5 out of 5 eggsVery good Headset

Pros: Very Comfortable and light on the head and ears.
They are tough....even after i dropped a 80lb marble statue on them...they still worked even tho some of the plastic broke....they kept on working taped together for about 4 years lol.
Surprisingly good sound quality as well from these with an on board wired in sound card in case u don't have one or an inferior one
Very good mic pick up and sound quality as well

Cons: i dont have a lifetime supply of them....which would probably only require like 3 pairs in this case lol

Other Thoughts: only thing would be preference if u like isolation and earcups....well these are on-ear headphones so just remember that altho they are the most comfortable on-ear-headphones i have ever worn

3 out of 5 eggsDecent sound, horrible durability/reliability

Pros: *Good sound, great mic clarity.

*Very comfortable in extended gaming sessions.

Cons: *Long cord gets tangled easily - the headset does include a plastic "cable spindle", but it's more of a nuisance than a help most of the time.

*Cords are not very robust (pretty thin); I'm always afraid of breaking them.

*Mic stopped working completely after 5 months.

Other Thoughts: I've owned several Sennheiser products in the past (old-fashioned headphones) and I've been extremely happy with all of them. So when the time came for a headset, I got these ones based on positive reviews. I needed a headset that included a USB sound card because I'm a Mac user and Apple thinks that we don't need analog mic-level inputs.

The sound is good, but not quite up to par with some of my older cans from Sennheiser and Grado. But then again, I wasn't expecting the world, either. I certainly didn't want to spend $300+ on an uber high-end headset...

The mic sounded great - very clear and intelligible - up until it stopped working completely, all of a sudden. This headset has not been physically abused AT ALL. I never dropped it or tugged on its cords excessively. At first I thought that perhaps the USB sound card dongle might have burned out, but I plugged an old Logitech desktop mic into it and it worked fine.

Disappointing, but Sennheiser is fixing them under warranty.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the price

Pros: Brand name.

Cons: Uncomfortable to wear, but I didn't wear it for long so maybe it will break in. I immediately noticed the sound quality is not as good as my Plantronics DSP-500, both from the headset and microphone. If you have never had a really good sounding headset, you might be satisfied with these. These headphones should be about half the price they currently are to represent a decent value.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks good

Pros: Very good sound quality, good durability. plenty of cord length. Good comfort level for long term use.

Cons: A little loose fitting, but acceptable. The mic boom will slip down occasionally.

Other Thoughts: This is an upscale product. It is not budget priced, but is worth the cost if you are a serious gamer.

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost too amazing

Pros: Wonderful set of headphones giving phenomenal sound. Just what you would expect from sennheiser.

Cons: This may be nit picking but comfort is a con. The ear pieces are not large enough to cover the ear so they create some discomfort after several hours of use.

Other Thoughts: Look if you want the perfect headphones you'll need to jump up a few price points. At their current tier of 100 - 150 I challenge you to find a better set of headphones. The sound is great, the built in sound card for 3d sound is great. The option of using the USB or line in/out cords is also nice. Simply a superior product from a company known for great studio equipment.

4 out of 5 eggsCrisp, clear sound!

Pros: I bought these at an offline store because I am some what picky of my headsets and would like to return them hassle free if they did not meet my expectations. First thing I did was pop it into the Aux port to find out the sound was bad (I use onboard sound) so next I tried out the usb sound card plug in. Sound was a lot better after adjusting the bass, treble and other settings. These headphones make listening to music a joy. I do find the bass lacking as in not deep enough, but they are done right.

For gaming these are also great but I found them too loose on the sides. The mic is amazing and these sit VERY comfortably on your head for hours. They don't squeeze hard on the skull or ears at all. "Just right" and sound clarity is what this headset screams for me. In the end I returned them though for various small reasons that add up but do not match the price of the headset imo.

Cons: Bass lacks. I like deep bass for certain applications. No detachable mic is a minus because I would love to use these for music at school without looking like some kind of dork. No light for mic to indicate if it's on or off but it's really no big deal.

These are not noise cancelling as I could hear everything going on in my house even though I have these cranked up. It's distracting to my gaming. They are also too loose for what I thought I had a big head. If they were tighter the sound would closer to the ear, be a bit louder and sound better. I tested it.

No fun programs to mess with like other "gaming" headsets. The wires are really skinny and seem like they could snap.

Other Thoughts: These seem overpriced for what you get. I suggest having a good sound card to really take advantage of these. Overall a really great set but should be cheaper.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Item

Pros: Great Item, clarity is top notch and using Mic while gaming sounds crisp and clear, according to people on the other line. Very comfortable and light on the head. Have worn for about 3 hours and still feels good. I wear glasses and does not seem to interfere much, if at all.

Cons: The price will generally reflect such a top notch item. As such, might be out of the price range compared to other but still worth it in my opinion. The plastic at first touch/glance seems to be a little cheap.

Other Thoughts: Using the USB dongle and works great! Had a low volume problem but just adjusted the settings in Windows 7. Using Windows 7 64-bit and had no problems installing the usb and working right away.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This headset has by far the best sound quality of any of the ones I have used. The USB adapter was great while it worked (see other thoughts). The cord hasn't pulled out of any of the connections (i.e. where it attaches to the headset), which has been a huge problem for me in the past, before this headset I had to get a new one every two or three months. The inline volume control/mute is also nice for when I want to turn down my sound or if I need to mute my mic in a game without having to minimize or change it in the in-game options.

Cons: The cable is a little too long and sometimes get stuck in the wheels of my computer chair, I should have kept the thing it was wrapped around. Also, either the headset has stretched or my head has shrunk, because now, when I bend over to pick something up or look down to find the inline volume/mute it falls off of my head, although since I've had it for over a year I guess that's to be expected.

Other Thoughts: The USB adapter/sound card quit working after about 10 months, but I think that may have been a problem on my end as I've had trouble with my USB ports lately. The headset still works great with the 3.5mm plugs though, so it's not a huge problem.
