5 out of 5 eggsLOVE EMM

Pros: Great sound i would tell everyone to get a pair.
very nice feel on my head an ears.

Cons: Not Neweggs problem but took purolator 2 extra days to find my house but besides that it was at there depo on time.

Other Thoughts: It Razer man get what you pay for :D

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: - Tons of bass
- Mic can be pushed into the headset and tucked away for use as headphones
- Green :D
- Cord can be split up and used solely as a headphone jack

Cons: - Overall SQL is pretty mediocre
- Mic sounds BAD. No seriously, I had the volume on 100, and 9/10 people in games or on skype would say things like "your mic sounds terrible" "it's really muffled" "it sounds like you're mumbling" "I can hear your music from your headphones" "I can't understand you". I then upped the last thing I could in sound settings, adding a 10dB boost to it (+50dB), and now people can hear me, but it still sounds horrible
- I hear white noise with it plugged in when no audio is playing
- The microphone feeds back into the headphones, which is really annoying because if I yell into my mic, it clips IN MY EAR (no I am not "listening" to it in windows)

Other Thoughts: If I cough up 80 dollars for a headset, I expect the microphone to be at least DECENT, if not good. It's neither. It sounds like doodoo. It sounds like a police officer's walkie talkie. It sounds like a CB Radio. I had a Sound Blaster Tactics 3D Alpha ($40) before this one, and the microphone was 20 times better.

My advice is, don't buy this headset. I don't know if other Razer headsets are of decent quality, but the mic is so bad on this one. This is my first and last piece of Razer equipment. Many of my friends sport their black widow keyboards and death adder mouses, but you won't catch me buying anything from them again.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Works exactly has hoped
Comfortable on my head
Not too heavy
Doesn't shake off when swiveling from monitor to monitor
Cable extension ensures long cable life

Cons: Through certain ports audio from my headphones gets transmitted through outgoing, like youtube videos or such of the like. (Most likely a software problem with audio settings) Haven't had this with other headsets however.

Other Thoughts: Already has lasted longer than the turtle beaches I've only been allowed to afford the past while. Definitely worth it if you're interested in a gaming headset without spending too much, or sacrificing quality for price.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but not great either

Pros: Pretty good sound. Takes some adjusting with the an EQ. Personally i turned the highs and mids up and left the bass a little down and it balances out very nicely.

Decently Comfortable. Worn them a few times for longer than 3-4 hours and they never really bothered me.

I really love the color. I have lots of green and black clothes/shoes/etc, stylistically I love them.

Cons: Probably not worth 80 dollars. I really bought them becaues of the color.
Mic is extremely sensitive and will pick up sound from the headset if you actually want to listen to your game/music loudly. Headphones are fine at reducing outside noise but need to have something to combat internal noise.

Other Thoughts: Nothing more on this product but I am extremely happy with newegg. I ordered these at around 3 on thurseday and had them in my hand by friday at 5. I am not sure how I got less than 24 hour shipping when I only used the eggsaver shipping option but I am extremely impressed. It has probably confirmed me as a newegg customer for life.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!!!

Pros: -Great sound.
-Very comfortable.
-Just works

Cons: -cord twists

Other Thoughts: Im not really sure if its how i take it off or what, but the cord just wants to twist. Its nothing to take an egg off for or anything, but after a day of gaming i notice my cord is totally twisted. Not quite sure but i don't think my head spins round and round while im at the computer. Its easily remedied though because of the wire extension.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your cash instead

Pros: -Sound is pretty good after some adjustments
-looks great when not being worn
-mic quality is pretty decent
-the splitter is pretty useful
-retractable mic is pretty cool, I guess

Cons: -weak and cheap feeling plastic
-the plastic bit around my mic is already broken but don't want to waste my time with an RMA because it would probably be seen as misuse on my part and because of this, I can no longer retract my mic all the way without possibly breaking it
-gets painfully uncomfortable after a few hours of wearing them
-looks ridiculous when worn
-no in-line volume control
-overall pretty disapointed with this purchase and do regret it

Other Thoughts: Thought I was going to get at least 5.1 at this price but was sadly mistaken when the package arrived. I can't really blame Newegg or Razer for this as I should have taken a look at the manufacturer page for more details first. All things considered, however, I can't say that I feel like I'll be buying from Razer again any time soon.

2 out of 5 eggsSound quality horrid

Pros: Comfortable, keeps the outside sound out very well.

Cons: I have the 'RAZER CARCHARIAS' which are cheaper at the moment and the same price a few years ago. The Razer Carcharias have superb sound quality if tweaked right with an EQ; but sadly in these headphones it's a no go, very bad highs, mediocre mids and fake overdone sounding bass.

The build quality also isn't the greatest, it's cheap plastic like I'd expect from some cheap Skullcandy DJ headphones.

-Bad audio high's
-Mediocre mids
-Overly done bass
-Overpriced
-Cheap plastic

These headphones imo are worth maybe $35.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't ever buy another pair of Razer headphones now that I know they don't focus on sound quality; although I am very happy with my Carcharias as far as sound quality goes and comfort/build quality; but I can't risk to buy a pair of headphones for $80 and get $30 quality.

3 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware!

Pros: - Booming bass.
- Great microphone quality.
- Extremely comfortable.
- Unobtrusive retractable + flexible microphone.

Cons: - Microphone pick ups way too much noise coming from the headphones.
- The cord is very thin.
- Music can get drowned in the bass.

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware: if your audio is too loud it WILL bleed out from your headphones and into the microphone.

For example(s):

- If you're in a firefight people will hear the gunshots and other sounds.

- If someone interrupts you while you're talking they will hear themselves.

- If you're listening to music people will be hear it when you're talking.

And for me not to hear it completely I have to keep my Windows volume at 30% or lower. Anything else and people can hear the background audio loud and clear. Which is absurd when these are advertised as a gaming headset (i.e. where you want it to be loud).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome color
Very comfortable
Solid construction
Variable cord length b/c of the splitter
Folding earcups are convenient
Retractable mic mechanism feels solid

Cons: Sound quality is good, but the Tiamat 2.2 is noticeably clearer in all frequencies.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The sound originally wasn't the greatest but I believe that was because I hadn't yet played around with the sound settings on my new sound card - they sound much better now. Other gamers will find that they do look great. The retractable mic doesn't stand out very much so they're great to wear in public. Comes with a splitter so you won't have an extra mic cord dangling there if you aren't using it.

Cons: Perhaps it's my ears or that I've not worn headphones in a good while but I found them to be too uncomfortable to wear after 3 hours which, granted, is a good while to be wearing them but the pain they've caused me after that mark is awful and I've even got fairly small ears. It gives me a painful stinging sensation on the helix of my ear (the outer portion). I also can't say I'm too terribly impressed with the sound. I went from my Logitch 5.1 speakers to this and am a bit dissapointed. I was also hopping that they would be 5.1 or 7.1 but they're simply stereo sound which isn't something to be really complaining about considering they're headphones but I could have gone with a pair of Corsair headphones which do support surround sound and would be effectively using my new sound card for everything it's got. As far as looks go, most average people won't find them particularly appealing at all. The colors look great and the style does too but they're so bulky that I apparently resemble an astronaut while wearing them.

Other Thoughts: I'm no audiophile but as far as I can tell, they sound alright for headphones. I've been thinking about returning them as I find them to be very painful after a few hours but I also don't want to invest in a more expensive pair. I suppose the best I can say is that you get what you pay for.
