The DCT HP-259 headset is a solid choice for the gamer on a budget. The circumaural design gently surrounds the ear and increases the immersion experience while blocking out distractions. Volume can be adjusted by an inline control. The flexible microphone stays where you put it so you can be sure that your team hears everything you have to say.
Pros: Price, (face it, it's not going to get much cheaper than this). Mic sounds ok, (but not great). Comfortable- these may make you look ridiculous wearing them, but the huge circumaural cushioned pads are definitely awesome for extended periods of use.
Cons: Ugly (wood-grain plastic?? plus they are ginormous). Break after a year or so (But you had to expect this for the price you paid). Sound quality (these are one of the worst sounding headphones I've tried in a long time).
Other Thoughts: If you are looking to get a very comfortable headset that just plain works at a cheap price, then this is the one to get. If you care about how you look while wearing them, if you have any intention of using these for music or if you care at all about sound quality, then these are NOT for you.

Need More Fake Wood Headphones!
Reviewed By: PhilBo on 2/23/2007
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I have four kids who have beat up my expensive ones. I have been through two of these and they both have worked great. Comfortable and the mic works just fine in VOIP in multiplayer games. For the price, there is no other choice.
Cons: Not 100% fake wood pattern, some plain old black plastic used. Also, on my first pair the boom was only held in with a small dab of glue. My two year old was stronger than the glue. The second pair had a small screw to hold it in as well.
Other Thoughts: Don't think...just buy. For the cost, if you don't like them, they are cheaper than a pizza. Chances are you'll love what you get for the cost.

Cons: sound is so so no static thou, cabel and connectors thin and weak, waiting for them to give out or break off like in most of my prev headsets.
Other Thoughts: got this for the mother-in law so she would stay away from my expensive shiatz but seems wife to a liking to them for voip use. oh well

Fabulous value
Reviewed By: Mang on 1/15/2010
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Cheapest headset around. Comes with Microphone. Reasonable sound quality. Comfortable, either on your head or just around your neck, fake plastic-leather padding feels nice.
Cons: Becomes uncomfortable after wearing for extended periods of time, like the vast majority of headsets. One of the earphone plastic-leather covers came off after about 3 weeks of use, fairly easy to place back onto the earphone, though it seems kind of flimsy.
Other Thoughts: It was $7 a pair, buy 10 of them and you're set for years. I only bought 2, the first pair still works fine after a month.
