1 out of 5 eggsWarranty is worthless

Pros: -Very light
-Great tracking sensor, perfect for fps.
-Looks nice

Cons: -Worthless warranty.
-Cheaply made
-Will break in 6 months.

My left button start getting wobbly after a month or two of heavy usage. Finally the one time I was at a friends place and it fell of the table onto a hardwood floor and the button was goner.

I contact razer for RMA since the mouse is still under warranty. Guess what?

Apparently Razer doesn't bother replacing your mouse if it breaks. Thanks guys, why bother telling people that you have warranty if you don't plan on actually honoring it.

Other Thoughts: Never buy razer unless you feel like spending hundres a year replacing broken mice.

Go with Logitech, their mice are built rock solid and Logitech honors their warranty all the time. Oh and Logitech has 3 year warranty instead of Razer 2 year. Not that Razer ever actually honors their warranty agreement.

1 out of 5 eggspoor scroll wheel quality

Pros: well shaped and comfortable mouse

Cons: The quality is poor. Owned this mouse for about 3-4 months, after the first month the scroll wheel started acting up and scrolling in random directions. After the 3rd month it started showing wear around the finger area. Customer support wants you to ship the mouse back and pay for shipping. Not worth the hassle and money in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame to ruin a nice mouse with poor quality like this.

Manufacturer Response:

Sorry to hear that you're unhappy about our RMA policies. Please forward any other complaints you have to feedback@razerzone.com and we'll try to assist you as best we can.

Thank you for understanding.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, but dies fast

Pros: Nice mouse, works ad high DPI as advertised.
Very addictive - once you installed proper driver and adjusted settings (double click speed, etc ) you would not feel comfortable with other mice.

Macro work on hardware level so works in any game.

Cons: I had 3 mice ( 2 DeathAdder) from Razor. Each of them started double/tripple clicking on left mouse button click in slightly more than 1 year.
This is already a pattern. I would not expect this from costly high end mouse.
For first DeathAdder I bought extra warranty which allowed me to replace it for free.
I've used various mice from very cheap to very expensive and all of them worked for at least 3 years except Razor's.

Other Thoughts: Even though it is perfect mouse while it lasts,
buy it only if you are ready to replace it in one year.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi-

No need to purchase an extended warranty. The mouse comes with a two year manufacturer's warranty. In the future, please don't hesitate to contact us at http://razersupport.com/contact-us or by calling 1-888-697-2037.

Thank you for understanding.

5 out of 5 eggsMX518 Replacement, Pretty Happy

Pros: Comfortable. Ergonomic, my hand, fingers, or wrist don't hurt after a few hours of gaming. I don't hold the mouse all the way forward, which makes it a little less comfortable, but that's my fault. The Divoted left and right click buttons are great, as are the side buttons, as I often assign these middle click for Push-To-Talk applications. The rubberized top has a nice feel, although the sides are smooth / glossly plastic that I don't really care for. Did I mention it looks great? I purchased the regular version (not the black edition) that glows blue, and I turned off the glowing deathadder symbol. It looks legit.

The Synapse program is great, rivaling Logitech's SetPoint, and is pretty cool to have your settings uploaded to a cloud, although I'll probably never use that feature.

The 7 foot cord is great for my setup at school. It's braided, but I couldn't care less, really. I just loathe wireless mice, and the cord is rather light so it isn't constantly pulling my mouse towards the far side of the desk.

Cons: Like I stated above, I don't really care for the glossy sides. Oh. I had to restart my pc after installing the drivers.. That's about it, really.

Other Thoughts: Just picked this up from a local retail store on sale for $47.99 after my 5-6 year old MX518 finally died (RIP). The price is a little steep for a mouse, but I think it's worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsNow I know why it's called a DEATH adder.

Pros: Comfortable, looks good, performs well. Flexible mouse cord is great!
Again, one of the most comfortable mice I've used and buttons are right where they should be.

Cons: 1st one - thumb button pushed in after ~4wks, making it unclickable.
2nd one - thumb button pushed in after ~2wks.
Not up to gaming quality standards.

Other Thoughts: Never had any mouse fail this often. My MX518 is 5+yrs old and I use it for backup when this mouse fails.
I don't care for the smooth plastic on the sides, I'd prefer this to be rubberized like the top.
* If you get this mouse, make sure to get the best warranty they offer.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Mouse!!

Pros: Great mouse! Very solid! Never had any issues with it and love the feel and fit's my game play style very well.

Cons: none that I know of

Other Thoughts: To Smapty on the black edition LOL I have to laugh as he just does not get it. As most of us already know.. it's called the "Black Edition" because there is no mouse wheel or logo glow.. it's blacked out.. has nothing to do with the actual color of the mouse .. nearly all razer products are black anyway LOL

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a little while

Pros: -smooth
-fits hand well
-cool glow

Cons: -Left click broke after ~4 months. Started to double and triple click so when playing any FPS games, and I would find myself giving away my position easily because I could not stop shooting or regain control of the recoil.

-Mouse wheel broke after ~6 months, and if I so much as touch it my screen will start to shake violently up and down scrolling. In any FPS I found myself switching weapons uncontrollably.

Other Thoughts: Before the buttons broke I really loved this mouse but RAZER products don't seem to last at all so maybe consider another brand. I know all the Invite/professional gamers like RAZER but they get new gear all the time and don't have to deal with the longevity issues associated with the brand. I personally won't buy another RAZER product from my experience and all the stories I read from others.

4 out of 5 eggsI want my Abyssus Back

Pros: Quality mouse with a great track record over many years.

Cons: Too Big for my comfort.

Other Thoughts: I owned a Razer Abyssus for about 2-3 years and when the right button stopped working i went looking to replace it with another Abyssus. Well, this mouse was on sale for the same price as my old one plus it has 5 buttons where the Abyssus has 3 (never been a problem for me). So i decided to give it a shot. I Want My old Mouse Back! this one is just too dang big for my medium sized hands, I suppose i've become too fond of my Abyssus...

2 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, short shelf life

Pros: Fantastic feeling mouse out of the box, one of the more comfortable palm grip mice I've ever used. Synapse software is well done and easy to use.

Cons: The rubber coating on the surface started to peel under the palm less than three months in, giving it a gritty and somewhat unpleasant feel in contact spots. Razer's reputation for product quality isn't the greatest so I knew I was taking a bit of a gamble with this product but I am still very disappointed that it started to deteriorate so quickly.

Other Thoughts: I want to love this product but I'm not sure I'll be able to talk myself into another one (let alone an alternative Razer product) given my experience. You don't get nearly enough quality for the money.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your Deathadder. Please contact our Customer Support team at http://razersupport.com/email and we'll be sure to help you out.

Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: After 3 years of my previous deathadder 3g that finally died (the mouse wheel lost tension and stopped functioning) i updated to this all matte black version and am very satisfied. I like the fact that's there's no glossy plastic to attract fingerprints like the normal deathadder. Long braided cable with gold connections ensures quality. The razer software allows you to set custom profiles that are easy to switch through.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Use this for gaming and everyday computing.
