I am not sure if he means the texture or the movement, if it is the texture, then it is smooth, but movement is mechinical in nature as it notches but not loud, just a smooth notching.

Question 2

Does this mouse have tilt wheel (aka sideways scrolling)?

It appears as though it does not, but I noticed that Newegg's description of the G500-s also does not specify tilt wheel; yet I know that one does have it. So I wanted to make sure about this one.

Well I don't find this mouse has a tilt wheel. But it is good and worth its price. This mouse is really BIG?bigger than g500. The pointing is pretty precise. At last, i do not know if this happens to me, but you may find the right button REALLY hard to press down at first, it requires too much force from your mid finger, you will adapt it after a few days.

Question 3

Does this mouse come with software to program the forward/back buttons to any keystroke you like? (Or can you program them in Battlefield 4 to be want you want?)

I've only had the mouse a few days, but, as far as I can tell, there is no included or available software to set the buttons to specific keystrokes. Having said that, 5-button mouses have been around long enough that most applications, including the operating system shell, recognize the inputs as mouse-3, and mouse-4 (the buttons are enumerated beginning with mouse-0). Many games and applications allow you to assign a custom function to these buttons. However, as I do not/have not played BF4, I cannot say whether it, specifically, provides this level of customization.

All this aside, I am really enjoying my purchase thus far. Great mouse for the price -- so long as it can withstand my abuse over the long haul.

Question 4

Is there any way to disable the DPI light? It can be quite distracting in the dark.

Just clip the wire running into the front of the mouse. That should do it. You might also put a piece of tape over the light. Coloring over the lights with a permanent marker or fingernail polish would also prevent light from illuminating. These are all very complex processes that you may need to consult a professional light blocker to assist you with.

lightly notched. The only real complaint i have is the mouse is very light weight with a heavy stiff cord. no way to add weight. i like a heaver mouse

I've read in some reviews this mouse seams big for some people. I'll be switching from a razer deathadder. If anyone has used both of these mice. How would you compare these two mice in size and hand comfort ? Thanks.

I never had a Death adder although I did own a RAZER Diamondback I'm pretty sure they are around the same size.While this mouse is a little larger and takes a little getting used to its not overly large. I'm happy with this mouse.
