1 out of 5 eggsI can see why it's discontinued

Pros: Gives you something to rage about

Cons: Microphone died 3 times now. RMA is useless it always eventually dies. Done with this poopoo.

Other Thoughts: I thought Sennheiser was supposed to be a good brand. What a piece of junk.

4 out of 5 eggsGood sound

Pros: Great price for Sennheisers, sound is good without going up to the 555 or 558s. Mic quality is excellent vs a lot of other headsets including most of the steelseries ive found. Comfortable.

Cons: They are a bit loose, ive found a few times having to look down and they almost slip off, i wish there was a way to actually make them smaller, the 555 actually fit around your ear giving them a nice secure hold on your head but the 161 sit on top of your ears so they dont secure themselfs. Not a TON of bass but still good sound.

Other Thoughts: Id say a great gaming headset minus the lengthwise size of these a great headset overall. Only downfalls are the quality of the bass and them sometimes wanting to fall off your head.

5 out of 5 eggsSIMPLY THE BEST!!!

Pros: I have owned several headsets, several brands and these are the best I have ever owned, the sound is rich, the clarity of the mic is perfect, that's what other gamers tell me when we're in the middle of a battle that I sound as if I was right next to them, couldn't be happier, also it does not matter how long I wear them, they're so light you forget you're wearing them, you just can't get tired period.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The 3D sound in them makes you aware of your sorroundings in the game, I have been accused of hacking the game just cause I know when people are coming to me and I turn around and shoot them, but it's the freaking heatset it let's you listen the direction from where they're coming or shooting is fantastic. =)

5 out of 5 eggsBest phones I have ever owned.

Pros: The sound...what else? These phones produce very accurate sound for their price. Bass is surprisingly good for a set of headphones. Not muddy or boomy...very clean and accurate. I listen to them several hours a day...I like to listen to music while I am block out outside distractions. I can keep the volume very low and still hear all of the subtleties in the music...and I don’t have any listening “fatigue”. I have an excellent sound card...which I believe these headphones exploit quite well.

I am also a gamer…and I can now hear the subtle details in the audio that I have never heard before. Sound is much more localized…an enemy behind you sounds like he is behind you, or to the left, or to the right, etc. An excellent pair, I would buy again.

Cons: I wish the volume control was graduated/marked for better reference. Not the most comfortable pair I have owned. Not heavy...they just don't fit my head as well as my last pair of Plantronics. However, the Plantronics are currently collecting dust.

4 out of 5 eggsMost Comfortable Headset Ever

Pros: They sound great for <$100 headphones.
Open ear design so you can still hear people talking to you.
They're comfortable, I can wear them for 10-12 hours listening to music and not get a headache or sore earlobes.

Cons: The highs are a bit muted if they get too forward on your head.
The cord is skinny and cheap compared to my Grados, I'm worried about breaking it.
Not for people with small heads.
Not built for traveling -- don't try to take them with you, get a smaller headset for the road

Other Thoughts: If I happened to break them I'd definitely buy another set. Being open ear, they might not be the best gaming headset ever but they're perfect for listening to music during long coding sessions, and they hold up gaming pretty well as long as your space is quiet.

3 out of 5 eggsgood, but trouble staying on head

Pros: Very comfortable, I can wear these for hours with no trouble.
Cable is super long
Sound is good. Doesn't sound amazing but you know I'm not sure what amazing sounds like... Can't really quantify sound quality.
Mic quality is good too
Love the mute button on the cable
Seems to be built well (see below)

Cons: Number one con that realllly annoys me is that they just won't stay on when you tilt your head a bit. They stay on comfortably and stable when you just sit there and listen to music, play, or work. But if you drop something on the floor or need to pick something up they just slip right off when you bend over. At first it wasn't a big deal but always leave stuff I need on the floor near the computer and I have to remove the headphones or hold on to them when I need to grab something. Luckily they seem to be build very well and even though I've dropped them hundreds of times they still work

Other Thoughts: Wish the mic boom was removable. I would like to wear these about and around but I'm conscious about the mic being there and looking weird. So I just leave this at my computer

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but damage in package

Pros: good clean sound even at full volume. mic worked great. loved the inline volume control.

Cons: wires disconnected at the stress relief where the mic and headphone jacks split, however Sennheiser is replacing them free of charge. weren't that loud and not a lot of bass. got them on clearance somewhere else for 49.96

Other Thoughts: good headset, but lacking low end bass for added effects. playing games like L4D2 was good because of the accuracy of the sound placement, but it was lacking because of the non existent low end for special effects like grenades and pipe bombs and cut scene explosions. all in all, good headset, maybe i just got a lemon and my replacement will be better.
