4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse...for 2 years

Pros: *Weights for adjusting feel of movement
*Smooth wheel scrolling, and sturdy, with comfy rubber ridges for no slip
*Profiles for DPI - Button for changing between them
*Separate DPI switch to adjust on the fly
*Plenty of buttons for most games and useful windows / browser functions
*Braided cord is much more durable and wont crack like the rest of the cheesy plastic ones
*Lighting tells which DPI profile is active

Cons: *Dead at 2 years, probably on the dot (fishy?)
*Tilt-wheel is far too tight to be useful
*Won't tuck me into bed

Other Thoughts: Probably my favorite mouse so far, but the fact that such an expensive mouse died nearly 2 years after I got it is disconcerting.
My old Logitech MouseMan+ PS/2 is STILL working flawlessly after all these years (1998?), and is currently its replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsexcellent mouse

Pros: The adjustable track speed right on the mouse is very useful in game. changing the color of the gigabyte light is useless, but makes me smile.

Cons: had to install and uninstall the drivers a few times for the Mouse to work correctly. not sure why but it ended up working just fine. It may have been something i was doing but i dont think so.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Customer Service

Pros: This mouse was very comfortable for me to use and dpi changing on the fly is super nice because I play a lot of different games at a lot of different sensitivities

Cons: for some reason after about 4 months of careful usage, the mouse would randomly disconnect from my pc, so I RMA'd and the next one they sent me had buttons that felt like they had marshmellows under them so I had to send that one back too!

Other Thoughts: Well the 2nd RMA was on them, and instead of sending me back the GM-M8000, they gave me a free GM-M8000 Extreme, which has 6000dpi, all the same features as the GM-M8000 + 2 profiles, and no issues! this was definitely a great gesture for having to endure all the trouble!

5 out of 5 eggsWoot!

Pros: Wow, I don't even know how gigabyte did it.

What a debut, well done Gigabyte, and well done Newegg for the low low price.

Top of the line gaming mouse right here in a combo deal with an equally amazing keyboard for a low price.

Beautiful stuff!

Cons: I really do wish the center gigabyte logo would stay solid, this blinking does get annoying.

2 out of 5 eggsOnce repaired, Twice dead.

Pros: Has a great feel.
A nice selection of programmable buttons.
Included software was easy to use.
Mouse cable is threaded instead of plastic.
Up to 4 profiles.
Can adjust DPI from the mouse.

Cons: Original mouse was dead on delivery.
4 months later the replacement mouse is also dead.

Other Thoughts: I spent a good deal of time looking for online reviews of this product online before buying. Everyone who used one seemed to enjoy it a great deal. So I jumped in.

The first mouse was dead when it arrived. It would light up when I plugged it in and then shut down. I tested on 3 different computers with the same results. Gigabyte tech support wanted me to run some more test by purchasing a 2nd hard-drive, re-installing windows, install the mouse drivers, and then plug the mouse in. I refused.

Newegg helped me out by replacing the mouse with a new one. Everything was working fine and we got several good months of gaming done till this morning. I wake my computer from sleep and the mouse is stone-cold dead. Tried 4 different USB ports and 2 different machines. I'll contact Gigabyte to see about a replacement but I dread to think what all they'll want me to do (build a 3rd machine perhaps) before the issue can be resolved.

5 out of 5 eggsnce scrool wheel & dpi change, but kill the lights!

Pros: **tilt wheel is an absolute plus! other gaming mice i see have more buttons, but no tilt wheel.
**dpi change is quick, easy, and conveniently placed. the 4 LEDs that show dpi settings are very useful indicator.
**scroll wheel has nice notched feel. i hate mice with the scroll wheel super smooth, that makes it hard to feel how much is scrolled
**right side of the mouse is ergonomic. But this mice was designed for rather large hands.
**slides very smoothly, so I maxed out the weights
**macro button edits are VERY handy, but must install the mouse s/w to edit

Cons: ** 4 LEDs for dpt level are rather bright. especially when all 4 are on.
**flashing gigabyte name is a walking advertisement and gets annoying. is this subliminal advertising? i still see the flashing gigabyte words when i sleep. please help!
**left side of the mouse is definitely NOT ergonomic. the sharp jagged edge design on right side is VERY noticeable and blistering on the ring finger.
**right profile button such a waste, should be programmable.

Other Thoughts: although this mouse has limited programmable buttons, the 3 profile changes are very quick. But the flashing gigabyte logo is annoying to the point I think I might have to open up the mouse and paint over everything but the letter "G", so that way can still tell which profile its on. The most annoying thing about this mouse is the sharp contour on your ring finger. design looks cool, but it is constantly stabbing at your ring finger. what happened to ergonomics with SMOOTH edges?

5 out of 5 eggsAwSoMe

Pros: -Shaped well for the right hand.
-Adjustable weight system
-4 dpi levels
-software is pretty good, allows you to customize each dpi level between 400 and 4000. you can select what each button does. allows for multiple profiles.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: not really a con but it is slightly smaller than id like but i also have large hands, bigger than my old mouse though. so its all good. well worth it.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year and counting!

Pros: I have had this mouse for a year now and game with it every day. My computer gets powered on when I wake up and it dose not get a rest until late in the afternoon. I have put many miles on this mouse and it's never missed a click.

Cons: The software is lackluster but functional.
It's not a Logitech?

Other Thoughts: Watch the light color when you start a game. Nothing is more annoying then trying to reload your M16 in the heat of battle and getting a screen shot instead :P

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: This it a fantastic mouse for the price. The on-the-fly DPI-changer is extremely useful to switch between scoped and regular vision in FPSs, and each of the four levels is able to set manually between 800 and 4000 dpi with the software.

Cons: The mouse is labeled as a 6 button mouse, which is true, but one of the buttons is used as a mouse profile changer and cannot be customized. 5 buttons is fine for me so that's not much of a problem.

Other Thoughts: Fits my hand well, and my hand doesn't slide or slip because of the rubber grip. I have used this mouse so much for the past year that I can see a dark spot on the left mouse button, and this mouse is running fine. No driver install was required for my mouse to run on Vista 32 bit, but if you want to use the 4-way mouse wheel as opposed to the normal up and down scrolling then you should install the drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse I've ever had.

Pros: - Cloth warped cord. Makes it harder to get tangled with other cords such as the keyboard cord.
- DPI adjustment is within easy reach. Doesn't get in the way either.
- Weights are really nice to have.
- Ability to change the color of the Gigabyte logo light. Color choices are: blue, red, and green.
- Replacement pads for under the mouse.

Cons: Nothing that bothers me.
