2 out of 5 eggsGreat whilst it lasted.

Pros: Sound quality is great, it's not superb, but its sound is better than other $50-$100 headsets that I've tested.
It's aesthetically pleasing if you're into the razer look.

Cons: After a year of average use, and EXTREMELY careful handling, this headset is a disappointment.
The mic is average quality, with poor noise cancelling qualities behind it.
After about a year of average use, and as said above with superior care, the right headphone is no longer operable. You can toggle with the headset and move it around and the sound goes in and out. At this time I'm past the 1 year MFG warranty with the product and there is an invisible break in the wiring.
The MFG process of making these has an issue where the wiring meets the focal point in the headset where the cups are able to move in and out for comfort. The design pinches the wire at a harsh angle and through wear and tear of average use this wire broke on the inside of its shielding.
The design is proprietary meaning if you attempt to take it apart and fix it yourself you'll only end up damaging the headset further.
For the original price I purchased these for ($99 at the time) I expect superior performance with equal quality build design. Instead I was delivered average performance with a sub-par design quality.
The software is buggy as hell, barely detects the software you're running, and the profiles are never remembered by the software. Leaving you to tweak the sound to your liking every time you want to use the headset.

2 eggs for alright performance whilst it lasted.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm very disappointed in this headset, I have a complete razer set up and have mostly sided with razer when it comes to peripherals. Now in the future I will be purchasing other headsets that offer much more for a similar price.

I'm not disappointed in my Deathadder 2014 mouse, or my Razer ultimate mechanical keyboard set up. However when it comes to the headsets I guess it's assumed you blow over $150 on something that offers a 'next gen' punch to it.

After this product I will not be purchasing any further headsets from razer. Or any sound producing device from them for that matter.

5 out of 5 eggsBest head set...

Pros: These are one of the best headset I ever used. I own a razor keyboard and it's simply flawless. Now I own the headset (I used to own the Turtle beach PX22 and it always break) and it's the only headset the near perfect.

Cons: The only problem that I hear is that it's to small for the head... Which is true. But razor is coming out with the new kraken 7.1 chroma and they said that it would be bigger.

Other Thoughts: Very good headset for an affordable price.

5 out of 5 eggsUNLEASH THE KRAKEN

Pros: Amazing feel. Impeccable design. The feeling that at any moment I could die and be totally okay with it. All this and more for the low low price of a Kraken from Razer... I'm so happy I could cry. My very first hardcore piece of gaming peripheral and it's everything it said it would be. Top quality sound. Amazing clarity in the mic.

Cons: It took a whole 4 days to get here because of labor day. OUTRAGE! Nah I'm just kidding but they DID ask.

Other Thoughts: I plan to get the chroma keyboard, and now that I've felt this. I will definitely be following suit with the chroma Kraken. Now if only I had the money.... TnT

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to use and easy to set up. Looks amazing with the neon logo. Mic is easily retractable so it will never get in the way if not needed. Probably one of the best looking headset to date. Nice thick durable wire so it will least likely to tear or rip.

Cons: The wiring when rubbing or moving can make a lot of noise in the left ear piece when you do not have sound on. When using for a long time your ear does get a little hot.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat headphones!

Pros: Great bass (after enhancing with Razer Synapse software)
USB interface creates less echo when video conferencing (vs analog interface)
LED lit logos on each side with led lit ring around mic
Comfy and greatly reduce surrounding noise
Surround sound works really well.

Cons: NO INLINE VOLUME CONTROL -- This would be incredibly handy and many current headsets have this capacity. Razer has failed to acknowledge the need for this. I think this would be very nice to be able to quickly mute or adjust volume mid game in case someone needs to mention something to me, I don't have to take 5 seconds to hit the function key. May seem silly to some, but I would find it very useful.

Also, inability to change colors. I have the Naga Epic and Black Widow combination as well and I like how I can change the colors of the Naga Epic. I would like it if I could change the color scheme of all three peripherals at any given time and have consistency with the colors. I would be very interested in changing the color scheme from time to time to match other Razer peripherals. Not a big issue, but something I think Razer should take note of.

Other Thoughts: The headset is fantastic. I have no regrets after purchasing. I would definitely recommend to friends, however there are just those few adjustments that would make this perfect.
