience since Win 7 detected the problem and went to the Microsoft website right away. The correct drivers drivers were easily selected, downloaded, and installed within a minute or two.
Other Thoughts: As always, great prices and delivery from Newegg.
